lol I meant 2.8kg not 28kg! Haha

Bluehawaii29 · 31/10/2022 12:13

@Bryterlayter1 happy 37 weeks! 🎉🎉 not long now xx

bajanbump · 31/10/2022 14:44

@Overlyanxious thank you so much! It took a while to find two names that we liked and that went well together. Naming twins aint easy lol

Regarding the dentist emergency I feel you!

I had a tooth literally fell the day before the transfer LOOOL it was one pretty compromised as it already had a huge filling, but i've spent my whole pregnancy without one tooth (thank God its pretty in the back) but since it. already had a root canal it wasnt that bad.

Then at 22 weeks, I had another filling break but I was able to put an emergency filling until I give birth so that wasnt that bad.

I have bruxism so my mouth has always been a battle.

My carpal tunnel was really bad in both hands at the end of the second trimester, to the point I could barely feel the fingertips in 3 fingers of each hand. Now is much better, right hand is almost back to normal and left hand only middle one is bad (but I had carpal tunnel pre-pregnancy there)

Yeah they told me the same regarding measurings, but I was just super worried about my babies swimming in their clothes if they were born earlier than the 37th week, so I ordered a bunch of preemie clothes from the US.. if I end up giving them away bc they are born big enough for the newborn ones I will consider it a blessing!

bajanbump · 31/10/2022 16:52

@Bluehawaii29 Love the name Ishika I had never heard it before!!

The girls are also in the 60%-65% but for twins! I think its a perfect percentile lol

I have a scan next week at 34+5 and we will program either induction or c-section for the 37th! Can't wait!

bajanbump · 02/11/2022 18:56

just an update on my bump! 34 weeks tomorrow!

Gigi89x · 02/11/2022 22:30

@bajanbump Wow thats a bump!! How do you feel in yourself? Is it difficult to move now, im only 25 weeks and starting to find it hard to bend down!

bajanbump · 03/11/2022 11:01

@Gigi89x apart from people staring at me in the street lol now that my toe has healed I'm doing pretty good. I mean I can't walk normal distances.. let's say I can do 30' top then I have to stop and I can walk another 20' but then I'm done for the day lol

When I'm at home I think at this point I've gotten used to it. Being twins I've had a big bump for so long I had just adapt 🤣🤣

In any case, nurses point out that I am carrying pretty good for being twins and that while I'm not excessively tall (5'6) being a bit taller than average and with wide hips helps distribute the volume. This is also why the doctor said she would recommend trying an induction, and not getting directly to a c-section, if babies hadn't come naturally at 37. So I am super super blessed in that sense!

Bending down is not an option after a certain point so don't worry, squatting is the substitute, but I have horrible knees lol so I just ask people to pick up things for me

Bryterlayter1 · 03/11/2022 11:32

@bajanbump glad you are feeling OK. Twins must be hard. I'm find 1 exhausting at 37 weeks.

Got my official section date 10th November am. I was kind of hoping for earlier in the week as I am so uncomfortable, but I'm happy to know the date and be able to make plans. Loads of pressure and discomfort in my nether regions. Ah the joys of pregnancy. Just keep telling myself it's less than a week now

Bluehawaii29 · 03/11/2022 13:26

Hey everyone hope you are all good! @bry exciting you have a day! Am beginning our 10 day countdown today. They took the stitch out this morning! Was torture but out in 10 min! Such a relief, just on our way home now @bajanbump wow that’s a huge bump! That’s good they are letting you try naturally first

Overlyanxious · 03/11/2022 19:45

@Bluehawaii29 Ishika is such a lovely name. Glad the stitch is out but sorry to hear it was painful.

@bajanbump I am prone to teeth issues so not that surprised I've had a problem. It doesn't hurt in general now but it hurts a bit if I try to eat on that tooth. Sorry to hear you've had teeth issues too as well as carpal tunnel. That's a great bump you have.

@Gigi89x I can't wait to be able to bend down again.

@Bryterlayter1 that's not too long now till your section - very exciting.

I finally finished work today - so I now have 3 days of nothing before going in to hospital for my induction. I keep seeing stories about people having their inductions delayed by days and being stuck in hospital so a bit worried about that. Also I don't have any indications that baby is wanting to come anytime soon.

Bluehawaii29 · 03/11/2022 19:50

@Overlyanxious aww amazing you’ve finished work and so exciting just 3 days away! Wishing you a smooth labour and can’t wait to hear about your little one xx

Overlyanxious · 03/11/2022 20:01

Thanks @Bluehawaii29

Bryterlayter1 · 03/11/2022 20:19

@Overlyanxious congrats on getting to mat leave! You worked right up until the end, that's impressive. I feel like my brain wasn't functioning properly over the last few weeks and I was glad to finish at week 37. Enjoy your last child free few days and best of luck for the induction, I hope it goes quickly for you.

Overlyanxious · 03/11/2022 20:56

Thanks @Bryterlayter1. I'm not entirely sure how I managed to work till so late.

Bluehawaii29 · 06/11/2022 01:12

Hey guys! So we had our baby girl on 5/11/22! Started having contractions from 2am so went to maternity triage and ended up with c section birth at 10.16am, weighing 7 pounds and we are both doing great x

Bryterlayter1 · 07/11/2022 12:47

@Overlyanxious is today induction day? If so, wishing you all the best.

Overlyanxious · 07/11/2022 13:18

@Bluehawaii29 it's just so crazy thinking back to when you were waiting to see if you had a BfP and now you have your baby 😊

@Bryterlayter1 thank you. It is. I've been given the pessary and being monitored for an hour. Been told I can go home for 24 hours which is good - unless waters break etc. I don't think anything will happen anytime soon though. My cervix was still closed.

Bluehawaii29 · 07/11/2022 15:03

@Overlyanxious aww yea i know, what a journey! All worth it in the end though and yours will be too :)xx

Gigi89x · 07/11/2022 15:23

@Overlyanxious is the pessary the same as being induced?
I hope you don't have to wAit too long for baby!! How exciting

I just saw my midwife and it felt like a very rushed apptmt, I'm 26+2 - i asked when i would be induced due to IVF and she said they wouldn't let me go beyond the due date and would induce. So Im not sure if that meant induced on due date or the day after?

When did you ladies start talking about birth plans with your midwife?

Overlyanxious · 07/11/2022 15:33

@Gigi89x the pessary is the first part of the induction to get your cervix ready and for it to open up enough. I got told I needed to be induced around my due date and a couple of weeks before was given the option of being induced on my due date or a few days before. I opted for 2 days before. My birth plan was discussed at my 34 week midwife appointment.
