Starting a new thread due to last one being full. Such a valuable place to share our journey! Not going to tag anyone in case they don't want to be tagged.

Marching towards or in the beginning of the second trimester!

🤣 Thought you meant the baby was doing stunts!!

Chanel05 · 27/06/2022 12:36

@Wanderlust16 I started to feel my daughter at about 17 weeks and it was like sporadic bubbles every few days to start with.

hopefulsunshine11 · 27/06/2022 13:10

I'm almost 18 weeks with my first. I still don't feel anything yet! Hoping I do soon.

PinkFizz1 · 27/06/2022 14:26

Well after my post earlier I think I actually felt something!

Lying deadly still on my back on the bed and felt like a fluttery/rolling type movement deep in my pelvis/nearer my back, then a few minutes later felt a fluttery/heartbeat type movement, only lasted a few seconds, could this be the first flutters?!

Tofu35 · 27/06/2022 14:54

My poor husband has started a recipe box subscription, but he's forgotten that my food preferences change daily just now. Yesterday it was roast potatoes and cajun spiced pork, today I just want lots of "zingy" flavours, lots of acid and citrus things.

All his options for dinner are heavy and cheesy 😭 time to look up recipes to satisfy this urge!

AG96 · 27/06/2022 14:57

@PinkFizz1 sounds like first movements to me. How exciting 😁

Eczema is ruining my life. I am so miserable. Before I was pregnant I was taking immunosuppressants which is the only thing that fixes it. No amount of moisturising puts any moisture in my skin. I have to hoover my skin up from the bed or it's like sleeping on crumbs. If I've been sat down I have to fold my top up and shake the flakes outside. I just don't want to go out in public because I feel so embarrassed and self-conscious. Sorry for the up-nose double-chin shot but just to show how bad my skin is. I've moisturised my face so much today!! Don't know how long I can live like this

I am loving all the movement stories!

I’m worried I’m going to confuse my baby’s first movements with IBS flutters 😂😂😂.

Feeling rough today. Took the day off. Now have a hacking cough. Just exhausted. Seem to be picking up all the bugs just now. 15 weeks tomorrow and this is my second cold since becoming pregnant.

siobhanmt247 · 27/06/2022 16:47

@Orcarain im 15w3d and on my second cold too! I never got a cold before I was pregnant. They seem to coincide with busy work trips away

Orcarain · 27/06/2022 17:16

@siobhanmt247 it’s so annoying!!

Also think it’s down to mask restrictions reducing as well. Everything we haven’t caught in 2 years in catching up with us!

KittyKat1989 · 27/06/2022 17:56

I’m 17+2 and still haven’t felt any movement, despite many pleas to my stomach to “say hello please”! This thread has been reassuring that it will happen in its own time - thank you xxx

Jaaxe · 27/06/2022 19:06

Those with a cold have u any lateral flows to check for covid? It’s just I’ve got covid atm and it’s absolutely floored me this time, like I’ve got the flu, it was nowhere near this bad last time when I wasn’t pregnant. Hope u all feel better soon. Ive taken the week off work but I’ve had it since Friday now and if anything I feel worse, worried I won’t be better by next week for work x

HayleyBean · 27/06/2022 19:38

I'm 15+6 and have not felt anything yet. It's my first so I'm expecting it to be a few more weeks yet. How's everyone's bump looking? I've had a bump for 3 weeks now. I got asked today if I'm sure there's only one in there! Another colleague said I was looking more 'womanly' all over. Reckon that's being polite for packing on the lbs? 😂

DogsAndGin · 27/06/2022 19:40

@AG96 ouch! That’s looks very sore. Have you spoken to the dr about an alternative medication? Or maybe tried diet controlling it? I know you’ve probably tried everything and I’m most likely being useless!

siobhanmt247 · 27/06/2022 19:44

@Jaaxe I've checked but negative both times thankfully. Hope you feel better soon

JC84 · 27/06/2022 19:52

I'm 15+3 and definitely been feeling something every now and then for a while now. Last night (s)he was very wiggly like doing rolls polys 😂 always waits til I get in bed and want to sleep 😴
I've booked a private scan for Saturday to hopefully find out gender and confirm everything still OK as I'm constantly worried with being a tad older this time around!
Yes me @HayleyBean I'm trying desperately to hide it as we still haven't told many people or work but I already can't do my work trousers button up but am worried to some I just look like I've piled on loads of lbs as I was a size 8 10 weeks ago 🙈

Vg92 · 27/06/2022 20:35

Hi, I am new here. I am 17 week today. I am about to wear a ECG holter monitor for 24 hours. I know it is silly but I am concerned it may hurt the baby. I had a miscarriage last year and I am very worried now. What is your opinion? Thanks

AG96 · 27/06/2022 21:39

@DogsAndGin I'm under dermatology and got an appointment next Friday so hopefully they can help but I've tried lots, including light therapy etc. Think it's just my immune system unfortunately 😔

@HayleyBean what a cute bump! I have one but just makes me look chunkier 🤣🤣

@Vg92 I've had one ECG and due to have another tomorrow. Nothing happened to baby the first time so think it's perfectly safe. I've had 24 hour ones and 72 hour ones, the worst part is sleeping covered in cables and how itchy it gets under the stickers 😂

Wandered round the shops today in search of anywhere that did maternity, but a no - sure there were loads of places that did in store last time I was pregnant. Ordered online as I’m having to undo my jeans or pull leggings to under my tummy to be comfortable.

Regretting the walking round though, as what I assume is pgp from the handy Google doctor is getting worse, I had to crawl up the stairs this afternoon!

Sdoubleyou · 27/06/2022 23:26

@HayleyBean, I understand how you feel, I am enormous for where I am in my pregnancy, 15w6d, and my original size! I'm 163 cm and was 9.5 stone pre-pregnancy and now I have ballooned! I'm more fascinated than anything though. I've mostly accepted that my body will do what it will do, but it's been an adjustment as I've always been on the slimmer side. (I hope I'm not being insensitive, I know some ladies on here have higher BMIs). So far it's just in the tummy and a little in the boobs. Everything else seems exactly the same.

Jaaxe · 28/06/2022 08:53

@Sdoubleyou you have a lovely bump and figure!

Has anyone weighed themselves to see how much they’ve put on since pre pregnancy, I know I’ve put on a lot but haven’t faced the scales to see actually how much!

Tofu35 · 28/06/2022 09:25

@Sdoubleyou it's mostly my boobs just now, only a small bump. I tried on a nice summer dress and I looked like I was an extra in a carry on film, it'll be nice when my figure evens out again and the bump matches (and overtakes) the cleavage 😂

siobhanmt247 · 28/06/2022 09:58

@Jaaxe im up to a stone at 15 weeks. I don't even think I've been eating that badly. Hoping that it's a combination if my thyroid issues and lack of running!

CP22 · 28/06/2022 10:09

Morning all, it’s a baby filled day for me today!
Have my 16 week midwife appt this morning, and this evening we have a gender scan booked. Oh and then attempting to do work in between both of these haha. Nervous belly over here….
Hope everyone is ok xx

Vg92 · 28/06/2022 10:39

@AG96 thank you very much! It really helps! All the best!
