It's probably colostrum already @DBS94 just getting all ready for feeding baby! Nothing to worry about 🙂 if you squeeze them in the shower / if they're quite warm you may get more out.

Skylark1990 · 22/09/2022 16:06

Had my scan and all was well! Very reassuring to see the little baby, although I'm a little sore in places where she pressed the wand into me. Hoping no harm done! Measuring 1 day ahead at 11+4 but I'll stick with my NHS date of 11+3 for now. Definitely nice to get a glimpse after feeling so sick for so long.

Just two weeks till the NHS scan now!

Also you can see the nub quite clearly although it's still early days. But guesses welcome haha @Wouldloveanother looking at you

Wouldloveanother · 22/09/2022 16:11

Oh that’s quite clearly a girl @Skylark1990 !! What a clear nub! Lovely to hear all is well and healthy 💜

AliceinSlumberland · 22/09/2022 16:22

Ahhhh @Skylark1990 how exciting, lovely scan picture! I don’t blame you getting another one - we had one at 7 weeks and had another one yesterday at 10.5 weeks and it was so nice to feel reassured!

Tropicana1 · 22/09/2022 16:27

Hey ladies, been off thread for a few days because the nausea really came back with a vengeance after me thinking it had got better 🤦🏼‍♀️ 9+5 today and counting down the days to the 12/13 week mark where it definitely eased off last time.

Lovely to see some great scan pics coming through! Hope everyone else is coping ok

Deek88 · 22/09/2022 16:53

Hey everyone,

NHS scan today dated me at 9 weeks so slightly ahead of where the private scan dated us 2 weeks ago!

Going back in 3 weeks for the 12 week official dating scan but was amazing to see baby wriggling about in there today.

They also found a SCH under the sac, but was told not to worry…

MamaMenna · 22/09/2022 17:01

@Deek88 congrats on the scan! I've just been reading about SCH wondering if that's the reason I've been bleeding / spotting, but seems it wouldn't be yet as at 8 weeks it's too soon. Interesting they can see one at 9 weeks. Did they say how big it is? Were you told to rest?

SFrancis1 · 22/09/2022 17:09

Hi everyone - congratulations all on your pregnancies. I have been following the thread in the background, but wanted to ask the golden question: What are your strategies to stop overthinking that something will go wrong? I am 11+4 weeks today, my scan is not until I am 13+1 weeks. I have all the pregnancy symptoms and no signs that anything is a miss. I just need to think positively and not get caught out on the days when I can't stop but overthink.

Hi everyone. Just thought I'd introduce myself. We have a 9 week scan tomorrow morning and I'm feeling so nervous! Pregnancy has really messed with my digestion - swinging between feeling sick and feeling hungry but my bowels have basically stopped working the last few weeks! It's meaning I'm feeling huge and bloated... I'm getting married a week on Saturday and would love to feel more comfortable in my wedding dress!!

I'm on Lactulose from docs but I wondered if anyone else is struggling and what you're doing?

Deek88 · 22/09/2022 17:52

@MamaMenna
As soon as she had checked baby, she went straight to the SCH and measured it.
it’s around 2.5cm which was ‘small’ by comparison to the gestation sac and she imagines it will be reabsorbed by my next scan in 3 weeks but said if I have any bleeding, that will most likely be the cause.
No mention of rest or anything.

I had a SCH with my twins as well which they found on my 8 week scan but that was classified as large against the sac sizes so I was put on bed rest and it caused a huge bleed for 4 weeks but all turned out fine in the end x

Heath2330 · 22/09/2022 17:56

@Tubbytele yes seen midwife again yesterday they said it's my full blood found has come back with either low hb or low mean cell volume and they don't do ferritin at booking so had more bloods done yesterday and then they rang me today and lab has done LFT instead of ferritin so got to have them done again at midwife next week 🙈 they gunna be sick of seeing me and I've got difficult veins the poor midwife is gutted 🤣

DBS94 · 22/09/2022 18:13

Measuring 11+1 with a healthy wriggly bean! They're even waving at us..... although looks like a middle finger!

Congrats @DBS94 ! Lovely scan 💕

Thanks everyone, now let's just hope the sickness eases off soon and everything keeps ticking along as it should 🥰

LauraA31 · 22/09/2022 19:04

Hi ladies, had a booking scan today.. all went well until this evening, ive started bleeding and terrified!

DBS94 · 22/09/2022 19:11

@LauraA31 oh no!! Is the bleeding heavy? Have you any other symptoms?

DBS94 · 22/09/2022 19:34

Those of you who have had scans, did the sonographer check your ovary's?

Both scans have been to the sonographer (two different ones) haven't been able to locate my left ovary and it's freaking me out a bit 😳 not sure if anyone has experienced this now or previously?

Heath2330 · 22/09/2022 19:36

@DBS94 I've had this few years ago sonographer even asked me did they remove it during my csection 🙈 eventually was located when had other scans under fertility and it is sat behind my womb and was still sat there on my 7 weeks scan midwife thinks it may be attached with adhesions from my C-section. But it is common for ovaries to hide behind your womb apparently but they normally come out except mine which has stayed there on every scan for the last 4 years

Gilm0reGirl · 22/09/2022 19:47

Congratulations @DBS94 and @Skylark1990! Lovely scan photos it's so nice to see them when they start looking like babies and you can see them moving round.

DBS94 · 22/09/2022 19:49

@Heath2330 I was so freaked out about it! Neither of them made a big deal about it and todays one said that it was hiding under a shadow so I didn't ask much more about it because I was focusing on the baby but I'm tempted to phone tomorrow to speak with her and see if she can rescan focussing on finding it

Tubbytele · 22/09/2022 19:50

Lovely scan pics! @DBS94 and @Skylark1990

@Heath2330 poor you, that's a lot of blood tests. Hope they manage to check everything at your next appt.

Heath2330 · 22/09/2022 19:50

@DBS94 yeah I would just to put your mind at ease it hasn't caused me any problems so far though and even fertility doctor didn't think that was the reason we wasn't conceiving

KennAdams · 22/09/2022 20:34

Beautiful photo @DBS94

@LauraA31 hope everything is OK. Ring your epu tomorrow and see if they'll see you. X
