Hi all lovely people!

Here’s a thread for all March babies 🥰 I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo with a due date on the 10th of March 2023. I suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks in early March so it feels special that we get our rainbow 🌈 baby around the one year mark!

A little about me: I’m 27, living in Sweden with my fiancé. This is our first child and we’ve really longed for this baby and desperately hoping it will stick this time!

Welcome to this journey, please tell me a little bit about you!

@hipposinacircle how have you been feeling, will you book an early scan?

allthingssparkly · 17/07/2022 17:28

Ladies that had an early scan between 6-8 weeks did you have it TV or Abdominally?

I have booked mine for when I'm 8 weeks based on my LMP.

🤍

Mine was TV at 7+3. I think anything less than 8 weeks (might have been 10 weeks, can't remember exactly) they recommended TV as better images

@hipposinacircle thank you ❤️❤️

Mine was abdominal with a very full bladder and could see pretty clearly.

hipposinacircle · 17/07/2022 18:30

@Mrs2022 not been feeling too bad. Main symptoms have been tender boobs and fatigue so far. How about you?

Yes definitely going to go for an early scan! Will you? No way could I wait until 12 weeks. I'm just trying to work out when's best and see if I'm patient enough to hold out until about 8 weeks so we can see a bit more 🤞🏻

hipposinacircle · 17/07/2022 18:31

Thank you @TeddyBeans - I think I've joined it 😂

allthingssparkly · 17/07/2022 18:39

Thanks @TeddyBeans 😊 How many weeks were you when you had your scan @botbump? X

Mrs2022 · 17/07/2022 18:44

@hipposinacircle same as you fatigue and waves of nausea which I'm surprised at so early in! I did an early scan with my last wee one at 7+3 and was hard to see anything so will think about it and probably try to hold out to at least 8 weeks if I can. It's a long run waiting for the 12 weeks with all the worry isn't it?

mariabombia · 17/07/2022 18:47

Hi ladies just to update you on my scan today. So it went okay, we saw a heartbeat which was amazing but I'm measuring two weeks under where I should be so that's concerning. Should be 7+4 but she measured it at 5+4 😕

The sonographer wouldn't really say if it was a problem or not, she just kept reiterating there's a heartbeat, foetus is in the correct place and everything looks good for 5+4.

First day of lmp was 26/5 and got my positive on the 23/6. I didn't track ovulation but it should have been around 9/6.

So 5+4 weeks makes sense from the day I ovulated but not from the first day of my lmp which I know is how pregnancies are measured but that in itself confuses me as it obviously won't have been growing for the first two weeks before conception.

Anyway, I'm really confused and upset that it may not be progressing well 😭as anyone got any positive stories of similar experiences? Please don't tell me any negative ones as I've already read too many of those today.

Hope everyone else is doing well 💕

There is a heartbeat so that’s a positive sign 🤞🏼
I had my scan, thought I was 6+2 and measured 5+4. and I know my ovulation date and LMP. So there’s always room for error when it’s that small.

Did they tell you what your CRL was?
Also how many days in your cycle as that can also throw off EDD.

allthingssparkly · 17/07/2022 19:22

Thank you @botbump 😊

Booked mine for the 30th July 🤍

motleymop · 17/07/2022 19:25

Suchasmilingsweetheart · 17/07/2022 15:00

So I went for an early private scan at what I thought would be 7+1 but only measuring 6+1, fetal pole and yolk sac seen but no heartbeat. Sonographer was very negative and said highly likely it's not going the right way for me. Offered a rescan in 1 week. An anxious week ahead 😔

I'm sorry to hear this. Roll on next week so you can have answers.

Houseplantlove · 17/07/2022 19:48

@TeddyBeans When you check the Facebook group please don't think I am spam I accidently joined on two different profiles! Just look out for two profiles with the same name 😅

mariabombia · 17/07/2022 20:42

Thanks for your response @RhiRhi1988 ♥️

Yeah they said 3.5mm & my cycles can be anywhere from 26-31 days (that I've noticed since ttc) so it varies.

I know what you're saying , it's just difficult to understand how it could be 2 weeks out ☹️ I really dont know what to think xxx

EMcG3 · 17/07/2022 20:49

Hi @TeddyBeans - I just requested to join the group. I'm JEA, and looking down and to my left in my profile pic.

Just found out I am pregnant yesterday, with my second.

Camia · 18/07/2022 03:08

@mariabombia I had a similar thing happen when I was pregnant with my son. I was supposed to be about 8 weeks when I got my early scan but he was measuring closer to 6 weeks. All they would say was there was a heartbeat but they couldn't really tell anything else. At the next scan he measured a lot closer to what we expected and the rest of the pregnancy was completely normal and he's now a perfectly healthy 2 year old. It's worrying but try to remember that it's so hard to see much and get a good accurate measurement this early. The fact that there's a heartbeat and baby is in the right place are very good signs!

mariabombia · 18/07/2022 07:28

Thank you so much for your response @Camia , hope you are doing well? Its really good to know that there can be a positive outcome. Did you wait for your 12 week scan after that with your son or get another early one ?

You're right, I just have to take comfort in that & hope for the best ♥️ I'm hoping the midwife gets in touch with me soon so I can share these concerns with them.

I'm not sure how I feel about early scans now, don't get me wrong it was truly magical to see our little lentil & see its heartbeat flickering away but I feel just as anxious as before but for a different reasons! Maybe that's just what being a parent feels like & pregnancy is just getting you ready for constant worries lol.

Hope everyone is keeping safe in the heat the next few days☀️

Rainbowbaby2023 · 18/07/2022 13:53

Hi All can I join? 7 weeks pregnant with 2nd after an ectopic pregnancy in Jan. Had my early scan last week and all in the right place with a heartbeat. Back for another scan Thursday week

G0ldfinch · 18/07/2022 14:54

Snap @allthingssparkly I have an early scan booked for 30th July too! Hoping all goes well for us both.

Hi @Rainbowbaby2023 am glad all was well, welcome to the thread

@mariabombia so sorry it’s a worrying time for you, but am glad you have hopefulness and a heartbeat sounds positive 😊

vix_85 · 18/07/2022 16:23

Hi @AnnMii , you and I are in exactly the same stage/date - the worry of the faint HCG lines despite the 1-2 weeks on the clearblue is so real. Here's hoping to the 2-3week progression very soon xx

allthingssparkly · 18/07/2022 16:49

Ah good luck @G0ldfinch I hope all goes well with yours, how many weeks will you be? Not much longer for us to wait 🤍

G0ldfinch · 18/07/2022 17:16

@allthingssparkly I’ll be about 7+2 according to LMP. Tried to book as late as I could after reading all the things about worrying early scans on here, but was also really keen to see how things are going. Hopefully it will be ok!

Camia · 18/07/2022 17:45

@mariabombia I had another early scan 2 weeks later which was much clearer than the first. We got a good look at him bouncing all over the place and the sonographer even said right then and there that she thought he was a boy just from how much he was kicking and flipping around 😂

Early scans definitely have their pros and cons. I'm glad I've gotten them both times now even though we couldn't see a whole lot of this baby either. Knowing at least that there's a heartbeat and they're in the right place is a huge comfort for me. I'm terrified of ectopic pregnancy so I go into horrible anxiety mode until I have an early scan and know.
