@Markygirl1995 I had brown blood for a few days after my internal scan, i called the midwife advice line in a panic but they said it can be a consequence of the internal scan disrupting old blood at the cervix. It stopped within a few days but the told me to call back if it got more intense, or red in colour (which it didn't!). Sounds like it could just be the scan for you too! , so try not to worry but calling EPU might give you more peace of mind 🤞❤️

hol92 · 08/08/2022 06:42

@Katlouise24 so weird isn’t it! Eating is the only thing that makes it better for a little while so I keep needing to eat.. but eating makes me gag🤷‍♀️😂🙈

Any experienced heat palpitations during these early stages? I know they are common later on but i seem to be getting them and its a bit worrying lol will definitely bring it up to my midwife

Hi @Rainbowbaby23 I've been getting these too, never experienced it with my other three and have been getting it from before I found it, I had just put it down to the weather but it's still ongoing at 7+4 weeks. Can't wait for the weather to change and cool down a bit hoping it will help lol

Babynum2 · 08/08/2022 07:37

Im the opposite of those that said toilet problems im extremley constipated and get a belly ache with wind. Not really sure if you can take anything when pregnant either.

allthingssparkly · 08/08/2022 08:01

Hi Ladies!

How are you all doing? I'm 9w3d today 😊 Had a scan at EPU on Saturday and all is looking really well with baby. I have my 12 week scan at the end of this month 🤍

The nausea and tiredness has been hitting me hard these past few days, hoping it subsides 🤞

Noodle20 · 08/08/2022 08:12

@Babynum2 I'm with you on this, I'm not sure we can take anything either. I'm trying to eat more fibre but due to nausea I'm just trying to eat more in general. I didn't experience this before so it's a new one on me

Splashh · 08/08/2022 08:15

@Rainbowbaby23 @Mrs2022 could be anxiety, for me when this happens it's my thyroid going overactive, so maybe get that checked too?

@allthingssparkly congratulations!

havanamama · 08/08/2022 09:38

I’m 9+3 too today
the acupuncture bands, chewing gum, and ginger tea do wonders for nausea!

for fatigue sadly I don’t have any tips apart from taking it easy and laying down a lot. I hope it passes in 2nd trimester

Kayleehawkes · 08/08/2022 11:29

@havanamama also 9+3 today, I looked at acupuncture bands yesterday in boots does it honestly help as need to try something. At present constantly having to eat to keep the nausea at bay

havanamama · 08/08/2022 11:33

@Kayleehawkes obviously I can’t tell if it’s placebo or actually work, but I’m less nauseous when wearing them.

they are very cheap in One Below, Amazon, etc

LittleAcorn20 · 08/08/2022 12:10

@Noodle20 @Babynum2 me too.
Lactulose is fine. I was told this in my last pregnancy and have been taking it this time too. Can get it just from normal meds aisle in supermarkets no need for pharmacy or anything. The tummy ache is so painful from it isn't it 😩

@botbump i ordered those jeans from ASOS should arrive this week. On Saturday I bought some jeggings from poundland for £7, for a 14 so probably a sizer bigger than normal. Not sure they will grow with me but to wear something that looks like jeans feels fab. And at that price I can wear to death! They did have some others that were 2 pairs for £5 but looked cheap. The £7 ones don't

Great! Hope you love them as much as I do!

Oooh, I might check out the Poundland option! Good to have something I can lounge around the house in as my leggings are getting a bit uncomfortable too.
I did pick up a maternity pair from H&M with a sort of roll over waistband, but the band is a bit warm when folded over and tucked in to my bra when rolled up! Grin

Katlouise24 · 08/08/2022 16:16

Had an early scan today. Baby was measuring to the exact date 9 weeks 0 days! Heartbeat was also very good.

In the second photo we think baby looks like a little gummy bear!

For those of you that have mentioned constipation, I spoke to the midwife about it this morning as I have it quite at the moment and she said 10mil of lactulose in the morning and evening until you get relief then you may find you’ll have to take it weekly/biweekly to keep things moving! I’ve also found prune juice works wonders

Nobody will be able to see I've joined right? Might get a very excited call from my mum otherwise

hol92 · 08/08/2022 17:00

Hi all has anyone else had a UTI while pregnant? I have to go pick up a course of antibiotics now but have never actually been on them before! I don’t know why I have anxiety about it, well at least I know what the strange stinging pains in my bladder area were now xx

mummyofrb · 08/08/2022 17:17

@hol92 oh hun glad to see you on here I was wondering how you got on the other day after the spotting? Xx

hol92 · 08/08/2022 17:21

@mummyofrb well I haven’t had any more, I contacted my midwife who didn’t get back to me for 3 days, I contacted the dr and they said as it was such a small amount that unless I get any more or have bad pains then not to worry but when I mentioned the stinging pains they got me to do a test for a UTI which I do have, but am nervous about taking the antibiotics xxx
i have an early scan booked next week at 8 weeks, I’m so nervous already xxx

mummyofrb · 08/08/2022 17:26

@hol92 I bet it was that irritating things which has caused the bleeding, I'd take the anti biotics they wouldn't prescribe them if they were unsafe. it's so nerve wracking going for the first scan isn't it!! I went for mine the other week just wish money was endless and I could have one every week to calm my nerves🤣 try not to worry xxx
