Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

Chocolat · 07/08/2022 22:01

@Wouldloveanother ooh that’s interesting about gender and HCG, thanks! Yep I’m sure the next few weeks will be quite interesting..

Haha that sense of smell is impressive, how many weeks are you now?

Chocolat · 07/08/2022 22:03

@Badassbreastfeeder85

@J1290

congratulations both! It really is a surreal and exciting time xx

faithtrustandpixiedust · 08/08/2022 00:07

Is anyone else just finding absolutely everything so so annoying just now? DH is currently breathing too loud in bed beside me and I'm seething 😅🤣

KennAdams · 08/08/2022 01:01

Omg yes @faithtrustandpixiedust got my BFP yesterday.

Today I've spent most of the day away from everybody because I was so close to shouting at them all for simply breathing and talking. 😬😂

mummatara · 08/08/2022 06:24

Hi ladies can I join? Got my BFP 5 days ago due 19th April 🌈💕 this will be my #2 DC but third pregnancy. So far all I've had are random bouts of heartburn my morning sickness doesn't usually arrive until about 6/7 weeks right around the time we go on holiday 😂

NiceToChat88 · 08/08/2022 07:14

@faithtrustandpixiedust yesss me too!! I hate everyone and everything at the moment!

@mummatara welcome ❤️ I've been having heart burn too!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good decaf tea? I usually have 3/4 cups a day and have managed to cut down to 2 a day, ideally would like that to be 1 or none if I can find a nice decaf? Xx

mummatara · 08/08/2022 07:17

@NiceToChat88 I didn't have it with my others but one of the nicer symptoms is it 😂 with my first I just used pg tips decaf which I found fine but now I drink a lot of herbal tea rather than normal tea

OttilieKnackered · 08/08/2022 07:26

@NiceToChat88 i would highly recommend red bush rather than decaf versions of normal tea.

misslomi · 08/08/2022 08:07

Morning ladies!

Got my blood test today so hopefully should know either way tomorrow.

Symptoms are still going strong, nausea, sore boobs and lots of burping, is anyone else burping loads?!

NiceToChat88 · 08/08/2022 08:27

@misslomi fingers are crossed for you, let us know how you get on!! ✨

misslomi · 08/08/2022 08:36

Thank you! Trying not to think about the worst outcome x

Chocolat · 08/08/2022 08:41

@NiceToChat88 i have the Yorkshire tea decaf, it took a few days to get used to but now I like it and normal tea tastes bitter 😂

NiceToChat88 · 08/08/2022 09:03

I've just bought some PG tips decaf.... just about to try a cup. Very low expectations 🤣

simplythequest · 08/08/2022 09:24

Hi everyone, can I join in?

A bit worried about moving across to this board from the conception boards after a miscarriage in January at 6 and a half weeks. Currently 4w+2 and only found out on Friday, so utterly terrified it'll go wrong again. Due date is currently April 15th 😊

OttilieKnackered · 08/08/2022 09:43

Hi @simplythequest, welcome. I think a fair few of us are in the same boat (I am).

it’s so nerve wracking but almost certainly there’s nothing you can do about the outcome (bar extreme things like taking drugs or starting parkour). I’m currently trying to embody cautiously optimistic but I think I’ll be pretty nervous all the way through.

Skylark1990 · 08/08/2022 09:57

Hi all. Can I join?

Finally plucking up the courage ...☺️ I'm 4+5 due 12 April, this is my fourth pregnancy this year, have sadly had 3 miscarriages - all quite early on, two before 5 weeks and one at 6+3 most recently. I got pregnant this time straight after my most recent loss, DH and I weren't trying but it ended up happening anyway so I'm really hoping this is the one. Taking progesterone suppositories now and have had a few tests at the recurrent miscarriage clinic, all normal so far. It's nerve wracking but trying to be positive! And defo happy to be pregnant again. Have a scan at 6+5 so in two weeks 🤞🤞🤞

I have a DD who is 23 mo. I'm still breastfeeding but have cut back a lot as worried it was affecting my ability to stay pregnant.

@mummatara nice to see you over from the TTC boards! Congratulations! Xxx

NiceToChat88 · 08/08/2022 09:57

@simplythequest I think we were on another TTC board together!! I'm 4 weeks 2 also! ✨

Is anyone taking any specific multivitamins? I was taking the Proceive conception but have not stopped and just taking 400mg active folate, Vit D & magnesium. Does that sound enough or any other suggestions?

ancienthouse · 08/08/2022 10:19

@Skylark1990 congratulations and sorry about your losses. its so tough. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks earlier this year and I'm really having to rein myself in from doing a test every day and obsessing over lines!

I'm also still breastfeeding my DD but only once a day, I know lots of women end up tandem feeding so I don't think it should affect it in any way.

ancienthouse · 08/08/2022 10:21

@NiceToChat88 I'm taking a pregnancy multi vit that has folate rather than folic acid in, some extra methylated folate just in case, vit D and extra B6 in an attempt to ward off the nausea.

chillichillioil · 08/08/2022 10:26

@simplythequest snap, my due date is April 15th too. Also really worried, but we're all in this together xxx

Skylark1990 · 08/08/2022 10:37

@ancienthouse thank you. Sorry to hear of your loss ❤️ so so hard indeed. That's nice you are still bf too, I'm also down to once a day now, occasionally twice (at nap times the days she's not at nursery 😅 absolutely impossible to get her down otherwise!). Normally just the bedtime feed now tho, if was hard to stop the morning one but I stopped when I found it about a week ago. She still comes in for a snuggle so that's nice. How old is your DC? And SNAP on the testing, I have been sort of ok with it but from Fri -sunday just been I had a run of cheapie tests all looking basically same level of darkness and I completely freaked out. Did a FRER and one more cheapie this morning and both dark lines, so have promised no more tests now for at least a week when I'll just do one more Digi. It's silly as I tested loads with my previous pregnancy, they all looked good, and it still ended in loss 💔💔 but I guess it provides a little bit of reassurance during such uncertain times.

Skylark1990 · 08/08/2022 10:41

@NiceToChat88 I'm taking a prenatal that's food derived and includes natural folate, I also take extra vitamin D in drop form, omega 3, spatone iron and spirulina. I also try to take maca when I remember and some probiotics haha. The prenatal I take is Terra Nova x

Skylark1990 · 08/08/2022 10:46

@NiceToChat88 also saw your tea message. I love my tea too! I think one or two is absolutely fine and actually decaf usually goes through a chemical process that can make it worse for us. However, good to limit the caffeine too ofc! I usually just have one normal tea in morning, occasionally two, then rest of day herbal ones that are fine in pregnancy.

For decaf black tea - I love clipper teas and their decaf is quite nice. The decaf Yorkshire one is pretty good too.

Herbal naturally decaf replacements that work well are rooibos and peppermint. Green has caffeine but not as much so another good option if you haven't had much already.

Matildahoney · 08/08/2022 10:56

@NiceToChat88 surprisingly Aldi own decaf tea is lovely, and I'm usually a Yorkshire drinker! Cheap as chips too, about 80p for 80 teabags, I prefer it to Yorkshire decaf
