Starting a new thread due to last one being full. Such a valuable place to share our journey! Not going to tag anyone in case they don't want to be tagged.

Marching towards or in the beginning of the second trimester!

@PinkFizz1 it's reassuring anyway! Nice to not feel alone 😂 The itchy skin is worse when I'm tired, not sure if it's the same as you? I'm drinking heaps of water and have bought a more intensive moisturiser but so far, it just kicks in at random. Even thinking about it now my legs are itchy😬

@Tofu35 it'll be interesting to see if we're having boys so! I have very fair hair so I'm lucky it's not too noticeable from afar but I nearly died in the bath the other evening when I noticed it on my belly - I've never grown hair there in my life!

This pregnancy lark is so glamourous.

Mommabear20 · 08/06/2022 16:08

@PinkFizz1 I've never had that 2nd trimester glow everyone goes on about 😂 my body just hates pregnancy!

AG96 · 08/06/2022 16:32

Anyone else felt any flutters? I'm 14+2 and last night once and this afternoon (both sat relaxing on sofa) I felt a fluttering prodding. Lasted a second. A strange feeling I've never experienced. Both in the same area. So strange, feel like it must be baby. Or could be wishful thinking 😂

@AG96 I've not felt anything so far this time, but felt both others fairly late 😢 so not expecting to feel anything before 18 weeks but would be thrilled if I did 😁

lifechanginglemoncake · 08/06/2022 17:10

I thought I felt something a couple of days ago. A sort of swooshing but it was like movements from later in pregnancy rather than a little bubbly feeling or popping I had early on last time so not sure. I didn't feel baby until 20 weeks with my first but apparently it can be earlier with subsequent pregnancies.

DollyRose · 08/06/2022 17:16

Hi all 👋 new here. Ive still got nausea but dealing with it better so I can finally look at a screen and ponder mumsnet 😁
due 14th December. (measuring a week ahead by my calculations) 2nd baby but will be a big 11 year age gap! By choice ❤️

HayleyBean · 08/06/2022 17:51

Has anyone been having period like pains? I've had mild ones for the last day. They're not terribly awful, just more like background pain. I also seem to have a small bump now at 13 weeks!

Chanel05 · 08/06/2022 17:53

@HayleyBean I'm 11+4 and got these 2 days ago. They felt like (mild!!) contractions. Maybe for 5 minutes in the daytime and then I had a pain overnight that woke me up. Nothing before and nothing since. I think it's to do with the stretching!

Laughingmole · 08/06/2022 18:01

I’m so glad you are all feeling the same. I’m definitely still in the ‘14 weeks and feeling pants’ camp! I had to take Monday off work cos my nausea, which had been a lot better, came back with a bang!
I also had the cramping feeling last week. It keep getting tighter and then releasing?! I went to the GP about it but he didn’t seem concerned. It lasted about 5 days and then stopped… and then the nausea came back!!
Maybe we should all aim for 16 weeks feeling better? 🤞

Jampot36 · 08/06/2022 18:16

This has been a reassuring read!
11+3 and i feel awful.
Also been getting mild crampy pains last couple days which i think is stretching but also what i can only compare to IBS. Bloating, nausea, wind, frequent loo trips. I'm nauseous if i dont eat then worse when i do!

Pinkfig · 08/06/2022 18:17

Just got my NIPT results back, low probability for the all three Trisomies. Roll on nhs 12 week scan on Tuesday so we can finally tell people!

Jampot36 · 08/06/2022 19:01

@Pinkfig we have our 12 week scan tuesday too!

Luckyme2022 · 08/06/2022 19:43

Hi ladies, I finally found this new thread. Was in NYC last week visiting there with my hubby. Great to be able to getaway a little. My energy level is way better now than a few weeks ago.

Had my Nuchal Scan today. Was able to see the baby super active and hear the heartbeat. It was amazing. Baby is measuring 3 days ahead. 12+5, due day is now 16 Dec.

Also got the blood tests for all the three syndromes. Was so surprised that the results were available on the same day. They all came back with low risk. Was such a relieve. Does anyone know why the result for PAPP-A is not recorded and what does this mean?

Any gender guess is welcome 🤗

@Pinkfig so glad for you that everything came back fine too for the NIPT results

I had to have my 4 year old on my lap in a taxi last week and felt the most horrifically strong feeling in my stomach, I don’t know how to describe it - just a giant internal thud - scared the (insert appropriate word here) out of me!

Jaaxe · 08/06/2022 20:05

I’ve had period pains too, also does anyone else have really really sore boobs….I don’t think my boobs have been as sore as this in other pregnancies….it actually feels like when your boobs are engorged with milk in the early newborn days! My bump only shows in an evening but I’m not as far along as most of you x

chardaboo · 08/06/2022 20:53

@Jaaxe mine were agony for about 4 weeks. they aren't sore anymore but have went up 2 cup sizes lol. I hope yours are less sore soon

BuchananBaby · 08/06/2022 21:08

@Pinkfig fantastic news 🥰

@Luckyme2022 gorgeous baby 🥰 your papp-a results aren't given unless they are a concern I didn't even know papp-a existed with my DD.

With DD my heartburn in the 3rd trimester was awful! We'll it's started early this time in absolute bits with it tonight 😩 think I'll he phoning for omeprazol tomorrow

LolaJ87 · 08/06/2022 21:08

@Luckyme2022 what a lovely update! I’d guess boy from your scan?

@Jaaxe I was the same with both sore and sensitive boobs and the “period” pain. I went up a cup size in the first month. Even now my boobs hurt when I take my bra off, but the mild cramps have stopped.

Luckyme2022 · 08/06/2022 23:59

@BuchananBaby thanks for the explanation. Happy to know that no record means nothing to concern about. Hope your heartburn gets better soon. I am lucky enough to having much of that feeling. I read an article on Pregancy+ app that’s having heartburn and baby having a lot of hair is related because both are caused by hormone issue. Was your DD full of hair when he was born? 👦

@LolaJ87 I honestly can’t tell if this is a boy or girl. But I heard that having a boy probably has less symptoms, and so far I must admit that I don’t have a lot of symptoms, not much sore boots or morning sickness. So I am guessing a boy too 👶

Luckyme2022 · 09/06/2022 00:20

@BuchananBaby sorry, meant to say your DD if she had a lot of hair when she was born 👧

Phoenixwings1989 · 09/06/2022 00:42

Bleeding stopped this afternoon and seems a lot heavier now it has returned.

Sorry for graphic images.

Phoenixwings1989 · 09/06/2022 00:43

Meant to add these on last comment

LolaJ87 · 09/06/2022 07:33

@Phoenixwings1989 I really think it’s past time to go the EPU. You’ve had fresh bleeding and pain, please go and get seen.

Jaaxe · 09/06/2022 07:51

I agree I think you should ring Epu

BuchananBaby · 09/06/2022 09:17

@Luckyme2022 yeah DD was born with loads of hair then like 2 weeks later it all fell out and she's 15 months and and still has less hair than she was born with so definitely not worth the heartburn 🙈😂😂

@Phoenixwings1989 definitely time to see EPU, good luck xx
