@2mumlife thank youuu can’t tell you how nice it is to be home. Slept well. Feeling better and having my fetal scan today with a specialist to check on baby’s head as the sonographers had struggled with her position but last night felt like she turned 180degrees and now I think she’s in transverse position instead of cephalon so fingers crossed will be easier x

@xreadytoglow thank you for setting up the new thread!!!

@Bluehawaii29 keep us posted!!

hope everyone is having a great week, on my side, I think I have now become lactose intolerant 😂😂 😂 😂 😂

I knew this could happen..but ladies you don't understand..I'm the biggest milk and cheese, consumer...I love everything milk lol it started with me getting more gassy than normal when I drank milk and now I also had diarrhea the two times I tried to drink whole fresh milk

oh well, just another thing to add to the list of things i will need to wait until December to have lol

Also, question, when did the quickening become kicks for you ladies? I've been getting quickening consistently since the 16th week, but wondering when I will feel the first kick(s)

No problem guys 😊

@Bluehawaii29 glad to hear that you're home. I hope your scan today went well. Get a good nights sleep tonight! 💤

@bajanbump oh no! That's crappy about the dairy situation... how odd to just suddenly have a reaction like that! I think I started to feel 'kicks' from about 19 weeks. But not very often at that point. My wife first felt one at 19+5.

Hi guys thanks for checking up on me @xreadytoglow @bajanbump I been sleeping ok now and feel more rested but just get freaked out by the diarrhoea issue post hospital discharge. I think it’s to do with the antibiotics and is slowing down a bit. I had a couple of episodes overnight and done progesterone rectally this morning as now vaginal is not an option due to infection risk. So just praying I don’t get any diarrhoea today. There’s been no vaginal bleeding or pain and still feel baby kicking. Scan didn’t happen yesterday. It’s been moved to tomorrow morning at the fetal medicine unit in sister hospital as they had no availability in local one. But at least I will be seen by a consultant specialist who actually specialises in prematurity so feel like I’ll be in good hands and they’ll also check on the cervix and stitch tomorrow too. Will let you know how it goes x

@Bluehawaii29 sorry to hear about the Diarrhea - really not what you want. Glad to hear you can feel baby kicking Smile that will be good to be seen by a specialist and get checked over and some more info. Keeping my fingers crossed that they give you good news x

@bajanbump I didn't know you could become lactose intolerant during pregnancy!? I'm not sure I could live without cheese..... 😮hopefully it passes once babies out. I felt proper movements I felt confident were movements at around 19/20 weeks

@Bluehawaii29 Sounds like the diarrhoea is antibiotics related. Hopefully it starts to ease soon. When I was on antibiotics for UTI I took some probiotics at the same time to try to help keep digestion going normally. I'm sorry scan didn't happen yesterday but good luck for this morning, hoping everything goes well.

I had my 32 week growth scan this morning and baby has dropped down the weight percentiles to nicely between the 50th and 90th lines which I'm so pleased about. Consultant didn't even mention induction today (hurrah!) and everything else is looking good. I'm hoping next growth scan in 4 weeks will be the final scan before bubs is here!

@2mumlife heyy wow can’t believe you’re journey is nearly complete, that’s really good news about the growth scan! My scan is tomorrow morning for the baby. The diarrhoea has eased off a bit so far today. Did my progesterone pessary rectally at 6.45am so just trying to stop myself from opening bowels for as long as possible while it does it’s job. Time is going very slow as I reach 22 weeks. I’m hoping things can get back to normal fairly soon and I can get through the rest of the second trimester smoothly x

@Bluehawaii29 Ah sorry I thought you'd posted yesterday. Keeping fingers crossed for you for tomorrow. Just focus on a week at a time - every week baby stays safely tucked up in there the better your odds are. I was looking on the Tommy's website and even at 31 weeks the survival rate is 95%, and there is only 8-9 weeks until that point x You've done really well to keep the progesterone in that long, it should all be fully absorbed (I think it absorbs within 30mins? if I remember correctly). When I was on cyclogest during treatment cycles I tried that rectally and found it gave me terrible urges to go!

@2mumlife thanks for your message, yeah would be great to get to 31 weeks, just have to take it a week at a time like you said. Luckily managed to hold it in for 8hrs today so hopefully all absorbed well. Just want to fast forward to tomorrows appt now, it’s early morning at 9.30 so hopefully not too much waiting x

@Bluehawaii29 i hope you feel better soon 💐

Can i ask you ladies what you did when stopping your IVF meds, i will be 10 weeks tomorrow and due to stop Cyclogest pessaries, Lubion, Clexane (blood thinner) & progynova (ellest solo). I just feel super worried about stopping, how did you all handle it?

Report
Overlyanxious · 14/07/2022 18:04

@Gigi89x I was on oestrogen and progesterone and was told to stop both at 12 weeks I think. I didn't wean myself off them - just stopped. I felt very anxious but found after about of week with nothing going wrong I felt ok and didn't worry about it anymore. I just found other things to worry about Blush

@Gigi89x hiii wow you nearly done with first trimester that’s great, time seems to be going quite fast I guess. I’m finally 22weeks, got to survive these next 2 weeks till viability age. seems so close yet so far.
regarding the meds just stopped them at once at 12 weeks and all fine. Now of course I’m back on progesterone pessaries for another reason, they just don’t want me escaping them! X
