@wonderfulworld33 yes in a way! Although I think nausea kicked in today, either that or I was just worrying too much about my early scan. Which wasn't quite as reassuring as hoped although appreciate it's still early days. By LMP I'm 6+4 but scan was measuring around 5+6, sac, yolk and a flickering heartbeat... Got to go back in two weeks and hope the bean has caught up a bit 🙃

Sounds like a positive scan!
Why do they think it is fewer weeks than you thought? I find it very confusing!
We are going to book in a scan at 8 weeks I think X

Hi all. Been quiet for quite a while since getting BFP. Currently 7+4 and nausea well and truly kicked in. I've had waves since the beginning but it's been 24/7 since Thursday and struggling to get off the couch. Going on holiday later in the week so asked the doctor for a prescription and will hopefully get it tomorrow. Also got a face to face appt with my midwife tomorrow so feels a bit more real (as if the overwhelming nausea wasn't enough). Also have an early scan booked when we're back and I'll be about 9 weeks so excited about that.

bellaolive · 20/09/2022 21:37

@Charl881 me!!! 7+4 today with baby #2 and I feel so so bloated 😅😅😅

raffika · 20/09/2022 22:54

Thanks @Janch13 I’ve ordered some jeggings in a size up, hopefully they’ll do the trick!

2bm · 20/09/2022 23:30

@isitaline97 so sorry for your loss. Take time to grieve, it’s an awfully sad thing to happen. I hope you’re ok.

@Snowflakes2 i hope you’re doing ok and that you’ve got some answers.

Moraxella · 21/09/2022 00:54

where is everyone going for their 7-8 week scans?

Awkwardusername · 21/09/2022 08:14

When should I stop testing? I know a lot of women will get one positive and believe it but I still don’t, I’m 5+2 and today looked lighter than yesterdays (both first wee of the day) so I’ve scared myself a bit, especially with some cramping last night.

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 21/09/2022 08:24

@Awkwardusername I'm in week 5 and have decided to stop now. Tests won't likely get too much darker and can start to drop too, esp after 9 weeks. So no pt looking at them!

I'm super tired - this am I got up at 7am, walked to sofa, sat down, fell back asleep!

Gizzy93 · 21/09/2022 08:39

I know I should stop testing, but I don't get my blood results until Friday afternoon. It's going to start going the other way soon I think 😬

may111 · 21/09/2022 08:40

Did you just ring your doctor to request a blood test? I rang yesterday and they didn't really seem interested and I'm only 4w 2d. Would love to see my hcg levels as I'm very nervous this time round

may111 · 21/09/2022 08:41

@Gizzy93 that looks like a very strong line! 👏🏻

Gizzy93 · 21/09/2022 08:44

@may111 I'm in Australia so my first hcg I ordered the test online, and this one I just went to my gp and said I'm pregnant so she ran a bunch of tests including hcg

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 21/09/2022 09:05

@may111 unfortunately you'll find UK GPs will not run HCG routinely for pregnancy. I know it's v stressful but it doesn't tell you enough to be useful - in our previous loss the HCG kept going up and in fact I stayed positive on tests for 9 weeks after surgery for a missed miscarriage

may111 · 21/09/2022 10:05

We spend so long waiting for a bfp and when we eventually get it all we do is worry 🙈 roll on the 12 week mark 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Snowflakes2 · 21/09/2022 10:07

@2bm I was in a lot of pain on Monday with my back rang the hospital to be told to take a test then go from there. I took a digital one and seeing the words not pregnant was devastating. I didn't pass a load of blood so even though I knew I had lost it I was still holding out hope.

We will try again once we are ready I'm sure.

Thanks for checking up.

RugbyGirl1 · 21/09/2022 11:21

@wonderfulworld33 just based on the size of what they could see, so it looks a little smaller than they would expect for my LMP dates. I've read a lot online with both positive and negative outcomes so will see what the scan is like in two weeks time 😊

@may111 I use medichecks for blood checks. They do a HCG one and a HCG+ progesterone so if you do want to know you can pay for them. According to articles online, after levels of 6000 the increase slows down a bit so rather than doubling every other day it takes about 96 hours to double

@Snowflakes2 I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. Take care of yourself and take time to heal 💐

Melusina123 · 21/09/2022 12:10

@Snowflakes2 I'm very sorry to hear this. 😔I was really hoping for good news for you. Look after yourself.

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl I'm so TIRED! 😩why do people keep trying to make me work or socialise when all I want to do is sleep?!

@Awkwardusername I stopped testing at about 5w, not because I believed I was pregnant (I had a scan at 6+1, not 7+3 and still don't particularly believe it) but because I knew I would drive myself absolutely crazy if I didn't force myself to step away from the pee-sticks.

@RugbyGirl1 A heartbeat is a very good sign! Fx next scan you'll have had some good growth.

@Gizzy93 Congrats! Where in Aus are you? I'm from Brisbane but based in London these days.

may111 · 21/09/2022 12:12

@Melusina123 how was your scan at 6w 1d? I have one booked for 6w 3d which I know is early but hoping to see a heart beat (and put my mind at rest)

Gizzy93 · 21/09/2022 12:12

@Melusina123 I'm in Northern NSW 😊

Melusina123 · 21/09/2022 12:49

@may111 it was good. I had some spotting on the Saturday, freaked out massively and went to A&E, booked for a scan on the Monday at 6+1. Scan found a little blob in the right places bang on dates (literally 6+1, thank you regular menstrual cycle), and I got prescribed progesterone which was my main goal. I was very ready for a bad or inconclusive outcome though, given how early it was. Tbh I wouldn't have chosen to have a scan that early myself. It's such a lottery whether it's reassuring or unnecessarily worrying when you're that early and IME the reassurance is fleeting because so much can still go wrong after the 6w mark. But different people feel differently about that and at least it's good to not have to worry about ectopic!

@Gizzy93 nice part of the world!

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 21/09/2022 13:50

@Melusina123 I could easily have a nap at every lunchtime and after lunch

Laura993 · 21/09/2022 13:52

I’m 7 weeks today by LMP. My nausea has massively kicked in and I’ve now started with a UTI. How fun! 🤦‍♀️

AmericanGirl915 · 21/09/2022 13:59

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl me too! 7+1 today, and no real nausea, but the fatigue is on another level...especially in the afternoon and evenings!

tiantian1005 · 21/09/2022 16:09

I should be 7 weeks tmw - all day nausea last weekend but absolutely nothing today I suddenly feel fine and am really panicking... anyone else having the same aka nausea on and off?

My symptoms are complete on and off and I keep panicking as well. I wold say to you I'm sure it's fine but I don't follow that line of thinking myself 🙄
