@Releasethehoundss eeek good luck

Has anyone had Covid so far during their pregnancy or previous pregnancies. I'm 11+5 today and have already had three scans which show everything to be fine (as much as they can) I have my NHS scan Tuesday. I'm reading conflicting things online about the risks of Covid in early pregnancy and can't help but feel worried!

Sod's law as I've not had Covid yet at all before now. I'm vaccinated twice + booster

Releasethehoundss · 15/09/2022 15:34

Hullo ladies.. Boy that was a HOOT! So y'all already know they've had a hard time finding this baby because it just does not want to come out of the shadows! 🤦 The Dr. was very aggressive with that wand and could not see the little bug at all! She was only able to catch a glimpse of him on an abdominal scan. It is so weird... I've got a new due date of the 2nd of May but I'm still delivering in April so wonder if it's okay if I still hang around on this thread... Now I'm 7+4 but meh... At least its a baby and I thought it might change because even at 6 weeks they weren't seeing anything in the sac and then the next week they did so I'm guessing I am a few days behind...
Without further ado, here's the tiniest glimpse of #5

@Biscuitsplease I've had it in all three pregnancies. Once in the last trimester and twice in first tri

Releasethehoundss · 15/09/2022 15:36

@Biscuitsplease my gf had covid during her pregnancy earlier this year and she was fine and was her baby ❤ I did get the vaccination as well but as far as I know I've not had it

mummatara · 15/09/2022 15:36

@Releasethehoundss ahhhh yay least they found the LO 💕

Releasethehoundss · 15/09/2022 15:38

@mummatara yes ma'am. He's in there and that is what matters. Very relieved!

DBS94 · 15/09/2022 15:46

@Releasethehoundss wooohoo! Sneaky little bean. Stay with us on this thread ✨

This is maybe another TMI and you'll maybe read this and wonder Wtf is she going on about 😂 but, has anyone had shooting paint in their butt? I used to get the odd sharp pain if I was constipated or on AF but they've been baaaad since falling pregnant. I don't know if it's maybe because I'm eating more stodgy food and definitely haven't been as regular but the shooting pains in my bum are intense!!

alwaysseeingstars · 15/09/2022 15:46

@Biscuitsplease not me personally but friends of mine have had it in first and third trimesters, all ok! 😊
@Releasethehoundss ahh lovely, glad she managed to find baby in the end! you must be chuffed 😊

EMcG3 · 15/09/2022 15:51

@Biscuitsplease - I had COVID in my first few weeks of pregnancy and baby seems fine (I had a 12 week scan where they put my gestational age back a bit. I also know a couple people who have had COVID in pregnancy and one person who gave birth with COVID. No one seems to have had issues, but if they are low-probability issues, that's not hugely surprising. I'd say it is pretty good luck not having it so far and just keep taking the boosters and hope you can skip it entirely!

Wouldloveanother · 15/09/2022 15:57

Congrats to all the new scans! Lovely to see the photos. Like you @Releasethehoundss i will be delivery early - 37 weeks, so with a due date of 10th April I will be giving birth at the end of March. Hoping to stick around here anyway!

@Skylark1990 i really, really feel for you. Its just so grim and relentless. I wish I had some good advice other than the usual take it easy stuff 😞 I had a midwife appointment at home today, I felt so awful lying there in my pyjamas with my sick bowl out, need to remind myself they’re probably not fazed at all but it all feels a bit demoralising at the moment. Can you ask for home appointments due to feeling so unwell?

The midwife was truly lovely, I really liked her so I’m pleased she’s been assigned to me. Anyway, that’s me all booked in, next stop is the first trimester scan on 4th.

EMcG3 · 15/09/2022 16:07

@Biscuitsplease - added the bit about gestational age to explain why I have already had a 12 week scan, not because I think the gestational age was impacted by COVID! Just realised you can't edit posts.

Longbin · 15/09/2022 16:51

@DBS94 I remember when I was pregnant before lots of people had these. I used to get them in my crotch which sound quite similar 'lighting crotch/fanny daggers'... lovely 😂

Fanny daggers 😂😂😂 brilliant!

somethingluscious · 15/09/2022 17:23

@Biscuitsplease I had COVID last week between 7-8 weeks last week. It was just like a really bad cold & I struggled through Thursday / Friday at work before testing positive on Saturday. I ended up taking Monday & Tuesday off even though I was over the worst of it as I was just so exhausted. The exhaustion was pretty insane. It lasted about a week & LFT was negative by Tuesday. For a week I mostly slept it off. It don't think it impacted my pregnancy at all though. It was milder than when I had it last December.

I have my booking appointment tomorrow and another scan at EPAU next week. I don't think I'd joined this thread yet as was being super cautious, but I think my due date is 24th April.

Hi ladies!

Scan this morning went well, measuring 8+1 so back to the original dates.
Saw baby and a heartbeat so we were really chuffed! When we zoomed in we could see the little buds of arms starting to grow!

One thing is i have a little pocket of blood next to where baby is in my uterus, it’s measuring 2cm and the midwife said i may bleed if this bursts or i might absorb it back into my body. She said she would only be concerned if it grew to 5cm.
I don’t have to go back because my dating scan is on 6th October, feeling a lot better but still a bit worried about this little pocket of blood!

Photo of tiny bean shaped blob attached 😅

Isn't it the most beautiful thing that you will ever see!

Skylark1990 · 16/09/2022 10:59

Feeling marginally less sick today... even went out for breakfast and had poached eggs! I think my body is happy I actually ate some protein and something healthy 😅It'll probably set in again soon but I'm happy I don't feel too bad this morning....

@Wouldloveanother my next midwife appt isn't till 16 weeks so hoooopefully I'm a bit better by then. Sorry to hear about you feeling so bad too, it truly is grim... solidarity <3 When did it lift with your DD's pregnancy?

How is everyone today? x

Skylark1990 · 16/09/2022 11:00

@Releasethehoundss congrats on your little bean! Sounds like it certainly likes playing hide and seek :)

Longbin · 16/09/2022 11:43

Glad you're starting to feel better @Skylark1990! I feel a bit better myself now too and feeling less anxious as well. Still can't wait to reach 13 weeks though. It's not dragging quite as badly now that I can get up and do stuff!

Emeal123 · 16/09/2022 11:46

Hi everyone I had my booking in appointment yesterday and she did my carbon monoxide reading which came out as high.. I don’t smoke and have a detector at home which isn’t flagging up any worries about my gas boiler or anything in the house. Has anyone else had this? Is this another thing to be anxious about 😅😩

It won’t be long until people start having their 12 week scans eeekk I’m excited to see them! Hope everyone is feeling ok today and the fatigue & sickness is soon on it’s way out 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Longbin · 16/09/2022 11:51

@Emeal123 do you live in a city? What did they suggest you do?

Releasethehoundss · 16/09/2022 12:06

Can someone tell me how to contact a moderator or someone from MN?

How high? I would try and pick up another home monitor today in the first instance! Hope it's nothing

mummatara · 16/09/2022 12:11

@Releasethehoundss if your on a phone there's a section in the settings that says contact mn

Emeal123 · 16/09/2022 12:28

@Longbin I live on the outskirts of a city but I had just spent an hour on the M1 prior to the appointment. She wasn’t great if I’m honest, just said she would check again at 28 week appointment, I commented that seemed a while away considering she said my reading was high and then she said she may redo it at my 16 week appointment and see if it has gone down. I asked how I could make it come down and she suggested it could be from air pollution and didn’t give any advice..

@ghool She told me to blow into the reader and it just kept going up so it was at number 8 when she told me to stop blowing. I initially thought that was low as i could see the chart went up to 20 something but she said it was in the ‘red zone’ for baby - I don’t know much about it at all! i think I might try an at home one and then do some research after that
