@Margo34 I can feel the top of my uterus poking up now so I think I'll have a bump soon. I didn't really show with my first until around 20ish weeks. But everything is a bit more stretched out this time!

Heath2330 · 29/09/2022 22:37

@Hannah223344 Thankyou!

@ancienthouse yes definitely I've been feeling all them things too but does make sense with the amount of scar tissue I expect there is and yeah the risk in small think it's like 4% or something I've decided not to try for Vbac just gunna go for elcs purely because of the risk of labouring and then having sections anyway the exhaustion really affected my recovery last time and the not being able to have skin to skin so I'm having a gentle csection which my local hospital supports x

DBS94 · 30/09/2022 06:52

Ladies, I know we've to avoid soft ripened cheeses like Brie etc but is it okay if it's deep fried? X

EMcG3 · 30/09/2022 06:58

@Longbin - I felt like my life was draining from me in an urgent but ambiguous way, not specifically dizzy. But I would not be surprised if others felt dizzy - it feels like the right family of symptoms as it is also an effect of low blood pressure. Lowered blood pressure is the issue if the baby is putting pressure on your critical vein.

MamaMenna · 30/09/2022 07:31

@DBS94 I've just ordered baked camembert on a set menu and looked it up to check, it's fine as long as long as it's hot all the way through

Skylark1990 · 30/09/2022 07:45

I definitely have a bump now and yes looks like I did at about 20+ weeks with DD 😅 @Margo34 !

Re sleeping, a pregnancy pillow and pillow behind the back can help with rolling over fully onto our backs. Personally I wouldn't sleep on my front now as with the little bump forming I'd be worried about squashing things and also probs wouldn't be comfortable. My midwife said best thing is to alternate sides throughout the night when we wake up. Back sleeping only becomes a potential issue after 16 weeks due to the vein thing @EMcG3 mentioned

@ancienthouse the length of your labour sounds like mine but even longer! You trooper x

ancienthouse · 30/09/2022 07:52

@Skylark1990 if it's true that labour time halves for second time round then we will both be absolute pros even for a 2 day labour! Easy peasy 😅

The back sleeping thing annoys me because I never ever sleep on my back, except when I'm pregnant I find myself waking up on my back, whyyyy?!!

@SavedByGraceAlone me 🙋‍♀️11+2 and not really feeling any particular symptoms either. It's worrying me! One week til scan for me and it can't come soon enough 🙏

Has anyone else got an unmistakable bump yet? I took pictures throughout pregnancy with DC1 and comparatively, my body looks the same now at 11+2 as I did at 23w before!!!! 🙈

I definitely have a noticeable bump now. 13w on Monday and I probably look the same as I did at 16-18 weeks with my daughter! Mad. It’s a proper bump shape as well rather than bloating.

AliceinSlumberland · 30/09/2022 08:42

Four times I woke up for a wee in the night, four!!!!

Im a first timer so no bump for me yet although the bottom bit of my belly is definitely firmer and sticking out a bit - not sure if this is how it starts? Just looks like a bit of extra tub though and maybe that’s what it is 😂

DBS94 · 30/09/2022 08:51

First timer here too and no bump but very very bloated and definitely packing more on the tummy 😂😂 went to Tesco last night to get a size up in leggings!

Has anyone had worse gas/wind whilst being pregnant? I wake up with a sore stomach every morning and need to go to the loo with bad gas (sorry probably not the chat you want whilst having breakfast) 🤣

PuddingBear · 30/09/2022 08:54

I’m 11 weeks today and definitely have a noticeable bump that I didn’t have with my first until 16/17 weeks!

I think my colleagues suspect but are too polite to ask thankfully 😅 Waiting until 12 weeks can to announce.

Gilm0reGirl · 30/09/2022 09:04

11 weeks and 50% of the clothes I brought on holiday with me no longer fit over my boobs or look rubbish as my stomach looks 4 months pregnant. Send help

EMcG3 · 30/09/2022 09:42

@PuddingBear - when I told my colleagues I was pregnant at 12 weeks, everyone who had children politely told me they were well aware. I feel fortunate those who knew were also too polite to ask. The childless people were surprised, though!

MamaMenna · 30/09/2022 10:03

9 1/2 weeks here and a definite bump forming, but still probably only visible to me. When lying down on my side it seems the biggest and definitely getting firmer and more baby like. And it goes all the way up to where my 9 month bump topped out last time! My body must remember the stretch!

Longbin · 30/09/2022 10:18

I have a quite a large bump already, I'm about the same size as I was around 20 weeks! No one guessed apparently! I think a lot of people are quite unobservant though, and I always have a bloated stomach during the afternoon when not pregnant so look quite round

Hannah223344 · 30/09/2022 12:05

@DBS94 yes! Particularly uncomfortable under my ribs/top of stomach at night

PuddingBear · 30/09/2022 12:08

@EMcG3 Ha ha! Most of my colleagues don’t have children, so there’s that 😅

I think it’s more obvious for me because I’m a size 6 and never put weight on so it’s quite a bit more noticeable, especially when our work uniform is relatively tight.

Emeal123 · 30/09/2022 13:26

I’ve missed so much just trying to catch up! Been for my 12 week scan today feel so much more reassured all looked ok and baby very active 🥰 12+3 today and due 11th April xx

Cuppasoupmonster · 30/09/2022 16:52

Great pic @Emeal123 ! Would you like me to do a nub guess or are you team cream?

LauraA31 · 30/09/2022 16:54

@Cuppasoupmonster when does the nub theory work from? We have our scan on Thursday next week but will only be 11+2, can’t wait for you to give it a guess haha!

@Emeal123 what a wonderful photo! X

Cuppasoupmonster · 30/09/2022 16:56

Generally 11-12 weeks it’s clear enough to take a good guess!

Gilm0reGirl · 30/09/2022 17:10

@Emeal123 lovely scan photo!

Springblooms08 · 30/09/2022 17:16

Had my scan today and it was amazing to see baby - too early for the screening as I predicted so need to go back in a week or two. Nonetheless a huge relief and baby was very active! Probably too early for nub @Cuppasoupmonster ?!

@Emeal123 Lovely photo 💛

hope everyone is doing well today x

DBS94 · 30/09/2022 17:20

Lovely seeing everyone's scans!!

@Springblooms08 how many weeks are your xx

Springblooms08 · 30/09/2022 17:22

@DBS94 I was sure I was 10+5 but measured as 11+2 today - they said baby was just too small to carry out the screening so will be rebooked for that x
