Hi all lovely people!

Here’s a thread for all March babies 🥰 I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo with a due date on the 10th of March 2023. I suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks in early March so it feels special that we get our rainbow 🌈 baby around the one year mark!

A little about me: I’m 27, living in Sweden with my fiancé. This is our first child and we’ve really longed for this baby and desperately hoping it will stick this time!

Welcome to this journey, please tell me a little bit about you!

Hi ladies I just found out this week I’m 4 weeks pregnant. I have my first midwife appointment in 2 weeks so I’ll be 6 weeks. Feeling nervous as it’s my first and have underactive thyroid so fingers crossed it all goes well. I’m currently experiencing slight cramping, really sore boobs and nausea on and off especially around sweet foods! My due date according to Flo is around March 15th 2023 😁

Hey hun I just found out today I'm 4 weeks 2 days pregnant with a due date of 15th March too 😁 how are you doing? I didn't need a test to tell me I was pregnant, I've felt it for days!! xx

Laura. · 08/07/2022 01:02

@TeddyBeans thank you! If my sickness gets worse I will def ask for that one... so far so good but early days!

@TheCuriouscakedecorator so glad ur ok, good job dh rang that ambulance!

@Handmaid2019 soo happy u got 2-3wks!! 🎉

MarisaJ · 08/07/2022 06:50

@Stephanie226 Hi! That’s great news 😊 my symptoms so far have been- nausea especially around sweet foods, really tender breasts and cramping in my lower back and abdomen. Have you had any symptoms? I just was worried about the cramping but apparently that’s normal? Xx

havanamama · 08/07/2022 07:06

I’ve had the lower back ache and pelvic pressure too, even in my hips it literally feels like things are stretching down there haha and I read that is normal. :)

Lynsey8293 · 08/07/2022 07:56

Hi Ladies, congratulations to you all, it’s exciting and a little scary too 🙈. I found out last weekend that was expecting my first following extreme fatigue, enhanced sense of smell and sore breasts. Initially did a Poundland one and came positive and have done 2 digitals since one just said pregnant and the other says 2-3 weeks. Going by last cycle, I am due on 15th March. I will be an older first time mummy as just celebrated my 40th so feeling a little anxious about this. Can I ask how has so many people got appointments with midwives already, I phoned my doctor and they are going to give me a quick call today to discuss but is it possible to register with midwife separately and how do I do that? Also is anyone going for early scan and at what stage if you are. Just a little anxious but feel very pregnant and positive just would be good to hear from someone in same boat and I am also waiting to tell family and friends for a couple more weeks so any advice would be much appreciated xx

Sitasita · 08/07/2022 08:02

Ooohhh I also tested positive on Sunday 😁😁 I should be around 4 weeks 5 days so maybe due march 11th.
Very mild cramps, but that's about it. Also scared as it's so early, do you feel like this also?

Sitasita · 08/07/2022 08:05

@Lynsey8293 congratulations 😃

In Ireland we don't get an appointment with midwife until 12 weeks. So I have an early scan booked for roughly 7 weeks 6 days.
I've heard from friends that HB may not be visable during 5 weeks so thought I'd wait a little longer.
Definitely book one for peace of mind x

Lynsey8293 · 08/07/2022 08:13

@Sitasita thank you for advice, I will get one booked for around the 8 week mark too then, it’s just all the waiting, last few days have felt like eternity 🙈 x

Cdoc · 08/07/2022 08:46

Congratulations @Lynsey8293

I think it depends on your area but in my trust you don’t go to the gp first, you self referral straight to the hospital’s maternity unit. They will then send you your appointments starting at the 8 week one. Check your local hospital’s website it should give you some detail.

I had a mmc in May at 9 weeks so I’ve been scared to refer myself incase anything goes wrong with this one, but I got my 3+ weeks on a clear blue digital this morning and by my dates I am 5+1 so I think I’m going to be brave and refer now.

I am also definitely booking a private scan, I know it doesn’t always help but our baby stopped growing at 7 weeks before so I’m going to book a scan for 7-8 weeks 🤞🏼

Dodolovesme · 08/07/2022 09:25

Hi Everyone, can I join!?
I've just got a positive test this morning!
Me (31) and DH (32) have a nearly-17 month old DD already, so this is no. 2!!
So happy and excited, I woke up at 6 needing a wee so took the test then, but then couldn't go back to sleep haha!
According to my dates I'm due the 16th March, DH's birthday!

Lynsey8293 · 08/07/2022 09:29

Congrats to you too and thanks for advice, I am in London so will have a look at local hospitals and see if I can work out where.

sorry about your MMC in May, I can imagine it makes this all the more anxiety provoking but great you got the 3+
Xx

Sitasita · 08/07/2022 09:37

@Cdoc sorry to hear. Its worrying isn't it.
Dis you realise at all? Sorry for asking I'm just a but worried myself, such a long wait until the 12 week period :(

Congratulations on pregnancy 💞

Sitasita · 08/07/2022 09:43

Can I ask what foods everyone is avoiding ?
Ive had a few lattés this week and have been thinking about it since lol
Lattés have the least amount of caffeine but now I'm just rethinking everything lol

ThatsNotMyMuffin · 08/07/2022 09:48

@Sitasita I'm not avoiding anything really bar alcohol, even had some brie earlier in the week 🙊 I think coffee is allowed well with a limit of 2 cups a day I think? A few lattes won't cause any issues!

Hello - I found out last night at 3 weeks and 2 days according to last period. I did a cheap test and thought I was imagining a cross then did a clear blue digital. I’ll be due March 22nd doesn’t feel real at all 👀 me and my partner only discussed ‘trying’ 2 weeks ago so it’s a huge shock. But excited 😄 how is everyone feeling? I have sore boobs but that is it and feel like I’m due on my period. So much so I made my partner get me a pack of tampons the other day 😫 I rung GP and my midwife will contact me in about 2 weeks for a booking appointment

How’s everyone doing? 😃

I think I’ll be 6 weeks tomorrow! This week has been a proper struggle with tiredness, but more so nausea! I haven’t been able to leave the house and it’s been affecting me from the minute I wake up till I go to sleep! Luckily I’ve been able to WFH 😃 today however, I have woke up feeling so much more human! It makes me worry a little but I know symptoms can also come and go…. I’ve registered online so just waiting for first midwife app to come through!

ChloeN · 08/07/2022 11:54

@SJ1994 oh no I really feel for you 🥲 I only feel sick before I eat in the mornings and that’s bad enough! Can’t imagine it all day!
its 2 weeks today since I found out, honestly can’t believe how quick it’s going!

A bit late to the party, but hope you don't mind if I join you all. I got my bfp at 10dpo. Now 12dpo and if all goes well I'm due March 19. Period was due today. Hasn't sunk in yet! And blimey my boobs hurt 😂 is anyone else nervous about the uncertainty until 12 week scan? This will be my first. Congratulations to you all! 💕 March is a great month!!

@TheCuriouscakedecorator you poor thing! Sounds like you're really going through it. Glad your lovely DD came to see you xxx

Cdoc · 08/07/2022 18:32

@Sitasita thank you. I had a feeling, I was spotting dark brown for 9 days and was told that’s fine (which I know in many cases it is) but in mine sadly wasn’t. No other symptoms and the blood never became red.

Try not to worry and congratulations on your pregnancy 💞I’m limiting caffeine (not avoiding as I would struggle!) A latte here and there won’t hurt you 😊

@Lynsey8293 definitely check! I’m in North Kent so my nearest hospital is Darent Valley and they are definitely a self referral. Hope you manage to get it booked 🤍

Anon2324 · 08/07/2022 18:56

This tiredness is REAL im trying not to fall asleep at work right now🤣

Pink15 · 08/07/2022 21:12

@TeddyBeans thanks :) I mean though once you've joined you can see who else is in there and there might be friends of friends etc x
