@Cats23 I know its hard to not think different but i was the same im currently on day 4 in hosp with my HG and i didnt eat 1 thing for 5 days and all you can think is how possibly baby can be getting what they need? They have reassured me many times baby will get what they need and not to worry. I havent cooked a hot meal in 5 weeks i havent eaten a hot meal in longer! I have been trying to eat salad and sandwhiches in hospital just do what makes you feel ok!

Babynum2 · 18/08/2022 05:54

@Cats23 also forgot to say thats why i told my kids they are 3 and 9 but i explained things can change. I was so sick and my older one was starting to worry plus i needed her help when DP wasnt around with her little brother also told my parents and bestfriend at 6 weeks so they could help and have the kids sometimes for me.

11 weeks today! Who else is on count down till their 12 week scan? 🤭

If your finding out the sex of your baby, are you waiting until your 20 week NHS one or are you booking a private gender scan?

Hope everyone is keeping well 🙏

Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels · 18/08/2022 07:49

@allthingssparkly eek that's exciting! I'm only 9 weeks so a while to wait yet but I have a private scan on Sunday 🎉

I am seriously struggling with sickness and nausea. Making life hard work, especially with a toddler! I'm on cyclizine but I dont think it's doing much as I'm still throwing up a couple of times a day

I'm 11 weeks today also, my booking appointment and scan if tomorrow. All being well we will do a private scan at 16 weeks for gender.

TeddyBeans · 18/08/2022 08:15

Scan date today! I'm a bag of nerves and slept terribly. I managed to get the time completely wrong (right day though luckily) got to wait until 12.10, not 11 like I'd originally thought

@Hopingforarainbow27 wow amazing scan look at babies hand!!
@TeddyBeans good luck for your scan I was the same yesterday I'd been up all night!! 🙏

hol92 · 18/08/2022 12:03

That scan looks amazing 🥰

I just got my letter mine isn’t until 16th September I will be 13 weeks feels like soooo long away so have booked a private scan for Monday :) I’m just over 8 weeks but my nausea definitely feels different, before I could barely eat through feeling sick and now I’m constantly hungry and if I don’t eat I feel nauseous, don’t know if I should worry as everyone says it’s should peek around now where as mine has subsided :/ xx

muminlndn · 18/08/2022 12:12

@hol92 mine subsided too, around 6-8 weeks was the worst. I felt very nauseous again the day I turned 9 weeks and was sick for the first time, but hasn't been worse since then. It just fluctuates and is worse if I'm tired or don't eat regularly!

Each time I need a snack or meal I try to have something sugary like juice or biscuits plus something carby like pasta or bread so I get my sugars back up quick, and then the carbs sustain it for longer. Brown or wholemeal is best for stable sugar levels but who really eats brown pasta 😆

hol92 · 18/08/2022 12:18

@muminlndn that makes me feel a bit better thank you for your reply:)

it’s just so strange the day I hit 8 weeks I am able to eat again, same as you as soon as I feel sick I eat and it stops for a little while, but before these 8 weeks from about 6 weeks I physically felt like I couldn’t eat without feeling like I was going to be sick (I was never actually sick though)

I don’t know why I’m so worried that I can eat again haha and the nausea isn’t as bad as before so in my mind something has gone wrong!

thank you x

Babynumberthreeee · 18/08/2022 14:18

My sickness has all of a sudden subsided as well. I remember with my son the sickness was at its worst 6-8 weeks. The worst thing is I can only eat bland carbs. Will be the size of a house by the time this baby is born 🙈

Jealous of everyones scans. Mine isn't until the 12th September when I'll be 12 weeks, obviously due at the end of March like some others.

Would love to book a private scan but have no childcare and don't want the eldest knowing yet! So the earliest I could get a scan is the 5th September when school goes back which seems pointless with 1 more the week after 🤣

My nhs scan is the 12th too but I will be almost 14 weeks then 😭

NixieDust · 18/08/2022 16:05

I’m 11 weeks today as well!
Cant wait for my 12 weeks scan!
I think I’ll wait until the 20 week to find out the gender although I’m so eager to know hehe

Hopingforarainbow27 · 18/08/2022 16:48

Thanks girls. I got my booking appt for 24th! So that's good! I'll be 12 weeks 3 days!
My symptoms come and go as well, it's hard not to worry but everything was fine at my scan last night!

alotoftutus · 18/08/2022 16:51

I'm 9+3 and haven't felt as sick this week either - still ridiculously exhausted though.

Got my scan appointment through this morning. I will be 11+2. Earlier than I thought it would be but I'm excited I don't have to wait too much longer and can finally tell the my other kiddies

Bobduncan · 18/08/2022 17:09

In terms of telling people, are you all going to wait for the results of the 12 week blood tests or does the scan give you a pretty good indication if there's anything to worry about? 🤔

TeddyBeans · 18/08/2022 17:33

@Bobduncan my nuchal measurement was 1.8mm today which is well in the 1.1-3mm range of normal (according to Google). I'm confident there's nothing untoward going on and have told my tiny human this evening that he's going to be a big brother ❤️ he can't keep a secret for shit so I'll have to talk to DP later about letting the world know before tiny human spills the beans for us

TeddyBeans · 18/08/2022 17:38

Not the clearest scans because of my BMI but tiny was very well behaved and had a good wriggle when I shook them awake 😅 measuring 2 days ahead at 12+4 so official due date is 26/2

Dreamingof3 · 18/08/2022 19:32

Ahh lovely scan @TeddyBeans

I don't have a date for my scan yet, first midwife appointment is Saturday so hopefully they'll let me know the process then (different area to my other pregnancies)
My sickness is getting worse, I'm needing to take my cyclizine twice a day now instead of once 😪

Mrs2022 · 18/08/2022 21:02

@TeddyBeans lovely scan! All the scans coming through are getting me excited for mine on 6th september. I also haven't told my kids either. My five year old will be so excited to tell everybody and will be hoping for a sister to even the score with two brothers lol.

Mines also booked for 6th September!
Feels like I've been waiting forever! Not too long to go!

Love seeing everyone's scan pics especially when you can see the hands etc! But just as special even if less clear ❤

I don't have other children but I do look after plenty, can definitely say I'm exhausted after a day with the under 2s at work today!! Normally with preschoolers who are a bit less needy! 😆

Choc2022 · 18/08/2022 22:42

I am 6th Sept also :)

TeddyBeans · 18/08/2022 23:03

@AK93 we do the same job. Mines a term time preschool and this six week holiday has been a godsend. I bow down to you, especially in the recent heat

Hi looking for advice came across this and wondering if anybody has experienced anything similar as i am going out of my mind … I lost a baby at 18 weeks earlier this year and found out i was pregnant (1-2 weeks)last week again. I experienced bleeding (red) from Sunday to Wednesday it wasn’t as heavy as a period but not as light as spotting either. I have a scan booked in on the 30th but knowing nothing to then and if i am even still pregnant is knocking me insane. Spoke to EPAS and they said bleeding can happen to call if there was pain or it was heavier. I didn’t have any pain and it didn’t get heavier and the bleeding has stopped. I am so confused and worried 😐 Any advice would be welcomed
