Thanks all. I'm so in love. I really need to get some sleep but can't stop looking at baby Daniel.

It will be your turn soon @xreadytoglow. It is crazy thinking back to all those Bfps. Are you doing lots to try to naturally induce baby?

Bluehawaii29 · 11/11/2022 07:06

@Dueinjan23 thank you! So happy for everyone and how far we’ve all come! @Overlyanxious honestly you just can’t stop staring at them, it’s just incredible how they are actually here, I’m on day 6 now and she just gets more and more beautiful, with her open eyes and just want to soak in every moment. enjoy! Xx

Bluehawaii29 · 11/11/2022 07:09

@xreadytoglow how are you getting on? Any updates x

How is everyone else doing with their new babies? X

Overlyanxious · 16/11/2022 19:15

@Gigi89x I'm getting on well thanks. I can't stop looking at my beautiful baby. I found the first few days difficult due to soreness from the c section, exhaustion from being in hospital, too many visitors and feeling frustrated about baby not settling in the night. However it's nearly been a week and I'm not so sore from the c section, have had some quiet time and got into the rhythm of a newborn. I'm still pretty tired due to lack of sleep though

Overlyanxious · 16/11/2022 19:20

@Gigi89x how are you getting on?

Bryterlayter1 · 16/11/2022 21:41

Glad you are feeling well @Overlyanxious.

We've just gotten home from hospital. I ended up spending 5 days in as I got a post dural puncture headache from the spinal sedation. It was honestly the most pain I have ever been in. I was on oral morphine for several days. I had to have 2 blood patches (where they inject your blood into the spine to stop the spinal fluid leaking). The first didn't work but thankfully the second one did. I may still have to go back for 1 more as I still have a bit of the headache and sickness, but nothing like before. I couldn't stand, let alone walk for several days. My poor partner ended up staying with me in hospital as I couldn't do much at all for the baby, my partner or the midwife had to hold the baby to me to feed because I could even sit up in bed. Thankfully the hospital were so fantastic, they kept us all going.

I sincerely home everyone else's births have been fairly straightforward and you are all home and happy with the baby. For those of you with births to come wishing you all a straightforward delivery.

Bryterlayter1 · 16/11/2022 22:07

Just to add pdph is a rare complication. Anyone due to give birth it is quite unlikely to happen to you, I have just been unlucky.

Overlyanxious · 17/11/2022 07:44

@Bryterlayter1 oh I'm so sorry you've had a rough time of it. You must feel so much better now that you're at home.

Bluehawaii29 · 17/11/2022 11:57

@Overlyanxious heyy can’t believe it’s been a week already! Ishika is about to turn 2 weeks old, it’s crazy how fast time flies! Yes I remember feeling exhausted first few days due to the reasons you mentioned except we haven’t had visitors and they will start trickling in from this weekend. Glad you are enjoying baby time and more settled now xx

@Bryterlayter1 your experience sounds awful, poor you, must have been so scary having a headache that severe, I’m glad you are home now and hopefully will start feeling more like yourself again, take some time to rest and delegate jobs to your partner as much as possible xx

Gigi89x · 17/11/2022 21:12

@Overlyanxious i'm glad your starting to feel better after your csection

@Bryterlayter1 i hope you start to feel better soon, sounds like you have had a tough time

@Bluehawaii29 i cant believe your baby girl is 2 weeks already!

I had some reduced movement on Tuesday evening, we went to the hospital and they checked babies heartbeat which was fine & had a scan today which showed all fine. Kicking is usually frequent and hard in evenings which is what worried me when i had nothing all evening. But all ok now

xreadytoglow · 22/11/2022 03:50

Hi all, sorry it's taken a while for me to update on here. My son was born via EMCS on 14/11/22. He's doing really well and we're so in love 🥰 fully immersed in the newborn bubble.

@Bluehawaii29 @Overlyanxious @Gigi89x thank you for the good wishes, feeling so much better now and the experience has made me grateful for all the things that went, well mainly a healthy little boy.

@xreadytoglow congrats! Hope all is well and that you recover quickly from the c section.

This experience has really made me in awe of our bodies. We all grew new magnificent humans! What a gift.

bajanbump · 22/11/2022 16:12

@xreadytoglow congratulations!!!

Induction day tomorrow for me!! Wish me luck ladies!!

Bryterlayter1 · 22/11/2022 17:11

@bajanbump good luck! Hoping the induction works quickly and labour goes smoothly.

Overlyanxious · 23/11/2022 18:46

@Gigi89x glad to hear all went well after the reduced movements. How are you doing now? How many weeks are you?

@xreadytoglow congratualtions. Hope you’re doing well after the c section.

@bajanbump good luck for the induction.

@Bryterlayter1 glad to hear you are feeling better.

Gigi89x · 23/11/2022 20:31

@xreadytoglow congratulations im so pleased for you!

@bajanbump i hope all is going ok at the moment for you, any news?

@Overlyanxious everything is fine now, its hard to know when to act and go to hospital but Im glad i got the baby checked out. Im 28 + 4 now!

I had my "anti d" injection on monday for my blood type as im rhesus negative . Anyone else had this?

xreadytoglow · 23/11/2022 20:42

Thanks guys! It wasn't at all the birth I wanted but I'm just glad that he's here safe & well. There were times during the labour where we wasn't sure if we'd be bringing him home. So scary. Treasuring every moment with him now 🤍

How's your babies getting on girls?

Bluehawaii29 · 23/11/2022 20:49

@xreadytoglow heyy congrats on your baby boy! Hope you are enjoying every precious moment of him xx
@bajanbump i hope your induction went well today and there may be a chance you already are Holding your twins!
@Gigi89x that must have been scary with the reduced movements but glad you are doing ok. I haven’t had anti D injections but I think @Overlyanxious has had them?

@xreadytoglow we are doing well, baby girl is going to be 3 weeks this Saturday. The visitor numbers are starting to crank up from this weekend onwards but hopefully everyone will be sensible and she will remain well and free of any winter bugs x

Overlyanxious · 24/11/2022 00:53

@Gigi89x wow 28 weeks - you’re getting there. I think always best to get anything checked out. I had the anti d injection. I ended up not needing it after birth as they tested babies blood and it was negative.

@xreadytoglow that sounds really scary. My baby took his time to cry after the c section and that was pretty terrifying.

@Bluehawaii29 i hope you enjoy all the visitors. Definitely don’t want any winter bugs.

I’m currently waiting for baby to settle in his cot for the night (well a couple of hours) been attempting it since about 9pm.

bajanbump · 25/11/2022 11:03

Thank you for all the wishes ladies!

Thanksgiving Thursday was our turn. At 2 am Barcelona time, Siena and Savannah arrived in this world after an eventful birth.

My induction began at around 8pm with a prostaglandin tampon. Two hours after I started with an unusual effect of the medication and started having contractions much earlier than expected, and much faster. I was having really painful contractions that were only apart by 20-30”. At this point, the doc decided to remove the medication and try to slow down the contractions, since they were not helping me dilatate either. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen and I asked for an epidural because the pain was mind-blowing and I had no chance to rest in between.
To add to the night the anaesthesiologist asked why didn’t I mention before that I had scoliosis .. well I didn’t mention it because I never knew 🥲. With my new ”situation” it took them about 4 tries before they could place my epidural.
When they placed my epidural they decided to start with the artificial oxytocin to make sure the process of birth continued.
Unfortunately, at that point, Siena heart decided she was not liking all this process and slowed down massively. To the point they rushed me the OR to have an emergency c-section. The problem is that my body had not yet fully assimilated the epidural and the c section medication through it. I found myself feeling what was happening at the beginning of the surgery. Although it was not fully sensitive when it came to the moment to remove the first baby the pain was unbearable. I heard the anaesthesiologist ask for 5 more minutes, and the doctor say “we don’t really have 5 minutes” to what I responded begging for them to put me under general anesthesia as I knew it could be done via my already placed IV and it would be almost immediate.

The last thing I remember is seeing the white injection being inserted in my IV as I tried not to cry and fully panic. When I woke up the nurses told me I had two girls that were born crying and that they were both with their dad (who had not been allowed in the OR). I cried bc of the trauma, bc of missing the birth of my daughters, bc of not being able to see my partner’s reaction when seeing his daughter's face for the first time… but mostly I cried out of relief and happiness.

@xreadytoglow @bajanbump I'm so sorry to read that you both had difficult deliveries. I hope you are both enjoying time with your little ones.
