Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

I've done another test this morning and it's no darker than yesterday. Had some brown blood too. I've ordered cb digital tests to try and put my mind at ease but am feeling quite anxious.

@Orangesaretheonly how far along are you? HCG doubles every 48 hours so that could be why not much darker xxx

4+3 according to flo app. Only tested positive yesterday so perhaps I'm being impatient!

@Orangesaretheonly I'm 4+4 so very close 💕 hahaha yes probably! What did you get your BFP on? FRER? Congrats xxx

Yeah and used the other one today. I know a positive is a positive but just wanted to see the line get darker! X

xttcbabyno1x · 11/08/2022 07:07

@Orangesaretheonly I'm the same, testing daily definitely do it again tomorrow morning and there should be some colour difference ☺️ xxx

Thanks for the reassurance. 💕 Will test again in the morning. I drank loads of water yesterday too so wondered if that would have had anything to do with it! Xx

@Orangesaretheonly mine has taken quite a while to get darker and it's still not super dark if you start with only a low level of hcg it will take longer to rise. If you look at the hcg level chart for what's normal at 3/4/5 weeks it's there's a vast vast difference. Also I think some of the dyes and tests vary quite a lot even within the same brands. I had a good line on 8&9dpo for that early anyway and from then on had faint lines that got darker as they dried until 14dpo the 8&9 were different batch numbers to the rest

@Orangesaretheonly I meant longer to rise to get the dark line

I was 13dpo (I think!) when I tested yesterday on day AF was due. Got my peak and assuming I ovulated the following day I'm 14dpo today so just was expecting a darker line. Have just bought some more tests so will do another tomorrow then wait a few days. X

mummatara · 11/08/2022 07:26

@Orangesaretheonly also to add I couldn't really see the progression at all I panicked they weren't progressing until yesterday when I put them all together and it was obvious so I do think it helps to build up a few days worth of tests to really see it

xttcbabyno1x · 11/08/2022 07:28

@Orangesaretheonly no worries 💕 you could've also implanted later! I would say I implanted at 6dpo as had a faint positive on 8dpo where as you might have implanted 10-12dpo which could mean HCG still building xxx

Yes I think I did. Had what I thought was start of AF on Monday this week so only 3 days ago. Then stopped. Then positive test yesterday on day AF was due. I am the most impatient person alive which doesn't help! Early pregnancy is such an anxious time too!

ncbn1 · 11/08/2022 07:33

Good morning everyone! Congratulations everyone!
I want to ask some advice.. I found out last Wednesday I was pregnant, using lmp I would be 4+6 days today.
I ovulated around CD10/12 and had implantation bleeding cd17/18.
i guess I’m just abit confused as I had seen someone with a due date 2 days after me (current 15th April) but I ovulated roughly 3 weeks ago now. Would this make me further along than my LMP indicates?

NiceToChat88 · 11/08/2022 07:34

@ncbn1 your cycle length is used also so something with a shorter cycle usually has a sooner estimated due date xx

ncbn1 · 11/08/2022 07:40

Ah I see, I usually have cycle lengths of 33 days however this month was really odd! Obviously good odd!! Predicted my period around day 26 due to when I ovulated etc which is when I got my BFP!

belephant · 11/08/2022 07:50

Hello everyone,

Please could I join this thread? I had my BFP a few days ago, baby due April 23rd 2023 🥰 this will be my second baby!

Congratulations to everyone!!! X

ancienthouse · 11/08/2022 08:01

@Orangesaretheonly I get stronger tests in the afternoon. The weeks indicator say to use fmu but it definitely works better in the afternoon for me.

alwaysseeingstars · 11/08/2022 08:27

@hotelp I'm 5+0 but no nausea yet - part of me wishes there was so I felt slightly more assured but I know I won't be saying that if it comes 😆

Banderbear · 11/08/2022 08:30

@Orangesaretheonly I’ve been obsessively testing and slowly weaning myself off, so didn’t do one yesterday or this morning. I’ve posted my progression to hopefully reassure you. I got a positive on CB ultra early and FRER on 12dpo then negative on another test which freaked me out. 15 DPO was the first day I used cheapies and was 3 days after AF was due. The line was so faint until it suddenly got darker at around 18dpo (4+4) almost a week after AF was due. The tests seem to get darker once they dry out so the earlier ones were even fainter than in the picture.

@ncbn1 I was wondering the same thing so thanks for asking the question I wasn't sure if I was being blonde 😆 I usually have a 35 day cycle but this lucky month was only a 30 day cycle as I ovulated earlier than expected!

It’s very confusing I think!! This is my first so I’m questioning everything and wondering if I’m going mad! I’m sat thinking well surely if you’ve ovulated earlier then you will be further along than first thought but I’m not sure how it all works😂 I’m just along for the ride, also having blonde moments!

faithtrustandpixiedust · 11/08/2022 08:52

Hi everyone hope you are all well!
Just wondering if anyone has found anything that actually works to help the sickness?
Past two mornings I'm struggling to even move out of bed in the morning without being sick and I'm feeling so so guilty that DD is having to fend for herself for a bit while I'm hugging the toilet 🤢 never had this first time round so it's all new to me.

alwaysseeingstars · 11/08/2022 08:53

@ncbn1 same, first baby so all new! Very exciting but terrifying all at the same time 😊feels like I'll never feel settled in being pregnant, I'm not usually an anxious person but my gosh this has made me one! Had a CP a few months ago so my brain keeps telling me I'll miscarry. Fingers crossed not for all of us!

mummatara · 11/08/2022 08:54

@faithtrustandpixiedust I don't know if this would help with actual sickness as I've only ever had nausea with my pregnancies but sickness travel bands that go on your wrist really helped with my first two pregnancies
