Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

God I'm getting some major cramps tonight 🙈 hope it means nothing these are the first cramps I've had can't remember with my last ones if I had cramps at all 🤷🏼‍♀️

Pickles91 · 09/08/2022 22:08

You and me both @MIW01 😂

mummatara · 09/08/2022 22:11

Anyone in here from Essex?

Emeal123 · 09/08/2022 23:04

@mummatara ive got some cramps too but I know they can be normal, hopefully just our insides stretching around! Xx

mummatara · 10/08/2022 05:26

@Emeal123 thanks thankfully they didn't last long about 30 mins

3rdtimelucky2022 · 10/08/2022 06:19

Feeling very nervous this morning….

6+1 and have my first scan at EPU this morning. If there’s a heartbeat I will be started on Progesterone (history of recurrent miscarriage).

the last scan I had in EPU I was told my baby had died at 9 weeks so it’s going to bring back horrible memories. I’m just imagining the same is going to happen today :(

will update you after!

NiceToChat88 · 10/08/2022 06:19

I've had period like cramps and tugging for around a week but stopped about 2 days ago and no real symptoms other than sensitive boobs. I kind of want more symptoms to start because it's making me worry! But I do know I'm still early at under 5 weeks so not many symptoms to be had. Although I have noticed that I've been waking up soooo much earlier not sure if that's related 😂

NiceToChat88 · 10/08/2022 06:20

@3rdtimelucky2022 good luck!! ✨ I'll be thinking of you. Let us know how you get on! Try and remain positive and be kind to yourself xx

Orangesaretheonly · 10/08/2022 06:45

Tentatively joining as had a bfp this morning at 14dpo. Had some bleeding Monday which I assumed was AF but might have been implantation. Due date 18th April. This is baby number 3, 2.5&4yr old girls. Had a home birth midwife with my second although she was born in hospital, having all the appointments at home was a game changer so definitely doing that again!

I remember with my last baby calling the doctors and they couldn't give a flying f. We've moved so have a new doctors who seem very nice. When is everyone contacting them? Congratulations to everyone! 💕

misslomi · 10/08/2022 06:50

@Orangesaretheonly congratulations!

I'm going to call my doctors today and I think I'm about 6 weeks.

How is everyone feeling this morning? I been up since 5.30 feeling sick 😰

Longbin · 10/08/2022 06:52

@misslomi also up feeling sick this morning. I have a few cramps as well

misslomi · 10/08/2022 07:06

@Longbin I've been cramping too! Have you found anything to settle your stomach?

MIW01 · 10/08/2022 08:48

@BecksLouise yay! Though there is a possibility I will be induced early as I have diabetes and if baby gets too big they want to deliver early. But I really want to do everything as naturally as possible.

Congratulations @Orangesaretheonly I'm 5+5 today and I've already contacted as I am high risk due to diabetes and being 36 (37 in September) and this is 1st baby so let them know ASAP.

I just can not sleep atm. Usually if I have a poor night I need to conk out on the sofa in the morning for a bit but not happening atm.

I am a bit concerned about the heat and risks in this heat!

Is anyone self employed? I started my business earlier this year. I'm a sole trader and still very much in business infancy and won't be able to work when heavily pregnant or with a small baby. So wondering what my options are, if any, for maternity leave.

mummatara · 10/08/2022 08:52

@Orangesaretheonly congrats I'm due 19th so close to you

I've already contacted the hosp you have to do your own referral where I am. I didn't want to leave it due to a previous MC just incase I had any concerns

mummatara · 10/08/2022 08:58

@3rdtimelucky2022 good luck 💕

@NiceToChat88 I've been waking up very early and I did with my other pregnancies too so I think it a thing 😂 makes you extra tired though later in the day

Wouldloveanother · 10/08/2022 08:58

Morning folks! 5+0 today and no proper sickness yet, just faint nausea at certain smells which is worse in the evenings. I can’t remember exactly when the sickness started with DD, I know it was after 6 weeks though as I (luckily) wasn’t sick over Christmas - I think it was more like 7.

i was thinking this morning how great the timing is this time round - last time I was newly pregnant at Christmas so I had to avoid all the booze and nice food and tell really obvious lies about why I couldn’t have any 😂 I had a huge bump and gave birth in the 2019 heatwave which was brutal 🥵

i love the thought of being 6 months pregnant at Christmas 🎄 far along enough not to feel so rough/sick, but not so far as to be waddling and grumpy 😂

ancienthouse · 10/08/2022 09:31

I've been waking up early too, I was up before my toddler today which is a novelty!

My sickness started at 6 weeks exactly with my DD so if this one sticks and goes the same way, I've got another week of being able to enjoy food and then it's just toast for at least 10 weeks.

@3rdtimelucky2022 I hope your scan goes well, it must be so anxious waiting but hopefully it's good news.

alwaysseeingstars · 10/08/2022 10:07

@3rdtimelucky2022 thinking of you, hope all goes well today.

3rdtimelucky2022 · 10/08/2022 10:09

Hello,

thanks for the good wishes everyone!

happy to say I have just been scanned and there is a baby with a heartbeat 😊 Measuring fine at 6 weeks.

massive sigh of relief!

i lost a baby after seeing a heartbeat before though so unfortunately I don’t think it will totally ease my anxiety.

im also waking super early!! Feel sorry for my husband as I keep waking him too. Feeling really tired which makes the nausea feel worse too.

KennAdams · 10/08/2022 10:16

Glad the scan went well @3rdtimelucky2022 🎉

I know what you mean. It's an anxious time.

alwaysseeingstars · 10/08/2022 10:37

@3rdtimelucky2022 oh, wonderful!! must have been so lovely, I know there are of course still risks but it's one step at a time 😊
I'm not waking any earlier than usual (always an early riser anyway) but my gosh I can't get to sleep in the evenings!

Emeal123 · 10/08/2022 10:54

@alwaysseeingstars im struggling to fall asleep in the evenings too! But I’m sure the pregnancy tiredness will hit us at some point 😅

I don’t know about anyone else but I’m very gassy 🤣🤣, still bloated but boobs aren’t really that sore now

HoneyPea · 10/08/2022 11:06

@41andtryingforfirst All over for me I've had 2 negative tests and I've now got a really bad UTI. Being referred for bladder tests as I've had a lot since I gave birth to my Angel baby girl in Feb 😢 still getting bad nausea which is just rubbish!
Just caught up on your posts, I'm really hoping you get some good news at your next scan. 🤞🏻

alwaysseeingstars · 10/08/2022 11:42

@Emeal123 I'm absolutely exhausted during the day (cannot stop yawning either 😆) but for some reason as soon as I'm in bed - wide awake!! Not had sore boobs yet, just sore nipples but mine have always been sensitive. Definitely agree with the gassiness - that and odd little burps?! How far along are you?

Chocolat · 10/08/2022 12:40

@3rdtimelucky2022 thats great to hear! Keep positive x

Had two waves of nausea this morning, not sure if it’s pregnancy or this weather as it’s gone now 😅
