@Gigi89x My clinic did a gradual reduction of meds between ~ 11 and 13 weeks. Its super common to be nervous stopping the meds but you'll be absolutely fine :)

@Overlyanxious Its madness. My previously small bump also now seems super big to me! Estimated fetal weight yesterday ~4lb 10z. DP was scaring me though as she commented that if my due-date weight is now 8.5 - 9lbs then bubs still has another ~4lbs to put on in the next ~7 weeks 😮While my amniotic fluid level is 'normal' for this point in pregnancy, I still noticed at scan that there are hardly any pockets of fluid left so where the hell is it going to FIT!? 😂

@Gigi89x yeah just ask them if you can stop at 12 weeks if you are worried x

Bluehawaii29 · 15/07/2022 10:31

Todays scan went really well :) baby looking perfect and growing really well, brain perfect and they saw head straight away as she’s in breech position now so won’t hopefullly put as much pressure on my cervix, the consultant was really good and what she said made sense that cervix doesn’t need to be checked this soon as stitch in place and not going to change management so will have it next Thursday now and then follow up with prematurity clinic straight after. She told me main thing is I have to take it easy and no walking etc x

Bluehawaii29 · 15/07/2022 11:19

Can’t stop looking at her little head, they said her being in head down position for so long could have put more pressure on my cervix earlier so hopefully the breech position will suit me for longer 🙏🏽

Overlyanxious · 15/07/2022 14:05

@2mumlife that's a great bump. It is crazy to think how much baby can fit in. My sister had twins and they were both 6lbs - how on earth did she manage 12lb worth of baby?

@Bluehawaii29 so glad the scan went well. That's a lovely scan pic. I love looking back at my pics. Glad it's all been so positive. How are you finding the taking it easy? I have to say this heat is stopping me doing much.

Bluehawaii29 · 15/07/2022 14:14

@Overlyanxious yeah I think I’ve managed to slow myself down now and just accept modified best rest, I’ve got a good book called super attractor so that’s helping keeping my mind positive. And like you said the heat is draining anyway so I just lie in bed in front of the dyson fan, it’s very relaxing and much rather be here than out there

Bluehawaii29 · 15/07/2022 14:15

*bed rest

Overlyanxious · 15/07/2022 14:29

@Bluehawaii29 that sounds good - especially staying positive . Would you recommend the Dyson?

Bluehawaii29 · 15/07/2022 14:42

@Overlyanxious yeah dyson fan and dyson hoover are both brill

2mumlife · 16/07/2022 08:29

@Bluehawaii29 So please everything went well. I love looking at the heart and brain at scans! Only thing I would say is a lot of ladies in my due date group whose babies are still breach say its mega sore when they kick your cervix so watch out for that! Pleased to hear you're taking things easy. One day at a time - you got this :)

@Overlyanxious Can't imagine trying to squish 2 babies in there! I was rubbing in oil into bump last night, and for the frist time received an ulmighty whack back from baby lol I still find it so weird thinking there is a little human in there.

Bluehawaii29 · 16/07/2022 09:13

@2mumlife hii your bump looks lovely x
yeah we haven’t got to see the brain in detail before as she was always in a awkward position but was really nice how it just came up straight away yesterday. I did ask regarding the breech position and what happens if she keeps kicking down there but the consultant said it will be more pressure for you if it is head down due to head being the heaviest part. It’s still not exactly fun and games when you feel kicks there though! But just taking it easy and lying low now x

xreadytoglow · 17/07/2022 10:06

@2mumlife that's brilliant that they've stopped mentioning inductions! You have a really lovely bump too 🤍 32 weeks, time is flyiiinngg by.

@Gigi89x congrats on 10 weeks! I tried to taper mine off and did 1 a day for the two days after then thought sod it and stopped 😂 horrible things. My clinic also suggested 12 weeks so yeah if you have extra there's definitely no harm in continuing.

@Bluehawaii29 glad your scan went well. Lovely scan pic of her profile. Staying inside with a fan on sounds bliss right now!

I've finally reached viability .. whhoooooop! 🤍

@xreadytoglow thank you, that’s so nice to reach 24 weeks, that’s my next milestone but celebrating 22 weeks today and 1 week post op. let’s hope next couple of weeks go quick x

2mumlife · 18/07/2022 09:51

@Bluehawaii29 Yeah the pressure down there isn't much fun to be honest - its just the last maybe 2 weeks I've started to get some pelvic bone pain and feel like I'm carrying a head around lol Baby has plenty of time to turn for you though :)

@xreadytoglow What a neat bump you have :) Congrats on reaching viability! I know when I reached that point it was the first time I could really believe the pregnancy could end with a baby. Hope you're feeling well?

bajanbump · 19/07/2022 17:06

Hey ladies!! I don't get any notification anymore :( so just catching up!

@Bluehawaii29 I am so so happy for you. Your little one is precious and I am so happy all went well with the scan.

I have my anatomy/anomaly scan on Friday and I'm low-key freaking out already. I just dream about the relief that would come after if everything is good. I feel I will allow myself to start fully nesting then (basically I will go crazy with the shopping lol)

@2mumlife @xreadytoglow those are lovely bumps!! I feel mine is growing a bit out of control LOL the doctor said it was fine so I'm not panicking but i just feel so heavy already. I am struggling a bit to find a comfortable position, especially after lunch.

This is my bump today 18+5 (as per last period)

Bluehawaii29 · 19/07/2022 17:56

@bajanbump aww thank you xx yeah was a relief to see her well after all the events of last week. Am just taking it easy now, 22+2 wk today. I’m sure your 20 week scan will be ok, try to enjoy it if you can x your bump looks lovely. I don’t really wear anything at the mo in this heat wave just being stuck at home or I would take a pic of my bump too lol

2mumlife · 20/07/2022 10:56

@bajanbump You're looking great! Might be time to invest in a pregnancy pillow if you're feeling discomfort already? Best of luck for Friday!

bajanbump · 20/07/2022 13:43

@Bluehawaii29 @2mumlife thank you, ladies!

@2mumlife I already invested in one! One with great reviews on Amazon but I just can't find a way to use it LOL it is so huge I don't know how to make it work to my advantage so I am using normal pillows between my legs at the moment.. maybe I'm missing something? LOL

Me and my partner are gonna try to do a staycation 2 weeks before I leave as a sort of a babymoon lol I am really looking forward to just chilling and being on the beach and in the pool..even if we already live on an island is not the same vacations mode as when you are on vacation mode lol .

Also, wanted to ask, for those of you who work with a computer several hours a day, have u noticed if your hands swell more? I am obviously on the look for any preeclampsia symptom but this only happens when i work

xreadytoglow · 20/07/2022 14:36

@2mumlife thank you! I'm feeling well thanks. I get back ache at the end of the day and pain in my ribs but I wasn't expecting pregnancy to be pain free! I might get a prenatal massage in a month or so and see if that helps my back but I've lived with back pain for years.

@Bluehawaii29 reaching 24 weeks definitely feels good.

@bajanbump aww what a cute bump you have! I hope you get the hang of your pregnancy pillow. I didn't buy one because of the size issue so no help! I hope everything goes well on Friday.

Hi guys, so I had my cervix length check today. So relieved the stitch was all good and it was longer than before, around 21mm now and closed so the sonographer was very happy and says I don’t need any more cervix checks and can go ahead with growth scans at 28 weeks now. Baby is lying across now x

Bluehawaii29 · 20/07/2022 18:00

Up to date bump pic at 22.5 weeks x saw the baby kicking me on the screen today and could actually reach to her face with her kicks, she was looking straight at us so sonographer said do you want me to do 3D scan so we just said ok and then right at the last second she turned her head and we ended up with an alien pic!

2mumlife · 22/07/2022 10:04

@Bluehawaii29 That's great your cervix is looking closed and no more checks are needed :) Do you still need to take it easy with exercise or can you go back to your normal activities? Bump is looking cute :)

Bluehawaii29 · 22/07/2022 10:38

@2mumlife hey so I had my consultant appt yesterday to discuss the scan, turns out it’s actually total length of 27mm now so the best it’s been since the 12 week scan, she was happy with it but just as routine procedure I have to do a fetal Fibronectin swab at 24 and 28 weeks with her but no more scans for now, prefer the swab to the scan tbh. She was very relaxed about allowing me normal acitivities but I’ve lost confidence in what I can and can’t do since this all happened so I’ll still be staying at home and just walking around the house rather than going out for now. I’m 23 weeks now so my next milestones are 24 and 28 weeks and then maybe My anxiety might start to improve. I’ve also been referred by iapt to bump to baby course for anxiety in pregnancy so will be group based with other women going through it. Hopefully that will also help my mind. How are you? X

bajanbump · 22/07/2022 23:13

Ladies! Both my girls are good! Everything it's where is supposed to be :D
