All I want to eat today is beef soup do you know how hard it is to find beef soup 🤦🏼‍♀️ I've had to go for a canned one which normally I would be turning my nose up at because I'm fussy 😂

Releasethehoundss · 14/09/2022 13:14

@mummatara I don't eat red meat 🤦 I do miss it, especially now, whenever I really am craving something, but it's not worth it afterwards lol. Red meat makes my liver swell (long story) so I cut it out years ago. Say hi to it for me... Tell it I'm thinking of it!

DBS94 · 14/09/2022 13:17

This is maybe TMI but has anyone seen an increase in discharge? I've noticed a lot thicker discharge especially around my cervix, kind of a stringy consistency?

Releasethehoundss · 14/09/2022 13:18

@DBS94 I do! Im changing panties and pants three times a day, otherwise I just feel gross... I'm showering more. And sweating more too???

mummatara · 14/09/2022 13:20

@Releasethehoundss I've said hello though it's now I'm my tummy 😂 oooh yes I love a steak I feel so bad for you 😭 I couldn't bear the sight of chicken last time DH was shocked the other night I cooked our chicken hello fresh dish I was like it doesn't offend me yet 😂

LauraA31 · 14/09/2022 13:20

@DBS94 yes!
mine is very watery though, sometimes it’s thicker but generally feels watery. EPU said it was normal but i have a lot going on down there!

@Releasethehoundss i have found im sweating more too, im so hot all the time!

mummatara · 14/09/2022 13:21

@DBS94 the last two days I have gone to the toilet convinced I'm bleeding because there's a lot more CM than there was

Wouldloveanother · 14/09/2022 13:23

I’m also having tons of CM 😷

Releasethehoundss · 14/09/2022 13:26

@mummatara I'm so hungry now. I bet that steak was so good. Especially with some steak sauce! And I also think every time I have an excess of discharge I'm going to wipe and see blood. I'm still nervous every time I go to the toilet. My very first miscarriage (after never having an issue keeping a pregnancy) I was leaving with my husband to run an errand and needed to sprinkle, and when I looked down I saw red. TMI, I'm sorry. But We're all thinking happy thoughts this time around and so far, so good! But it does worry me every time I feel it!

DBS94 · 14/09/2022 13:26

I keep googling it and it said off white and thicker can also be a sign of infection which I'm now panicking about 😂 there's no odour to it at all so don't know if I'm just panicking for nothing

Releasethehoundss · 14/09/2022 13:29

@DBS94 when I've been pregnant before with my boys I did have thick cm and discharge. It was totally normal. Its the wet stringy stuff I'm having now that worries me because it feels so close to the consistency of blood and until I get to a toilet and check I just start to feel panicky!

Wouldloveanother · 14/09/2022 13:32

I get a mix of thick and thin, and tons of it. It’s really annoying.

DBS94 · 14/09/2022 13:35

I don't feel it so much but I've noticed it when I change my knickers especially if I'm wearing black 😳 if im working from home I'm trying to wear baggy shorts and no knickers to let things breath 🤣 ah the joys!!

On the back of the convo re food - is there anything anyone is really missing not being able to eat? I've gone right off meat but we're having a big family dinner at the end of September and going to a steak restaurant and I'm just so gutted a can't have a medium rare steak drenched in peppercorn sauce 😂

Releasethehoundss · 14/09/2022 13:36

@LauraA31 I never had this problem before. Maybe its because I'm older now - mid 30s. But I feel like I've not used antiperspirant and its so annoying! I'm sweating everywhere, all over my body.

Releasethehoundss · 14/09/2022 13:38

@DBS94 I miss red meat so much. I also don't eat any meat. When I started using meat substitute and replacement, the rest of the meat products just went as well. I've had a bit of an interest in a succulent chicken breast here lately, thinking I might give one a taste. I can put steak sauce on that ! 😂

Skylark1990 · 14/09/2022 13:51

Ergh all this food talk is making me 🤢🤢🤢🤢😂😂😂😂😂

Skylark1990 · 14/09/2022 13:53

Loads of CM here too. It's totally normal (unless signs of infection present, such as smelly or painful or strange colour, but off white/ clear/ yellowy or white all normal I think) and your cervix's way of ensuring no infection can set in, it's flushing everything down the channel haha.

alwaysseeingstars · 14/09/2022 13:59

Another one with lots of CM! Terrified every time I go to the loo, looking forward to the fear calming down a notch 😂
@DBS94 the only thing I've gone off is broccoli, for some reason it tastes incredibly bitter every time I eat it!

Emeal123 · 14/09/2022 14:13

Oh gosh I’ve missed loads! Trying to catch up and briefly skim read the past couple of pages.

i had a chunky beef soup for lunch today it was SO GOOD!!

10 weeks tomorrow - feels like a milestone! Waiting for the MC anxiety to calm itself down! Have my booking in apt tomorrow and hoping that will trigger a scan date

CM here too and constantly checking there’s no blood every time I go to the toilet. Not sure if I will stop doing that at all before this baby is here lol

DBS94 · 14/09/2022 14:14

Thanks ladies, glad to know I'm not the only one having to change my knickers more often 😂😂

@Emeal123 im 10 weeks tomorrow too!! I feel like it's a bit of a milestone too, just two weeks to the 12 week mark ✨

Margo34 · 14/09/2022 14:21

On the food front - I've not gone off meat or wanted beef or similar, I've been that stereotype pregnant lady craving pickles 😂 I ate an entire jar of pickled red cabbage a couple of days ago it was divine!

bluebubbles12 · 14/09/2022 14:34

12 week scan appointment has come through - next Wednesday! Yay! Received a text reminder about it, but no actual letter has arrived yet, so I had to phone the community midwife to check. So excited for it to be public knowledge!

Releasethehoundss · 14/09/2022 14:47

@bluebubbles12 how exciting for you! Gosh, everyone else seems SO far ahead. I'm just 8 weeks... Due the very end of April! Good luck with your appointment!

Releasethehoundss · 14/09/2022 14:50

@Margo34 even before pregnancy I've always detested red cabbage. Idk where it gets off, being in EVERY bag of salad and ruining the last bit at the bottom of the bowl 😡 It drives me bananas. But I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've never had a weird/unusual food craving, except for meat and that's because I did love eating it before I cut it from my diet.
Has anyone else not ever had food cravings for things they don't already eat?

SIUUU · 14/09/2022 14:57

Hello everyone. I am a soon to be dad who has a baby due (we believe based on what the midwife said) on 26th April! I was someone who was very non plussed about having kids but once we found out about the pregnancy, it is all I can ever think about. We went for a reassurance scan at 6 weeks and was amazed by what I saw. Even managed to see a little heart beating away. It took my breath away. I feel so sorry for my wife as she feels nausea all the time (the mood swings too.... YIKES!!) and I do my best to comfort her and make her feel as well as she can. Any tips on this would be greatly appreciated as I am quite clueless despite reading everything I can.

Massive congrats to everyone expecting on this thread. I wish each and every one of you a happy and comfortable pregnancy!
