Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

(just to clarify, I meant fingers crossed for us all that we won't miscarry, not that I'm not keeping fingers crossed for all of us😂)

Wouldloveanother · 11/08/2022 08:55

Just tested with FMU and clear blue weeks indicator is still 2-3 ☹️ 22dpo now so would expect 3+. Got 2-3 at 14dpo so it hasn’t changed since then. Bloody things!

Hi everyone hope you are all well!
Just wondering if anyone has found anything that actually works to help the sickness?
Past two mornings I'm struggling to even move out of bed in the morning without being sick and I'm feeling so so guilty that DD is having to fend for herself for a bit while I'm hugging the toilet 🤢 never had this first time round so it's all new to me.

Oh blymie, I was feeling sorry for myself but that sounds really bad! How far along are you?

Think I am going to get some travel sickness wrist bands to try today.

Also have a horrendous metallic taste in my mouth, not sure if that's from the nausea or a separate entity. Confused

faithtrustandpixiedust · 11/08/2022 09:03

Thankyou @mummatara I've just ordered some anything is worth a go

faithtrustandpixiedust · 11/08/2022 09:04

@hotelp I'm 6+1 today, I've had nausea for the past couple of weeks but the sickness now doesn't look like it's going anywhere. I've just ordered some of the bands to try too

J1290 · 11/08/2022 09:10

Sounds like everyone sickness is around 6 weeks

Emeal123 · 11/08/2022 09:15

4 + 5 today and got some low stomach cramping a bit like pms, I know it’s normal but hard not to get anxious isn’t it! Last did a frer on Monday then did digital cb on Tuesday, going to do another frer today to see if the line has got darker.

hope everyone is feeling ok today! Xx

Hey all. Just wondering if anyone else has has intermittent tended / dull / pulsing like pain on one of their sides near ovaries? I get this every now and then on my right side. It's like a dull / tender pain that pulses every few seconds for a minute or two then it goes away. Some days I don't have it at all, some days it comes every few hours. I've also had cramps etc low down in the centre so hoping that's the embryo burrowing into the womb but slightly worried about this right side pain! Think I ovulated from that side so maybe it's the curious luteum .. but wondering if anyone has similar? X

Skylark1990 · 11/08/2022 10:15

@faithtrustandpixiedust poor you! Horrible isn't it. I hope it eases soon. With DD I had if bad and I did found having something plain like salty crackers to eat as soon as I woke up good. And just keep your stomach lined with plain food as much as you can. I tried b6 but worried about taking too high a dose but people say it helps. But ultimately nothing really helped that much 😩, for me it was worse in evenings so I tended to just go to bed early ❤️🫶 sending anti nausea vibes!! At least you know you've got lots of hormones x

41andtryingforfirst · 11/08/2022 10:19

@Skylark1990 I get this intermittently and I get it on both sides. I know I ovulated from the right as they saw it on the scan but get twinges both sides x

I’ve been having period like cramping all around the bottom of my belly intermittently, I’ve read it’s quite normal. Also had the odd twinges from both sides. If you’re concerned I would just phone the doctors or EPU to put your mind at rest .

belephant · 11/08/2022 10:32

@Skylark1990 I agree with others that it's best to have it checked, just in case. But to ease the anxiety, I had something similar for all of the first trimester with my first baby and I've started getting aches the last few days this time around! X

faithtrustandpixiedust · 11/08/2022 10:34

Thanks @Skylark1990 I will give the crackers a go, I've managed to keep some plain toast and an ice pop down so that seems to be helping. How long did yours last with DD?

Sunnyxo · 11/08/2022 10:47

Hey @Skylark1990 i had the same too on the right side more frequent and sometimes the left, I had my corpus luteum scanned Tuesday and all was okay, so think the pains are normal xx

Orangesaretheonly · 11/08/2022 11:10

Banderbear · 11/08/2022 08:30

@Orangesaretheonly I’ve been obsessively testing and slowly weaning myself off, so didn’t do one yesterday or this morning. I’ve posted my progression to hopefully reassure you. I got a positive on CB ultra early and FRER on 12dpo then negative on another test which freaked me out. 15 DPO was the first day I used cheapies and was 3 days after AF was due. The line was so faint until it suddenly got darker at around 18dpo (4+4) almost a week after AF was due. The tests seem to get darker once they dry out so the earlier ones were even fainter than in the picture.

Yeah I have got a bit obsessed. Hubby has hidden the ones I have left so I can't do them 😆

Skylark1990 · 11/08/2022 11:18

I really hope they're normal! Thank you all for the reassurance, I just feel this constant worry about various things is exhausting. I'll speak to the epau.

@faithtrustandpixiedust I had v bad sickness between weeks 8-14 but overall it was present from weeks 7-16 😩 so much longer than I'd hoped!!

Skylark1990 · 11/08/2022 11:19

@belephant were your aches you describe just on the one side? I'm getting them on right side but also centrally but the right side ones are what is worrying me, they come and go and it feels a bit different to the usual cramping

Gingermango · 11/08/2022 11:33

Spent 9 hours on epu yesterday. I’ve had what we think is viral gastroenteritis since a festival 11 days ago, added to the morning sickness I’ve had for nearly two weeks I knew I was likely dehydrated. Ketones were 4+ 🤦‍♀️ Ended up with IV cyclizine and 2x saline drips l, did get a quick scan of baby though, measuring 5+5 and saw heartbeat 😍 Docs have given me a prescription for codine to try and bung me up a little as we fly to Fuertaventura on Monday and I don’t want to be fighting people to get to the loo 😬

38startingagain · 11/08/2022 12:05

Hi everyone and congrats on everyone’s bfp’s. I had an early scan on Tuesday evening , I’m measuring 6.08mm , 6 weeks 2 days which is bang on for dates due 2nd April and we saw a heartbeat , I’m considering the harmony test because of my age and my last pregnancy being 1 out from high risk , but it’s so expensive has anyone paid for it though nhs and know the cost rather than private ?
thank you

Longbin · 11/08/2022 12:37

@38startingagain I've been quoted £315 at a clinic that does nhs and private. £400 at hey baby 4d scanning centre

alwaysseeingstars · 11/08/2022 13:02

@Gingermango sorry to hear you're struggling so much, you must be feeling awful! hope the drips have helped and you start to feel better soon.
@38startingagain that must have been lovely to see the heartbeat 😊

I'm 14dpo today I think. But pretty sure implantation was only 11dpo so maybe that's why they aren't dark. That is defo your dye stealer!!!
I've got two frers and two cb digital date ones. Going to do one of each on Saturday morning. I was not like this my last two pregnancies! X

when I had my son I had a really healthy pregnancies with no complications, my tests were not that dark for ages so im wondering if maybe I ovulated or implanted earlier than I thought 🤷🏼‍♀️. A line is a line though and if you only implanted a few days ago the hormone needs some time to increase before the lines get darker x x
