@arianasky no worries!
The GP will most likely do the same i.e dip the urine and send a sample. I would drink lots of water and see how it goes, if it worsens then either go to GP or Triage. If not then wait for the results.
Also worth considering thrush which can give you some funny symptoms too including itching and feeling uncomfortable down there, as well as increased discharge that may be smelly. But in my area they stop swabbing for that, GP will only say if you think you have thrush to get some thrush treatment from the pharmacy 🤷🏻‍♀️

arianasky · 05/09/2022 15:25

@Arwen7 thank you so much for the explanation I'm guessing it's just stretching/baby being in awkward position. It's the lucolites ( spelt it wrong I think ) that was in my urine so hopefully it is just down to discharge etc. I definitely have thrush it's been recurring through the pregnancy I get a bit of ease for a day or two then it comes back 🙄 thank you for answering all my queries ❤️ you're a star

@arianasky my pleasure 😘 yea thrush is so annoying!

Bridgey8 · 06/09/2022 07:50

So scan yesterday was ok - he's still a bit chunky in the tummy but overall his 77% and currently 7lb. They are thinking natural is fine for birth - but have another scan in 2 weeks to double check and see if he is engaged (if he is he should have made it past the pesky fibroid) xxx

arianasky · 06/09/2022 10:13

@Bridgey8 brill news! Let's hope he engages soon 🙏🏻

Ladies that are past 28 weeks have you had period type cramps at lower bump and in the vagina? I'm guessing it's braxton hicks but of course I'm overthinking and worrying 🙄 I also had diarrhoea yesterday and this morning which adds to the worry, honestly if it's not one worry it's another 🙈

@Bridgey8 brill news! Let's hope he engaged soon! I have my next growth scan on Monday he was 5 and half lb last Monday at 35 weeks. X

So I had my weekly Doppler scan yesterday all was fine except he's moved position and now oblique 😖 doctors started talking about ecv and maybe early cesarian if he's still small 😣 I completely freaked and didn't want to Agree to anything right there so I have until my next growth scan on Monday to see if he's moved and his weight. Then I'm guessing a plan will be made but I will be 37 weeks and they said they could deliver as early as that week. Arghhh 🙈 not what I wanted. Everything is happening last minute and I'm not prepared x

arianasky · 06/09/2022 10:58

@Skl2021 oh I hope he's not too small and has had a growth spurt 💙 I bet that was a bit of a shock for you how are you feeling?

barneymcgroo · 06/09/2022 11:02

@Skl2021 Oops, naughty baby! If it helps at all, I had ECV with ds1. Didn't work, but wasn't painful, just a little uncomfortable. He was firmly breech.

There's also the spinning babies website - all sorts of helpful positions to try to encourage them into the right place. My breech baby also only discovered at 37 weeks.

And if Caesarean, there are lots of ways to make it as gentle and calm as possible. And about a hundred boards on here for 'what you need when you've had a section' (prunes, big pants and someone to carry everything for you).

Skl2021 · 06/09/2022 11:03

@arianasky he had a decent spurt at the last one so hoping he does it again. But obviously if he doesn't move position I have no choice but to have a c section and it's really not what I wanted I'm scared! He's in a different position every week 🤦 but I'm nearly out of time. Everything was just a shock 🙈 think the doctor was just hoping for me to agree to everything right that second but then me waiting does leave everything last minute! 🤞🤞 For me baby moves x

Skl2021 · 06/09/2022 11:07

@barneymcgroo I probably will decline the ecv. Not a good success rate and babies lay where they want too well mine does has been trouble from the start 🤣 he's moved position every scan up to now so hopefully he does it again 🤞 yes I have no clue about c sections and the recovery and pain scares me especially with having two at home that I need to be ok for 😣 will look at Spinning babies x

barneymcgroo · 06/09/2022 11:25

@Skl2021 Will definitely keep 🤞for you!

arianasky · 06/09/2022 12:29

@Skl2021 I have everything crossed for you that he does move 🙏🏻

Thanks guys ♥️ I can't wait to get to the finish line now this pregnancy has been stressful 🙈 xx

Annny27 · 06/09/2022 13:11

@Skl2021 mines flittering between oblique/ transverse and very very occasionally head down.

I too would also decline the ECV (personal choice) and go for csection if they were still in that position by 37/38 weeks.

Also I have heard spinning babies is good too. Basically make sure you have good posture and forward inverse I.e lean forward xxx

Annny27 · 06/09/2022 13:13

@arianasky I have been having bowel cramps throughout - hopefully it's justbecause all your organs are getting squished! Xx

P.s good news about being bale to try vaginal birth if you wanted:)

arianasky · 06/09/2022 20:23

@Annny27 I hope so! 🙏🏻 oh I know I'm really happy about it thank you 💕

Anyone else got excruciating leg/foot cramps? Waking up at night sort of thing? Didn't have this with my first two - blimey it's sore!

Annny27 · 07/09/2022 10:31

@barneymcgroo omg I had it once a few weeks ago, excruciating leg cramp at 3am or something was horrific!!!! I was crying and then a bit scared to go to sleep incase it happened again haha

Raindrops2015 · 07/09/2022 11:37

@arianasky@arianasky I'm 33 weeks. Been getting period like cramps for last week or so. Lots of braxton kicks if I'm active. The tightening seems to be more constant than intermittent. Tightness and pressure in my lower back as well. Wondering if it could mean early labour. Baby is measuring on 80th centile at scans. They want to induce at 39 weeks but hoping to go naturally

Raindrops2015 · 07/09/2022 11:39

@barneymcgroo yes and everytime I go swimming. Absolute nightmare. If you press your toes against the wall and rub the calf like mad it can help it but it is excruciating

Mrs173 · 07/09/2022 11:59

Does anyone have any experience with progesterone in pregnancy after loss? I have previously had two missed miscarriages and whilst the scan on Monday showed everything is good six week baby with heartbeat I obviously can’t help but worry! I am just finishing breastfeeding with my 19-month-old daughter and I know that this can lower your progesterone levels. With my previous losses to do you think this is something I should speak to the GP about?

Margo34 · 07/09/2022 12:07

I am taking Progesterone after 2 losses this year, mine were spontaneous. After a lot of reading and research I wondered whether in my case my prolactin levels were too high from also still breastfeeding my now 23m old toddler and that was perhaps hindering/impacting on progresterone production, particularly as my MC were spontaneous so my body perhaps didn't have enough progresterone to maintain a pregnancy rather than MMC where my body still might act as though pregnant. This is all my personal speculation after a lot of reading though!

Have a read of the PRISM trials on Tommy's website and the NICE guidelines following miscarriage.

I don't believe there is any harm in taking Progesterone so might be worth speaking to your GP, mine was really good about it when I asked.

Annny27 · 07/09/2022 12:09

@Mrs173 I had some spotting at 6 weeks and was prescribed progesterone. I think it's only routinely given if you have any early pregnancy bleeding but it's worth asking gp!

Mrs173 · 07/09/2022 12:30

Thanks @Annny27 my miscarriages have all been missed miscarriages with no bleeding for weeks and weeks so that’s my only worry that bleeding is not a usual symptom for me. Weirdly enough I bled so so much with my daughter I was convinced of a Mc on several occasions with her and yet all turned out perfectly! Such a stressful time!
