@hol92 I feel the exact same today! I havent generally been feeling sick, more just crazy fatigue. Today i woke up and just feel very different. Luckily I have an early scan booked this evening (I'm 8 w +2). I think it's totally normal for symptoms to come and go xx

EasterBunny7 · 16/08/2022 08:40

@alotoftutus this is my worry too hence asking about if people are showing already because I have put on three pounds in ten days alone and I should put on one to four pounds max in the first trimester. It seems to have gone straight to my belly but people have been telling me that's most likely bloat in that area rather than a baby belly.

TeddyBeans · 16/08/2022 10:50

Sat in the family centre having had my pre glucose blood test. Now gotta wait 2 hours before I can have the second blood test to see if I have GD. Had two tests last time I was pregnant so expected it but it's still shit. DS is having a playdate though so at least he's not here bored too

Good luck @TeddyBeans

My nausea has moved on to actually being sick which I thought I had maybe got away without 🤣

Good luck and I hope the wait isn't too boring!! How far gone are you? Is it Glucose tolerance test? I didn't think they did those tests till a bit later on but I've been told I'll need them due to my weight/bmi xx

Dreamingof3 · 16/08/2022 12:22

@TeddyBeans good luck! I had gd in my last pregnancy and the tests are no fun at all! Not looking forward to it again!

Joining in if that's OK, due baby #3 in March, I'm around 9 weeks (officially, but I think a few days behind due to late ovulation) and I have my first midwife appointment on Saturday followed by a private scan!

Choc2022 · 16/08/2022 13:41

hugs to everyone who has nausea sickness.

I felt waves in the past few days but I've had diahorrea for weeks. As soon as I eat (sorry for the tmi) so I wonder if thats why im not so nauseus?

My booking app letter and scan letter and dr app letter all came together. I have high BMI and previous abdo surgery and this is first pregnancy so think im more high risk which I was suprised about. Been feeling SO SO exhausted and out of breath.

Its all going so slow for me. I randomly take preg test once a week - I think for my own reassurance.

12 weeks exactly but I have high BMI so they do two. The drink is nicer than the one I had 4 years ago though so there's a small bonus

@Choc2022 i kept taking pregnancy tests for exactly the same reason, until DH told me my habit was getting too expensive 😂

TeddyBeans · 16/08/2022 17:12

@Dreamingof3 thanks and congratulations to you 🥳

@TeddyBeans I've never heard of a gtt this early. I've got one at 26 weeks due to my BMI, had one last time too.

I feel so sick still. I've got cyclizine to take but not sure it's doing much. It's only been a day though so probably need to give it a chance!

hellosunshineagainx · 16/08/2022 18:03

Paid for a private scan as really anxious this time round and my scan isn't until Im 14 weeks. Dated me at 9w2d so a couple days ahead of the midwife and just the one baby! (Im a twin and have twin sisters and twin cousins and as it is my second pregnancy and I am in my 30s know I was concerned 🤣)

It might be down to family history as well as high BMI. I didn't really ask, I had the same last time so was expecting it. I just do as I'm told 😁

I've had my booking appointment through today and it's over the phone for next monday. For my booking appointment 4 months ago (which ended up being a MC so didnt end up having it), it was in person. I thought they took bloods, weight, blood pressure etc? Anyone else have their appointment on the phone?

Mine was by phone two weeks ago and then I have a separate appointment tomorrow for bloods etc. bit annoying and means having childcare twice which is really difficult as just me and my husband but that's the state of nhs atm I think

I am sooooo tired! Plan was to go for a run after work but can't even manage a walk and had a nap instead. Pleased tea is nice and easy as can't face actually making anything. Intentions of being healthy and active are there but I feel rubbish!

Same! I'm normally a regular at a bootcamp class around our local park a few times a week and run or swim other day's..... I promised myself I would be as active as I could be but it's just not possible for me right now!

JB2021 · 16/08/2022 20:22

@Perexi pleased it's not just me. I couldn't even face a walk. Always said I'd remain as active as I could even if my pace was slower. Im working from home do my steps are shocking anyway so like to get out after work. Wanted to drag myself tonight but decided I'd feel worse if I did go out, so an easy tea and a night on the sofa. Feel so lazy.

Any tips on maternity sportswear?

hol92 · 16/08/2022 20:24

So glad some people are saying there nausea comes and goes too, I’m freaking out because I’ve just been able to eat a full meal for the first time in weeks, my husband doesn’t understand why I’m so worried that I don’t feel sick today he thinks it’s great that I have eaten where as my anxiety is so bad right now :( I had my booking appt today and told my midwife it was worrying me and she didn’t seem to bother x

I had mine over the phone last week for all history and form filling info, then a short appointment this week to collect notes, blood pressure and bmi as well as a urine sample.
They told me my bloods will be along with my 12 week scan, which I'm waiting to receive an appointment for through the post

Apparently easier in the second trimester as get energy back but my GP already said thing's like press-ups, Burpees etc what my classes involve isn't recommend then which is why I was hoping to power through but I'm just trying to listen to what my body needs.

No idea on maternity sports wear but would definitely be interested too as I'm already finding the sports bras an issue!

Choc2022 · 16/08/2022 23:20

The blood they take at booking appointment - do they call about the results or is the assumption if no contact then all is well?

My booking appointment was in person and midwife took a personal call midway

alotoftutus · 16/08/2022 23:36

Oh wow!!! That's a lot of twins lol

I'm convinced I'm having twins. I conceived twins in my second pregnancy in 2013 but lost one so I know I make them. This time it's so strange, every time I think of this baby or talk about it to my husband I say they, or them, babies etc sub consciously. I had a panic the other day that we would have to buy a new dinning table because it won't fit 2 more babies around it. My husband looked at me like I was mad lol. I've also had multiple dreams that I'm having twins. I just don't feel like there's 1 & I can't put my finger on why considering I'm basing it on absolutely nothing at all 🤷🏽‍♀️

If I have my scan and it's twins I'm going to start doing the lottery because clearly I have some kind of psychic ability I didn't know about - plus with twins I'm going to need a few million pound lol.
