Starting a new thread due to last one being full. Such a valuable place to share our journey! Not going to tag anyone in case they don't want to be tagged.

Marching towards or in the beginning of the second trimester!

@HayleyBean I wouldn't be worrying with those odds! That's a really great result!

JC84 · 15/06/2022 18:53

@GabsK92 YES ME!! I have to make all my plans for a morning or wear a hoody if it's the afternoon 😂
Very round by mid afternoon and into the evening, just look a bit podgy in a morning 🐷
I'm 13+5

DogsAndGin · 15/06/2022 18:54

@Mommabear20 I am completely with you! I can’t cope with London either

BuchananBaby · 15/06/2022 18:55

@stuntbubbles why do we do that in the third trimester 🙈😂 I remember out weeding the garden about 2 days before I went in to labour- it's not been weeded since 😂😂

@Tofu35 if DP doesn't make my dinner I'll have cereal or something 🙈 he's at band tonight but he made me dinner before he went 😁

@Jaaxe Google lightning crotch! It's so common but bloody awful 🙈

@Sdoubleyou I honestly admire your restraint! I'd have peeked in the car on the way home 😂😂

JC84 · 15/06/2022 18:56

@Ababy0506 that's great advice, I've finally got to the end of my first bottle which made me nearly throw up every day due to the size and potent flavour of them. I'm now on chewable gummies with are taken main meal and slightly more bearable to the gag reflexes 😂

Mommabear20 · 15/06/2022 19:53

@Jaaxe I had that with both previous pregnancies, but luckily not until the last few weeks! 😂 is awful isn't it?!

Babyghirl · 15/06/2022 19:59

Hey ladies hope I can join yous, I have just turned 12 weeks I'm still walking on eggshells, have already had 4 scans 3 with the epu and a private one yesterday, I have had 4 miscarriages and never have I seen a heartbeat or growth so glad to get this far.

Still waiting on my 12 week scan date and booking appointment as I never filled form out to last week as I never pictured getting this far.

Still getting the odd cramp but read thats norm around this time as things r starting to move up, hoping baby continues to grow as it will be my first much wanted baby.

tasha4eva10 · 15/06/2022 19:59

Can it be possible to be anaemic so early on? I'm 12 weeks but still not over the exhaustion! I expected it to be easier by now but daily I'm finding I'm getting my DD sorted for school and as soon as she goes I'm sleeping until 12ish! It's getting me down how much I am sleeping but feeling like I can't do without that nap either.

Hey so I got my test results back for Down's syndrome & Edward's etc. Down's came back as 1:7729 and Edward's as 1:20,000. I know the Down's is a good result and cause for concern would be 1:150 but I can't help but worry!

How long did it take to get your results back?

Ababy0506 · 15/06/2022 20:33

@jc84 @DogsAndGin
anything is worth a try isn’t it…at this point if someone told me to stand in my street on one leg naked to make the nausea go away I would 🫠 I have my dating scan next Friday…that’s helping me through knowing the second trimester is near 🙃

Amphibian94 · 15/06/2022 20:37

@Babyghirl hey! I had a similar thing. 4 miscarriages and countless appointments. Had 3 scans at epu and everything was positive, then had my 12 week scan which was a massive milestone for us! 16 weeks now so the furthest we have been. It's impossible to not worry, but getting to each milestone has been nice x

JC84 · 15/06/2022 20:56

@Ababy0506 🤣🤣🤣 I'm not sure I'd go that far 🤣🤣
Had my scan last Friday and was dated at 13+0, I am feeling much better this week but I still get a wave of nausea if my stomach isn't fed every 2.5 hrs and I if I waited past that I think I would actually be sick again and I'm more than happy not to be puking in the carpark, office bin or toilet ever again!

Yes, you could be anaemic at anytime. Did you get the results of your bloods from the booking appointment?

Babyghirl · 15/06/2022 23:35

@Amphibian94
It's awful isn't it but this is a milestone I have never got to so I'm thankful for that, congratulations on making it to the 16 qwek mark. X

HayleyBean · 16/06/2022 07:10

@Chanel5 - it took 15 days to get the letter in the post. I'll be 35 when the baby is due which has been taken into consideration for my numbers

PinkFizz1 · 16/06/2022 09:31

Finally got my chromosome results back! Not got a letter yet but been checking badger notes every day. Took 2 weeks.

edwards & pataus 1 in 46,500
downs 1 in 58,000

🥳🙏🏼

Such a relief.

AG96 · 16/06/2022 10:30

Glad to hear people have been having good news with their screening results. I certainly know when mine came through it was a relief. Hope we continue in the direction of good news!

I'm toying with when to have my sex scan... The scan place does sex scans from 15 weeks. I'm 15+3 today so can go anytime. Wondering if I should do it sooner or wait until I'm closer to the 20 week scan. I had a scan at 13+5 so only like 2 weeks ago. How many weeks are you planning to have yours if you are having one? 😊

siobhanmt247 · 16/06/2022 10:30

I had my bloods for the trisonomy tests last Thursday and just checked my pregnancy notes online they were in so worth checking their first if you want to know before your letter

Chanel05 · 16/06/2022 10:58

@siobhanmt247 how do you check your notes online?

siobhanmt247 · 16/06/2022 11:25

@Chanel05 did you have to register with the “mypregnancynotes” or badger notes app when you had to register the pregnancy? If so they're recorded on that. I didn't get a notification I just had a snoop around

Sdoubleyou · 16/06/2022 11:42

We're having a little boy!! 💙💙 I knew it! Told my extended family yesterday, it was really nice to see how genuinely excited everyone was. I'm the eldest of ten and the fourth to have kids. Glad to hear a lot of good news, it's fun going through these milestones with you all!

Orcarain · 16/06/2022 11:44

@Jaaxe me too! I had a search on here and there's many a post about "fanny daggers" - I get it mostly when I've been to tap class.

Luckyme2022 · 16/06/2022 11:57

@Babyghirl @Amphibian94 I am similar too. Got 3 miscarriages and never heard any heartbeat before. I also got 3 scans this time with EPU and another 2 private scans. Now I am almost 14 weeks. It’s an amazing milestone for us 🥰 hopefully our little ones will continue to grow healthily.

@PinkFizz1 congrats. What a relief. Your numbers are indeed very good. I got 1:300 for downs. It is still higher than the 1:150 threshold they told me which is considered as high risk if anything lower than this. But my number compare to yours does sound quite low.

Would anyone suggest to do a private NIPT or harmony test? I was thinking of doing it, but worried about the risk to increase miscarriages. I saw they said it can increase 1% miscarriages rate.

I am planning to still tell my parents and in law parents on Father’s Day. Thought it is nice to give a good news to them in this occasion. But I am anxious about the Down’s syndrome index I got.

AG96 · 16/06/2022 11:58

@Sdoubleyou congratulations 😁💙

PinkFizz1 · 16/06/2022 12:04

@Luckyme2022 Your results are also reassuring, I know it seems like a much higher chance when someone else has higher numbers but remember you’re low risk, nothing has flagged up as remotely abnormal with those results. Personally I would only do the NIPT if I had anything higher than 1 in 150, but I can completely understand why you might be considering it ❤️
