So sorry to hear @isitaline97 & @Snowflakes2 , so sad.

TheBeesKnee · 17/09/2022 12:21

5+5 today. Woke up at 3am with really painful boobs. Was sick about an hour ago (only second time since BFP) and am REALLY emotional. I'm currently on the bus fighting back tears because of my music Rise Against in case anyone is curious.

TisforTucan · 17/09/2022 13:42

Hi everyone properly introduced myself, 7 and 5 days. This is my third.. Shocked lol, not completely over the moon right now as I have hyperemesis with all my pregnancies and like clock work I'm very unwell this time. Usually right until baby makes an apparence too 😭.

Struggling as it seems worse this one, like I'm off food, I don't fancy anything and I had to leave our shopping yesterday as the sight of food had me 🤢. Nausea all day and vomiting more so at night although i cant eat in the day.

Feeling it has to be another boy to do this to me 🤣. Hope baby will be ok as I feel awful and feel like a shit mum with my little ones right now. Wouldn't wish this on anyone x

Bouncingbeat · 17/09/2022 14:16

4+2 got my bfp yesterday and did a digital today to confirm. Then about an hour ago cramps and bleeding. 😢 Not sure what to do. Have a doctors appointment on Tuesday, should I get checked before that? What does the progesterone do?

Snowflakes2 · 17/09/2022 15:56

I rang my doctor yesterday and he said it was a waiting game and to ring back on tue if I don't have a heavy bleed and they will see me at EPU.
I hope your everything goes OK with you.

Snowflakes2 · 17/09/2022 16:30

I cant get through to anyone medical, I just tested out of curiosity and got a positive straight away, is this because the hormone is still in my body or by miracle im still actually pregnant?

Bouncingbeat · 17/09/2022 16:40

@Snowflakes2 just read back through your posts how's your bleeding now? I was convinced it was a chemical at first but the bleeding and cramps seems to have slowed and my partner reckons we are still pregnant. I hope so too but its hard to stay positive. Fingers crossed for both of us. 🤞🏻 🙏🏻

Melusina123 · 17/09/2022 16:57

@Snowflakes2 I think they say to test
a week or so after bleeding stops for a CP and if still posi call GP. With my CP I was negative by then. With my MMC it took 3wks to go negative. Sorry if that's not what you want to hear. :(

Melusina123 · 17/09/2022 17:00

@Bouncingbeat progesterone has been shown to reduce risk of MC among women with 1+ past MCs and bleeding/spotting. It's a bit tricky when you're so early on though because they usually want to scan before they prescribe to make sure the pregnancies is in the right place and lots of EPUs won't scan until 6wks. GPs maaaaay be willing to prescribe based on the NICE guidelines even without a scan but this seems to vary by GP.

In other scenarios (i.e. no past MCs and/or no bleeding) there is no evidence progesterone reduces MC risk, but a lot of women swear by it.

Bouncingbeat · 17/09/2022 17:03

@Melusina123 thanks for the info!

Snowflakes2 · 17/09/2022 17:09

@Bouncingbeat nothing alarming, im not filling a pad but always blood when I wipe.
Fingers crossed for you. I also keep cramping.
@Melusina123 no its fine I do think maybe because the hormone is still there, just its a blatant positive and I havnt passed a big clot yet, im just clutching.

Bouncingbeat · 18/09/2022 11:17

@Snowflakes2 how are you today? I've definitely had a chemical unfortunately.

StarsieZ · 18/09/2022 12:37

I've just got my BFP. Excited and scared, 4th pregnancy, I have 2 'babies' (much older kids) I had my first at 18, I'm 38 now!! Xx

i83 · 18/09/2022 12:54

I’m so sorry to hear about the losses or possible losses 💔
I’ve been there 3 times and I know how worrying and heartbreaking it is.
Please be kind to yourselves and let yourself grieve. It’s very common but that doesn’t mean what you’re going through isn’t important and very sad.
I think it only takes one positive pregnancy test for it to really hurt to lose that future.
Take care of yourselves, sending you lots of love 🤍

isitaline97 · 18/09/2022 14:33

Thankyou for your kind words ladies. @Snowflakes2 I hope your doing okay ❤️
@i83 exactly it feels like we had planned our whole future in the short couple of weeks I knew I was pregnant, it's so hard to have it all taken away 😢. I have a final blood test to confirm the levels are down on Tuesday but still testing quite positive (17 days of bleeding now!) I hope this is normal, we're so eager to start trying again. I have an almost positive OPK as well today but unsure if HCG can affect them? (Although I have to wait for the bleeding to completely stop first!) It's lovely to have a group to chat to about it all 🥰

Snowflakes2 · 18/09/2022 16:14

Thank you all for the lovely words, I will now step away from this thread and huge congratulations to everyone of you and to those who are going through the same, its hard but its not the end.
@Bouncingbeat sorry to hear that 💔 I'm still the same as yesterday, it just feels like a period.

bigbaggyblue · 18/09/2022 16:37

Sorry to hear peoples sad news ❤️

I had my booking in appt yesterday made it all a bit more real. Was disappointed to hear that two of the local birthing units to me are closed for the foreseeable due to staffing issues and may remain closed until 2024!!

bigbaggyblue · 18/09/2022 16:38

This is just me being nosy but seems lots of you work from home, just interested what types of jobs do you do? I'm intrigued and a tad jealous 😂

Have you had a lot of blood or anything heavier ? Don't lose hope I knew i was having miscarriages before as it was without tmi obvious and very heavy. I've also been pregnant, thought I was having a period it was so heavy and didnt find out until 13 weeks. Fingers crossed for you x

Snowflakes2 · 18/09/2022 18:16

@TisforTucan it seems to be tailing off now, last two wees there's been none in the bowl and only a little when wiping. Iv never filled a pad only changing one for hygiene reasons. I had severe back ache and cramps before Friday then on the Friday is when I started bleeding.
This is/was my 3rd pregnancy and never had bleeding with the last 2.
I ordered a clear blue weeks test but a normal line one turned up instead 🙄 will take it tomorrow morning.
And thank you.

Keep positive lovely x I didn't bleed with my other pregnancy but I did with that one and I honestly was so convinced it was a period. My mum when pregnant also bled so much with me they told her she'd lose me. Take care of yourself and rest lots x Fx for you x

may111 · 18/09/2022 20:18

Hello everyone hope it's ok to join. I got my bfp 3 days ago and over the moon. Still feeling very anxious as it's early so would be nice to speak to ladies in the same situation

Gizzy93 · 18/09/2022 20:18

I'm so sorry to read about the losses. I really hope you get your sticky beans soon

Melusina123 · 18/09/2022 20:21

@Snowflakes2 it's so difficult to tell with bleeding. But it sounds to me like it's maybe not really been heavy enough for a MC yet? My experience was that there was definitely a point where I knew that a MC was happening. (Although of course this can vary a lot.) If the bleeding trails off and the tests stay positive I'd definitely agitate for a scan ASAP. Will have fingers crossed to see you back on this thread with some good news sometime soon. 💙

Snowflakes2 · 18/09/2022 21:30

Thank you! The bleeding has practically stopped now, im not getting my hopes up but il see what happens come Tuesday x
