Starting a new thread due to last one being full. Such a valuable place to share our journey! Not going to tag anyone in case they don't want to be tagged.

Marching towards or in the beginning of the second trimester!

@RSmamaa yours is very low risk, that’s similar to what mine was when I was in my 20s! High is 1 in 150 which if you got 1 in 150 that’s still less than 1% chance tbf x

AG96 · 26/06/2022 09:23

Anyone else feel like baby can get in positions that are uncomfortable for you yet? I'm 16+6 today and yesterday and today feel like he is pushing on one side of my pelvis so I have to lean the other way to get him to move 😂

Mommabear20 · 26/06/2022 13:32

@AG96 not really uncomfortable yet, don't feel anything but fat tbh! 😂 but some days I feel like baby is laying with its back right up against my bladder as I spend half of those days in the bathroom peeing the tiniest bit each time 😂🤦‍♀️

AG96 · 26/06/2022 13:47

@Mommabear20 I've had that as well, if I lay a certain way it's like he squishes my bladder and I instantly need a wee 😂 unsure if the discomfort I'm having today is more pelvic stretching but I can't tell lol

@AG96 I feel uncomfortable at times but not sure if it's to do with baby position! As soon as I stand up though I need a wee 😂

Hi everyone. I was on the last thread but went on holiday and only just found this one so afraid I'm very behind and won't read through all 30+ pages! Since I last posted, we've had our scan which all looked good. Due date changed to 20th Dec. I went over with my daughter so preparing for a Christmas day baby. Our test results came back low risk. My heartfelt condolences to those who have had bad news.

Orcarain · 26/06/2022 22:18

Hi everyone.

I had an absolutely wonderful day today celebrating my mum’s 60th birthday. We took her to the Van Gogh exhibit in Edinburgh. One thing that did happen was at one point I began having a visual migraine (no headache) . It’s really freaked me out. I’ve no come home and felt like I’m having morning sickness nausea again (I’m 14+5).

Anyone else experienced this?

Nutella99 · 26/06/2022 22:37

I get visual migraines from time to time, without a headache but do feel wiped out afterwards and occasionally nauseous. It usually comes on a couple of hours after I've exerted myself more than usual/possibly dehydrated. I haven't had one since getting pregnant, however I don't exert myself as much these days!

Apparently they're nothing to worry about, so I wouldn't be concerned if it's a one off. Maybe just something to bring up to midwife or doctor if you keep getting them.

Mommabear20 · 27/06/2022 07:21

Got my 16 week appointment today 😁 (16+5) hoping to hear the heartbeat 💕

Currently suffering with a god awful cough and sore throat (have tested for Covid and is negative thankfully!) but also annoying as can't take anything for it while pregnant 🤦‍♀️😣

How's everyone else doing?

lifechanginglemoncake · 27/06/2022 07:23

@Mommabear20 snap. Got my 16 week appointment this morning and also 16+5 today. Thankfully not unwell. Hope you feel better soon. It's miserable not being able to take anything.

I'm doing ok but had a headache all yesterday that I just couldn't shift. Thankfully gone this morning. We started doing major moving bedrooms around and organising all the stored baby stuff from the 3 year old. There is SO MUCH STUFF!

AG96 · 27/06/2022 08:40

Yesterday we did a huge haul out of the second bedroom ready to become a nursery. It had become the dumping ground 😂

I'm 17 weeks today and last night when I was in bed I felt so much movement when I laid down, like a pressure and butterfly wings. I put my hand on it, just above my pubic area kind of in line with my pelvic area and I felt a prod! I got DP to put his hand there and he also felt a flick like feeling. It was amazing. Kind of worried something might be wrong though to feel movements so early with my first pregnancy

OP posts:
lifechanginglemoncake · 27/06/2022 08:44

I don't think that's too early to feel movement. I've had some small feelings the last week or two but nothing big. Felt it at 20 weeks with my first but probably had some slightly earlier. Midwife seemed to think anywhere from 15-25 weeks is normal depending on placenta position etc.

Mommabear20 · 27/06/2022 08:59

@AG96 I'd say feeling early is good! Baby is obviously strong and wriggling around loads! I'd be more concerned if you hadn't felt anything after 25 weeks.

I've not felt anything yet, but both others have been remarkably lazy in the early days so not expecting this one to be any different 😂

Tofu35 · 27/06/2022 09:04

@Mommabear20 @lifechanginglemoncake two scans today! How are you both feeling? Hope we can see your pictures when you get home :)

@AG96 I did an overhaul of my wardrobe last night, tried on summer dresses and things and needed to be brutal about what was likely to fit over the next few months! Went to the shops after and sized up on some elasticated waistband trousers and shorts (in that nice 16wk spot where too small for maternity trousers but regular trousers are getting snug!).

lifechanginglemoncake · 27/06/2022 09:09

@Tofu35 just a midwife appointment and listening today I think so no pictures for me. Fingers crossed all good.

AG96 · 27/06/2022 09:23

@Mommabear20 @lifechanginglemoncake it was amazing to feel and made me so happy. I've been feeling slight movements for a week and a half but they are getting stronger every day. I had a private scan and they said my placenta at the back so assume that's why I'm feeling stuff?

@Tofu35 I had a huge clear out of clothes as well. I had stuff I've never worn and forgot about 🙈 got loads to donate and threw out about 7 bin bags of stuff not worth donating. My bump is also growing, I have to have stretchy waistbands under the bump or very stretchy leggings over the bump

lovesT · 27/06/2022 09:25

@AG96 I felt at 15 weeks with my daughter but think it was a while after before she could be felt from outside. I'm sure I've been feeling movement though and I'm now 17+3 😊 hoping for some stronger more obvious ones soon!

AG96 · 27/06/2022 10:09

@lovesT I don't think it'll be a regular thing yet feeling him from the outside. I just felt movement and pressure like he was close to the surface and put my hand there and felt like someone did a little flick from the inside. Such a hard feeling to describe lol

OP posts:
PinkFizz1 · 27/06/2022 10:23

I’m absolutely desperate to start feeling movement! I’m 16+6, at my private scan the other day she said my placenta was high up and at the back so I’m hoping it’ll be soon 🤞🏼

lovesT · 27/06/2022 10:54

@AG96 everyone is different, but it's so lovely feeling movement isn't it! That's so lovely. I keep putting my hand there but then the movement stops of course 😅

Jaaxe · 27/06/2022 11:08

@AG96 i felt movements really early with all 3 of mine around 15/16 weeks, sometimes I think I’ve felt it this time but seems a little early I’m only 14 weeks so probably just wind 🤣

Wanderlust16 · 27/06/2022 11:23

I’m only 16 and a bit weeks with my first so I’m not expecting to feel anything just now but I’m curious, how would you describe what those feelings feel like?

AG96 · 27/06/2022 11:53

@Wanderlust16 This is also my first so not sure what I feel is normal but sometimes feel like a pressure inside as if like something is pushing from the inside out. It's very gentle and it lasts longer than a fart bubble 😂 last night I was laid on my left side and then I felt fluttering and the pressure. Placed my hand where the pressure was and felt a little flick/prod on my hand. Movements are low and pelvic level sometimes slightly higher. Hope I'm not imagining it but it's been happening for a week and a half and seems to becoming more noticeable

@Tofu35 was just a midwife stuntmen hit here too, baby was being a little wiggle so to a while to find the heartbeat but was there and sounded strong 😁

lifechanginglemoncake · 27/06/2022 12:22

All good here too. Took a while to find the heartbeat as baby wasn't co-operating but all good when they found it.
