Thanks @Margo34. I know from previous experience that I need to get out and about and not let myself 'act' like someone who is unwell, but then with pregnancy tiredness and anxiety it's so tempting just to let myself get all cosy in bed and sleep 😂 I'm my own worst enemy.
Anyway, I'm going out with DH and DD today so that's a step in the right direction.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Missgemini · 21/08/2022 10:57

@Suchasmilingsweetheart welcome! So sorry to hear about the loss. How did they deal with the miscarriage, if you don’t mind me asking?
Glad to hear you’re positive again so quickly.

KennAdams · 21/08/2022 11:32

Has anyone else had big increase in headaches? I'm having one every other day, and a couple of migraines. 😑😑

Lapin387 · 21/08/2022 11:35

I had early scans with number 1 and an nhs one with number 2 as I had no period to date from. This time I just can’t justify the money. I stupidly sold the cot etc after number 2 so have a lot to buy again, and can’t help but think of what I could use the money for for my current children. I am much more relaxed this time round anyway. I suppose I’ll have to tell work as I suspect the nature of my work is going to make me feel very sick.

Wouldloveanother · 21/08/2022 11:53

Not even lunchtime and I’m already reaching for the Fanta 🍊

I could live off the stuff at the moment! Fanta, fizzy sweets and chips 🍟

Suchasmilingsweetheart · 21/08/2022 12:50

@Missgemini I was booked for a rescan under the NHS but I started bleeding a few days later and just dealt with it all at home. Was a horrible experience. I hope all is OK this time around 🤞

Missgemini · 21/08/2022 13:25

@Suchasmilingsweetheart so sorry to hear that. I hope we all make it healthily to April :)

AliceinSlumberland · 21/08/2022 14:24

@Wouldloveanother it’s the Fanta for me too, already had one bottle 😂 trying to drink orange squash instead but it just doesn’t hit the spot.

I had absolutely no symptoms this morning, my boobs weren’t even sore. Got myself into a tizzy even though I KNOW they come and go. Anyway, I feel really rough this afternoon so that’ll teach me not to moan that I feel fine!

Tropicana1 · 21/08/2022 14:38

@AliceinSlumberland ah were almost twins I'm 5+1 today, also pretty low on the symptoms - very tired and sense of smell definitely increasing, I can smell the kitchen bin whenever I enter the room 😂 last time had awful nausea but can't remember when it kicked in. Nothing really going on in the boob department and they were huge last time!

How nice you had a lovely share with your parents and got to feel some of that excitement 🥰

@Wisher88 if you have your maiden name then with the nhs that's usually what you'll be down as for all your maternity appointments and I think what they will default hospital bracelet your little one "baby Wisher88" on the bracelet

@Suchasmilingsweetheart that's lovely congratulations 🥰 how quickly after your miscarriage were your pregnancy tests negative again if you don't mind me asking? I know that in some cases that can really drag on, so it's lovely for you that you've been able to conceive again so quickly! Fingers crossed for a healthy happy pregnancy!

Suchasmilingsweetheart · 21/08/2022 14:42

@Tropicana1 actually fairly quickly, I think I had first negative test after gradually getting fainter at around the 1 week after mark! Thankyou for the well wishes 🥰

Marshmallowmountain · 21/08/2022 16:11

Has anyone got restless legs? Driving me mad!

Wisher88 · 21/08/2022 16:41

@hotelp remember you can always "find an itch" if you look for it so keep this in mind - the more we focus on looking for something we will zoom in on it like a magnifying glass and the symptoms will become more apparent to us! Your anxiety is always going to get a bit heightened when you're pregnant because your brain is geared to look for danger as you're more vulnerable (hence our senses become more pronounced when you're pregnant) ❤️ if you know that you've really struggled in the past with health anxiety then definitely get in touch with your local talking therapies - you're prioritised when you're pregnant so they have to see you within a couple of weeks! Hope you feel better soon xxx

Skylark1990 · 21/08/2022 17:18

Hey guys, hope all having a nice weekend ☺️
@hotelp sorry to hear you've been having anxiety, I hope you feel better soon. Is it that you're worried the symptoms you're having a worse than they should be? @Wisher88 thanks for the tip about the talk therapies that's useful to know.

I can't remember who posted about it originally but re fluctuating symptoms I've also had this a bit. Although feeling ruuuuubbish this afternoon. So so tired and nauseous. Had to have a nap and have spent the afternoon on the sofa watching Borgen - lucky DH has taken DD out a couple times. Also feeling quite emotional as today was the day in my last pregnancy where it was confirmed I'd passed the baby (6+4) so just had a lot of memories swimming around the last few days. But so far so good this time 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🌈🌈🌈🌈

@Suchasmilingsweetheart welcome and sorry to hear of your previous loss. 💔😥 Congratulations on being pregnant again. I'm also pregnant straight after a previous MC. They will probably give you an earlier scan to date you, if you want one. Any idea when you ovulated?

Re snacks - what is a good thing to constantly eat?? I eat something then the thought of having it again doesn't appeal, and I'm worried about constantly eating crisps... What's a good nausea stopping food? 😬😬😬

DBS94 · 21/08/2022 17:43

@Skylark1990 I've been feeling the same about snacks and my stomach is turning at the thought of some foods that I used to love. Most meat is making me feel sick especially red meat 🤢 I went to Tesco today and got some plain digestives, sweet and salty popcorn dunkers and also grapes oh and some custard pots! I just thought a mixture of small things might help. I've also got a pack of ginger nuts that I carry about in my bag!! 🤣 little and often is definitely how my body is dealing with things atm when it comes to eating x

AliceinSlumberland · 21/08/2022 17:49

I am lovvvvving grapes at the minute, ate a whole punnet yesterday.

This is a bit of a sensitive question and I don’t mean this in any way other than how I feel about my own body at the minute, but does anyone else just feel really fat and gross at this early stage? I’m really really hoping that it’s just bloating and it’ll go back down again but I’m worried that I’ve been too free and easy with my eating and gained loads already. I don’t think I have and I exercise still but I feel like my jeans dig in and feel so uncomfortable. Someone reassure me it’s bloating 😂 I lost two stone last year and I do worry a bit about how hard it was to do that with having PCOS and I want to make sure I’m keeping healthy and not getting carried away because I know what I’m like 😂

@AliceinSlumberland yes yes yes!! I know exactly what you mean & feel the same. I am soooo bloated at the moment and feel like it's not really my body if that makes sense? I'm trying to get used to it because it's only going to get bigger but I'm looking it as a positive and am feeling happy my body has carried this far ❤️ also my boobs are sooooo sensitive and really swollen. I'm a flat chested gal so it's strange seeing a full bra for once 🤣

GlobetrottingPercy · 21/08/2022 18:28

Yes, 100% this! I am noticeably bigger and can’t do my jeans up - the amount of rubbish I’m troughing through really isn’t helping. This is the complete opposite to when I was pregnant with DS, I feel like I’ve put all of the total weight from my first pregnancy on already (obviously I’m just joking but it does feel like it!).

Does anyone here do spin? I religiously went twice / three times a week before DS, then lockdown hit and I got lazy and my spin bike remains untouched and my gym membership long cancelled. I need to exercise and want to get back into it but I’ll be coming in as a pregnant beginner again and so any tips would be greatly received.

PuddingBear · 21/08/2022 18:50

Welcome! 😊 I used the NHS due date calculator but you do need to know the day of your last period. If you don't have exact dates, they'll figure it out at the dating scan, I'm sure.

@B1993 Thanks! I tracked the day it ended just not the day it started 😅

Skylark1990 · 21/08/2022 18:57

@DBS94 that all sounds yummy! Haha I am loving grapes too and strawberries ATM and went to Tesco on Fri and got a similar bunch of stuff but I have gone off most of what I bought already! But yes even if I don't feel like eating the thing when I do it helps so defo need to just keep snacking. I'm still eating fairly big meals at meal time ATM but imagine that will change if the nausea gets worse ...

@ActualMermaid

Skylark1990 · 21/08/2022 19:00

@ActualMermaid sorry that was an accidental tag!

@AliceinSlumberland yes definitely this. I feel really big ATM, loads of my undies feel too tight. I haven't put on jeans since I found out I was pregnant 😂 living in leggings or PJ bottoms or loose dresses. But yes I feel like I've put on weight. Trying to think of it as a positive that it's good to have a bit of weight on, and will just get turned into milk when Breastfeeding anyway ☺️ but I basically put nothing on with DD, although I may have done at the beginning then lost it with the spewing and later hardly being able to eat due to terrible heartburn so not sure, might still turn out that way I guess . But yes despite feeling a bit yucky and sick etc we have to be so proud of our bodies and it's all part of the process

Matildahoney · 21/08/2022 19:20

I feel like the size of a house! Jeans don't fit, boobs have got bigger so dresses are tight, don't want to buy things because they're not going to fit for long! 8+1 today and the nausea has really kicked in, so today has consisted mostly of plain white carbs! Going to try to get a smoothie in shortly, but been exhausted and slept a lot! Trying to stay awake until a decent time so I can go to bed!

Tubbytele · 21/08/2022 19:56

@Marshmallowmountain I have restless legs! So annoying isn't it? It happens before I try to sleep and takes me a long while to feel comfortable and fall asleep. I think I need to get back to sleeping with my pregnancy pillow this early!

AliceinSlumberland · 21/08/2022 19:57

Guys, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your reassurance. I know that our bodies are amazing and it’s all just part of the process but I can’t help but feel massive and worried that I’m going to gain loads! I’m sure it’ll even out over time!

Marshmallowmountain · 21/08/2022 20:19

@Tubbytele i keep getting woken up by it too and then of course I can’t get back to sleep 😂

Leanne053 · 21/08/2022 21:27

Hello! I've just found out I'm pregnant today, did a first response test and instantly showed pregnant but still went to the chemist and did a clear blue digital to double check 😀😀 I can't tell you how happy I am. This will be my first baby! Due date on the app I have is 25th April! Eeeeeek!!!!
