@Choc2022 As far as I remember I've always had blood results in the post. I imagine if there was something wrong they would call you though.

Choc2022 · 17/08/2022 00:13

Thank you, thats very helpful :)

Babynum2 · 17/08/2022 05:09

@Choc2022 usually dont call unless something flags up, I have badger notes not paper notes its on an app and all my results get uploaded there. They are good you can see everything even if ive had my obs done while in hospital and you can write to your midwife.

Just me awake at 5am in the hosp cant sleep my infusion machine keeps bleeping every 10 mins.

@Perexi i know Nike do maternity wear.

The others I've found out about are Latched and Natal Active.

Sports bras are ok at the moment I'm in panache underwired. My normal bras are worse! However ran a 5 mile the other week and one boob hurt! For sports bras I really rate booboo who are online but do fitting virtually and by photos

Oh wow!!! That's a lot of twins lol

I'm convinced I'm having twins. I conceived twins in my second pregnancy in 2013 but lost one so I know I make them. This time it's so strange, every time I think of this baby or talk about it to my husband I say they, or them, babies etc sub consciously. I had a panic the other day that we would have to buy a new dinning table because it won't fit 2 more babies around it. My husband looked at me like I was mad lol. I've also had multiple dreams that I'm having twins. I just don't feel like there's 1 & I can't put my finger on why considering I'm basing it on absolutely nothing at all 🤷🏽‍♀️

If I have my scan and it's twins I'm going to start doing the lottery because clearly I have some kind of psychic ability I didn't know about - plus with twins I'm going to need a few million pound lol.

I have to admit I was relieved because of the cost and bedroom situation!

Had a transvaginal scan yesterday, it wasn't painful until they looked at my ovaries. Then started to be a bit sore in the evening but then I have had pain all night, is this normal?

I'm pregnant so not sure whether to contact midwife or if I am overreacting. I know its from the scan because it hurts exactly where the pain was when they looked at my ovaries! No blood or anything.

Did a thread but thought might get better replies here 💜

@hellosunshineagainx TV scans can be sore, they have to wriggle the wand around to get good pictures. When I had my TV scan, observing my right ovary was much more uncomfortable than the left. It ached for a bit after but didn't cause any lasting pain.

If you haven't had any bleeding and the scan showed all was well, you might have a little bit of internal bruising but I wouldn't think there was anything more sinister to worry about

Funnily enough I also had a break from the nausea around 8 weeks (last week). It came back the day I turned 9 weeks and I was sick for the first time this pregnancy (gagged from brushing my teeth and couldn't hold it back!).
That was a couple of days ago and it's not got worse thankfully. 10 weeks is meant to be the HCG peak so fingers crossed I'm nearly over the hormone/nausea hump fingers crossed

Its interesting as I had one a few years back and don't remember it being painful after but you're right that's what it feels like, bruised

TeddyBeans · 17/08/2022 09:48

Last time I had a TV scan at 12 weeks as the sonographer couldn't see everything she needed to see. That one didn't hurt at all either. Weird isn't it?

@Rainbowbaby23 sorry I noticed your Belfast! So am I, I'm 12 weeks on Monday and still no letter for a scan or anything. I phoned last week and they said you can have your booking appt up to 14 weeks but the thought of waiting that long is so hard. How many weeks are you?

Hopingforarainbow27 · 17/08/2022 11:26

@Rainbowbaby23 I should of said I've been seen twice at the epu, the last one being at 10 weeks, they said I could go back to them at 12 weeks if the booking scan is later than this but to be honest I find it very triggering going in there so I was hoping my next one would be in a different place and an abdominal scan. Not sure whether to book window to the womb in Lisburn, Incase I do get my appt letter in and it's within a week of the private scan!

Rainbowbaby23 · 17/08/2022 13:20

@Hopingforarainbow27 what hospital are you booking at if you dont mind saying? Could pm if you want. Im 10 weeks today but should still have an appointment for 12 weeks

Hopingforarainbow27 · 17/08/2022 13:27

The royal. How do you pm on here? 🙆🏼‍♀️

Eastybaby19 · 17/08/2022 13:34

Hi everyone had my 12 week scan & booking appointment today (Also Northern Ireland) so they do both on the same day!
Baby is healthy and measuring 11+4 weeks which is a day more than I thought and estimated due date 4th of March. So relived but still so sick the nausea has gotten worse this last week or 2 and also being sick 🙈

Due March 2023 - thread 2
Hopingforarainbow27 · 17/08/2022 13:37

@Eastybaby19 aw lovely! I'm 11+2 and my nausea has started again this past week!
What hosp are you being seen in? I've still no appt letter!

Eastybaby19 · 17/08/2022 13:43

@Hopingforarainbow27 I'm with Craigavon hospital this time! I was with the Lagan valley then moved to the ulster for my son due to being high risk but have moved since last time and craigavon is closer. Who are you wjth?
I would give them a ring or even your GP & see what they say! So frustrating & Craigavon was sooooo busy this morning 🤦‍♀️

Hopingforarainbow27 · 17/08/2022 13:48

@Eastybaby19 ah right ok! I'm with the Royal, apparently there is a backlog. The girl said my appt could be at 14 weeks but it just seems so far away especially with what I've been through previously!

Hopingforarainbow27 · 17/08/2022 13:49

@Eastybaby19 I'm actually closer to Craigavon but had been seen at the royal for my miscarriages so just wanted to go back there because they know me there!

BlondePotter · 17/08/2022 14:31

@Eastybaby19 aw lovely 😊 I'm looking forward to seeing all the scans come through! Mine is Tuesday
My bruise has only just disappeared from my booking appt 2 weeks ago... So I'm not looking forward to bloods again next week

Eastybaby19 · 17/08/2022 14:46

@Hopingforarainbow27 that really frustrating hopefully you get it really soon 🤞I got my letter when I was about 7 weeks ish I think! A girl in my work got her letter yesterday and scan is next week so maybe that will be like you 🤞

Eastybaby19 · 17/08/2022 14:48

@BlondePotter good luck for yours! My bloods were very easy this morning surprisingly! I've another appt next week with consultant as I'll be consultant led again. I asked when so I could let work know and they said they'll send a letter 🤦‍♀️ dosnt really give much notice 🤷‍♀️

Hopingforarainbow27 · 17/08/2022 14:55

@Rainbowbaby23 was your private scan internal or abdominal? There's an appt tonight I'm thinking of booking!

GreenIsle · 17/08/2022 15:11

I'm Northern Ireland also, I had a private scan in Belfast last week at 9+6 it was an abdominal scan but only because I booked a short appointment, they are usually internal if under 10/11 weeks or something.

I'm a bit worried I had some spotting yesterday which has gone today, so have barely slept with the worry but I have my scan and booking appointment on Friday afternoon so praying it's all ok.
