@Electricstar yes my symptoms have come and gone over the 2 weeks since having my first positive test. It is worrying but I think it’s normal. I wonder if we get used to them? Or the hormones fluctuating? I’m not sure but try not to worry (I know that’s easier said than done).

MapleSyrup2112 · 08/09/2022 22:23

@raffika thank you I’ll say this to them tomorrow.

@Singingloudforalltohear thwnks so much!!!

@i83 thank you for your story. I’m crying for you and I’m sooo happy to see this. Did you bleed at all yet just so I know whether mine is normal or not. I just want to be able to sit on the seat and for her to scan me and to see our baby on that ultrasound. I feel like I’m lying at the moment as I’ve not seen it. It’s so strange 😂. I’m so happy for you though xxxx

Sunshine0987 · 08/09/2022 22:38

@i83 so pleased for you, that's amazing that you can see that much already! I'm only a couple of days behind you but not planning on an early scan at the moment so it's weird to think something similar would probably appear for me at this stage.

Looking forward to seeing more scan photos from everyone in the coming weeks 😁

i83 · 08/09/2022 23:13

Thank you so much @MapleSyrup2112 and @Sunshine0987

I’m feeling more positive this time.

@MapleSyrup2112 yes, I had some bleeding this time at about 5+4 so I called my midwife. She said to either call my GP or go to A&E to be referred to EPU. I called my GP who made me go to the surgery for a face to face appointment which wasn’t really necessary as all she said was that she would call EPU and see what they said. I went home and GP called me back and said EPU would see me the next day for a scan.
At the scan, they could just about see a part of a yolk so they agreed to try the progesterone.
I’m 6+3 today which is the furthest I’ve got so perhaps the progesterone is making the difference.

Honestly though, so many people I have spoken to have told me that they had bleeding in the pregnancies. A lady I spoke to today has got 4 grown up children and she had bleeding with every one of them. She said the one, it was like having periods.

I must have spoke to around 30 woman who have children and only one said she didn’t have bleeding with either of her pregnancies and one lady said she just had bleeding with one of her two pregnancies. All of the others had some kind of bleeding, at some point.

I know it’s so scary but try to do whatever you can to stay positive. If you’re positive, there’s a chance it will help. If you’re positive, there’s not a chance it will cause harm or for something bad to happen.

It’s easier said than done though I know.

Singingloudforalltohear · 08/09/2022 23:47

@i83 that’s fantastic news. Congratulations!

Singingloudforalltohear · 08/09/2022 23:49

@MapleSyrup2112 good luck and let us know how you get on.

i have friends who’ve bled and everything turned out fine so don’t give up hope!

Laura993 · 09/09/2022 09:08

Morning

Hope everyone is well!

I’ve got a bit of nausea this morning after my symptoms being easy on me the past couple of days. I’ve also been really emotional about The Queen! I’m blaming my pregnancy hormones 😂

Essexgalhere · 09/09/2022 09:14

@Laura993 I’ve teared up so many times about the queen but I’m putting that down to hormones too as I doubt I would of if not pregnant! So sad though

Snowflakes2 · 09/09/2022 09:26

Just found out I'm pregnant, will I be due May or June?

Charl881 · 09/09/2022 09:28

Morning everyone, had an early scan this morning to rule out ectopic pregnancy. All is fine, one baby, flickering heartbeat, and as expected they dated me about a week earlier than the NHS due date calculator was giving me. So I’m 6w3d pregnant (as opposed to 7w4d!) and due on 2nd May.

Really pleased although I’ll still probably book a private early scan for a couple of weeks time to break up the wait for the 12 week scan.

Melusina123 · 09/09/2022 09:28

@Laura993 @Essexgalhere Suspect there's going to be lots of little baby Elizabeths coming this year.

5+5 today and still feeling a little bit refluxy, slightly upset stomach, quite tired, but overall I could still don't at all feel 'pregnant', it's all quite hypothetical still.

OH trying to lock me in for a trip to Amsterdam in mid-Feb but I just don't feel at all able to commit my future self to things like that - have no idea what state I'll be in!

Melusina123 · 09/09/2022 09:29

@Charl881 great news! Glad the scan went well.

Flowersflowers121 · 09/09/2022 09:36

Awwwh @Charl881 yayyyy. I'm so happy for you! <3 that's meant to be my due date too hehe my scan is next Wednesday and I hope I get good news like you xxx

@Charl881 so pleased your scan went well. What made you think you might have had an ectopic? I’ve woken up with an odd soreness on my right side , have called the doctor and they want to see me this morning with a urine sample ( what would that show?!)

MapleSyrup2112 · 09/09/2022 10:17

@Charl881 I’m so happy that you had good news this morning. Can I just ask whether you were bleeding or had cramping for you think of ectopic pregnancy. As I’m having both and they won’t see me at all at 6w today :(

calipoppy · 09/09/2022 11:20

Thats great @Charl881 we're due date twins! So glad you had a good scan 🥰

Laura993 · 09/09/2022 11:28

@Melusina123 Definitely a rise in the Elizabeth name, it was the name of my grandmother so I’ve always thought of using it as a middle name.

I feel very much the same as you and I am a couple of days behind around 5+2 my symptoms come and go at the moment.

I understand about your trip away because I’d feel the same.

JAM22 · 09/09/2022 13:05

Hi hope it's ok to join, just found out were pregnant with our first, due (on NHS calculator not sure of exact dates) 3rd May and I've just been offered a great new job...which I now have to decide whether to take so a lot going on!
Hope everyone is having a good Friday! X

TheBeesKnee · 09/09/2022 13:30

4+4 today. Feeling very emotional, crying at the BBC news article about disabled children in Ukraine.

DP says I am glowing. I concede my skin looks quite nice!

Charl881 · 09/09/2022 19:03

@MapleSyrup2112 i only had pain on one side, no bleeding. That’s so bad they won’t see you! They said to me they would always rather check out one sided pain.

@calipoppy yay DD twin!

TheBeesKnee · 10/09/2022 13:53

Is anyone buying baby things yet? I saw this and couldn't resist 🙈 there was only one tiny size left so I snapped it up. I think I'm going to have to hide it from DP for the time being.

Is there a 'Due May 2023' thread?
sbear86 · 10/09/2022 13:57

Hi everyone, I got my BFP on Weds and am due 16th May. If all goes well with the pregnancy it will be our first baby. Not letting myself get excited yet as it's such early days! But it will be nice to have people to talk to here about everything. So far we haven't told anybody although I might tell one of my close friends who had a baby last year. I wondered what pregnancy tracking apps everyone is using? There are so many and rather than download them all and compare I thought I would find out what's popular!

EdinburghGirl1 · 10/09/2022 14:17

@TheBeesKnee that is super cute. I got my DP a vest that says I'm watching the football with daddy on it. So cute. I might pick up some bits and pieces but want to find out the sex before getting too much. Just and FYI the tiny baby size is quite small. I had one tiny outfit for my daughter and she grew out of it straight away

arapunzel · 10/09/2022 15:05

@sbear86 congrats, I found Ovia Pregnancy handy for tracking health and appointments, adding scan photos etc.
There’s also a follow on app for after birth that’s good for parenting in the early days

bossgirl94 · 10/09/2022 18:38

Guys I'm a bit worried. I did a test last Friday and it said 2-3 weeks (I was 4+2) and done another today at 5+3 and it still says 2-3 weeks.

It wasn't my FMU or even my second (I literally just took it now) does that make a difference or is this likely a miscarriage/chemical? 🥺
