@Tryingmybest345 oh ok that’s reassuring to hear thank you :)

CinderellaFant · 25/09/2022 17:46

@Wouldloveanother I feel exactly the same. I just can't get any energy at all, I've literally done nothing all weekend. Embarrassed to admit however I'm still in my pyjamas now at 5.45 in the evening after doing nothing but lying on the sofa all day.

Wouldloveanother · 25/09/2022 17:50

Not just me then! Although I feel for you all!

Excitingly I just managed to eat most of a roast dinner and it looks like it’s staying down! 🎉

I’ve stopped taking pregnacare. It just makes me more sick and I think at this point I need to focus on slowly starting to introduce healthy food again. Im 11+6 so tomorrow would be the ‘official’ okay day to stop taking it anyway. I’ll go back to taking a regular multivitamin when the HG hopefully goes.

ancienthouse · 25/09/2022 18:01

@Wouldloveanother I feel the same way too! In my first pregnancy I had constant nausea and food aversions and lived off toast and cereal. But I was still going into work and volunteering and travelling - I was so busy the whole first trimester. This time round I feel so much worse and can barely get out of bed. I'm not sure what's different.

Gilm0reGirl · 25/09/2022 18:07

Honestly I don't know if it's the vomiting virus I caught still sticking around or if I've developed more morning sickness because I can't keep food down. DD must have caught a virus at nursery the day before we had our flight because she was so unwell and off all food from the day we arrived. Then the sickness started. She's now better but DH caught it first then I came down with it about 8hrs after him. It was horrendous, even with an empty stomach after being sick all night the tiniest bit of water would set it off again. I've managed to eat some fruit today and drink water and only been sick once, but now I just feel hungover/nauseous/headachy. DD is better now but DH and I are barely functioning. Send help 😩

ViMa1820 · 25/09/2022 19:15

Hello everyone.
I've not been able to catch up with this group for such a long time! I do not feel like there's a minute spare in my day at the moment, two DDs - 2yrs and 4yrs so it's go go go. And work had been full on too lately so no rest there either lol.

I had a 10 week scan on Friday, the sonographer said i looked more like like 11weeks as baby's arms and legs were further on in development and that the umbilical cord was longer than you'd expect at 10 weeks. So gawd knows, I'm usually pretty spot on with my dates. Hospital scan isn't until 10th oct which feel like ages away. But I'm sure it'll fly!

Sorry to hear so many ladies are suffering with sickness, that is miserable! Old wives tale says sickness = girl right? Although I had none with either of my two girls lol!
Hope your all ok x

Longbin · 25/09/2022 19:52

@Wouldloveanother I feel rubbish too. I struggle to do anything as I've either got a migraine or I'm just too tired. I was sick constantly in my first pregnancy and all I've had is nausea this time but the exhaustion has stopped me being able to do anything. I haven't even had my family over to visit as I can't handle seeing anyone

MamaMenna · 25/09/2022 20:11

@DBS94 re the blood after a no. 2, yes me, that is often what triggers it. I figure the blood is waiting to come out and the action squeezes that area too and causes it to come out.

I was convinced I was having a boy first time round because I had no sickness, I was so surprised to find out girl. This time I am nauseous so I have no idea!

Wouldloveanother · 25/09/2022 21:08

@Gilm0reGirl oh god are you still abroad? Sounds like a nightmare. We seem to be having it very tough in this group don’t we! 😔

Wouldloveanother · 26/09/2022 03:04

Wide awake and just been sick 😭 first time since this morning though so hoping things are heading in the right direction. I’m knackered.

Longbin · 26/09/2022 03:16

@Wouldloveanother I'm wide awake too. I'll be wondering why I'm so exhausted all day tomorrow 🙄

Gilm0reGirl · 26/09/2022 03:56

@Wouldloveanother yep still have another 10 days worth of the holiday. I'm hoping we can improve the remainder of it. Pregnancy insomnia is a pain isn't it I feel for you and @Longbin

1stimer16 · 26/09/2022 07:48

Morning! I had my booking appointment on Friday and they confirmed my blood type as negative, they have said I may need injection to stop my body producing antibodies if baby is positive, anyone had this?

DBS94 · 26/09/2022 08:37

@1stimer16 my mum had this! She is O negative blood type. She said there's so much going on that you doing even notice them injecting you - it's very quick and painless and they don't make a big thing of it x

Longbin · 26/09/2022 08:44

@1stimer16 I had anti d injection in my bum when I was pregnant, I think jt sounds like the same thing. I think it was done at about 28 weeks

1stimer16 · 26/09/2022 08:56

@dbs94 @Longbin yeh she said I would need one at 28 weeks and one after I give birth and should be fine! I’m ok with it just never heard of it before x

KennAdams · 26/09/2022 09:29

It's to do with making sure your body doesn't create antibodies against any future positive babies I think.

I found they just sting a bit but nothing major. You also need to have them if you have a bleed.

Anyone else feel like their 12 week scan is ages away!? Hurry up October 6th 😬

DBS94 · 26/09/2022 09:35

@KennAdams yesss!! I'm on the home stretch, 12 week scan is a week tomorrow (4th) and im counting down the days 😂 im loving seeing everyone's scan pictures

Tropicana1 · 26/09/2022 09:48

@Wouldloveanother I feel exactly the same way. I do find myself better at work than home and think when I'm busy and my mind is occupied I can power through but as soon as I'm at home o just go back to feeling absolutely horrendous all the time and can't do anything productive! Mind you having said that I almost passed out in theatre at work last week got all shaky and dizzy and had to take a breather.

Been keeping up reading the thread but just feel rubbish generally so not much to add which is why I've not been chatting 😂 hoping the next 2 weeks flies by and once I'm second trimester I feel more myself again

Longbin · 26/09/2022 09:52

My scan is finally tomorrow! I should be 12+6. Can't believe I'm in the magical second trimester in 2 days 🥴

MamaMenna · 26/09/2022 11:13

@1stimer16 I'm rhesus negative too and had the anti d injection at 28 weeks last time and presumably after baby arrived too, but I can't remember haha. I had one a couple of weeks ago too because I bled. Its a big old injection, first time it stung but last time it didn't, just takes an age for them to administer

Wisher88 · 26/09/2022 12:11

Have another planned private scan booked in for tomorrow, 9wks 5ds according to first day last period but at a 6wks6ds was measuring 6wks 2ds (I definitely ovulate late in my cycle). So I'm expecting about 9wks.
Anyone happy to share their 9/10wk scan photos?
Hoping it'll look more like a baby this time. Feeling very anxious that it might not have grown because I've never vomited, only had some nausea.

Wouldloveanother · 26/09/2022 12:22

I’m also rhesus negative. in my pregnancy with Dd, they did a blood test to find out her blood type. It was also negative so no injections needed. I’ll find out next week if this baby is rhesus negative as well or whether I will need the anti-D.

Marshmallowmountain · 26/09/2022 13:15

Is anyone having additional NIPT testing like Harmony or Panorama? I can’t work out if I should do it or not. It’s £500 so not exactly a small sum!!

Longbin · 26/09/2022 13:25

@Marshmallowmountain I've already had the harmony test and glad I have just for piece of mind, but I get very anxious over tests and waiting for results
