Starting a new thread due to last one being full. Such a valuable place to share our journey! Not going to tag anyone in case they don't want to be tagged.

Marching towards or in the beginning of the second trimester!

Hi...had our scan...i was so nervous but all good. We have a wriggly little chunk. Still dating 4 days ahead so officially due 23re December! Anyone want to guess gender? I havent a clue!

@Jampot36 looks girly to me! Will you be finding out?

@Wanderlust16 I would be surprised if they told you the sex. I asked the sonographer to take some pics of the genital area at my 12 weeks scan (done at 13+4) and she was quite cross with me for asking 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ Turns out, some people will abort if they don’t get the sex they wanted, so they don’t tell people until 20 weeks in an effort to deter them.

Just been texting my midwife as I realised it's been over 2 weeks and haven't had anything back about the screening we had at the 12 week scan (you all reminded me!). I'm not worried but thought I'd chase it up. I also asked about my 16 week appointment as I haven't heard anything and I'm 16 weeks on Friday and she said it's over the phone so that's a bit disappointing! Thought I might hear the heartbeat then but oh well. I have my 20 week scan booked so at least have more exciting one to look forward to!

At least I'm pretty sure I'm feeling flutters ❤️

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and feeling utterly rubbish! My nausea seems to have come back after 2-3 weeks of it subsiding dramatically! I'm still taking my antisickness tablets but even they don't seem to be touching it much 😭 is anyone having a resurge of 1st trimester symptoms?

@BuchananBaby hope everything is ok! I’m also in Scotland as well. Hoping it’s not long 🤞

@AG96 my husband wants to but I'm not bothered, I'd be ok with waiting for a surprise. I think because he really wants to we probably will.

@Orcarain yeah all is good I have low papp-a which means I may or may not have a small baby and need extra scans that's all 🙂 it shouldn't take long I think if it wasn't for the bank holiday it would have been a week. With DD they just put the results on the badger app so keep an eye on that 😁

@PinkFizz1 definitely a safe space and completely normal feeling
I wanted a girl really badly for my first so we didn't find out as I didn't want to be disappointed etc and when he came out I just loved him so much I didn't care one bit he was a boy just that he had all his fingers and toes and was breathing (once the cord was unwrapped from twice round his neck 🙈)
I'd love love a girl this time as I'm 38 now so unlikely I'll fit another one in but I can't wait so have to find out when I can at 16 weeks 😂

Is anyone else's stomach hard at the top? Mine has been since about week 12 and just feels like it's getting bigger. I'm plus size (20) and people have already mentioned I'm showing at 15 weeks. Feel like because the top is hard it's a round bump 😂

@AG96 mines hard at the bottom but i read from week 12 that the uterus starts to move up? The top part of my stomach is hard when I'm bloated but I'm definitely looking rounder and have been for a while...I think we all show differently at different times.

@AG96 mines only hard at the bottom also, I am just 12 w 2 days though so bit behind you.

@AG96 yes me! I’m a 16/18 and it’s the top of my stomach that is really round and firm, it does make it look like a big proper bump already! Although I noticed the bottom of my stomach is slightly less flabby feeling this week so it might be catching up 🤣

@AG96 yes mine is 😊 I'm 16 weeks on Friday but can feel the top of the bump if that makes sense 🤨

@AG96 I'm is from about 9am 😂 but it's pretty squishy when I first wake up 😂

Glad it seems to be normal, I was a bit worried it was too early to feel like I had some semblance of a bump going on lol

It's crazy isn't it, feels way too soon. Mine has been like that since I was around 9 weeks, I'm 12 now and this last few days have been feeling the baby move which has been confirmed by the consultant so that's a nice reassurance to have now!

I have my 12 week scan next Tuesday which I can't wait for and will also be having the DS checks etc how long has it been for people to get the results back? Do they phone you?

My scan was on a Monday. They said if the results were high risk they would call by Thursday and if they were low risk they'd get uploaded to badger notes within 10 days. Got them the following Monday on badger notes.

Is anyone doing anything for fathers day? Kind of tempted to get a card with scan photo but also scared to jinx it.

@Jampot36 I just got my husband a card saying from bump. Thought it was cute.

Anyone else feel like nausea is creeping back in?! I've had the flu this past week so hoping it's just the tail-end of that... but feeling like I'm going to be sick again 😕.. I'm coming up 16 weeks, thought the sickness was long behind me lol.

I’ve got my scan this morning and the scanxiety is manifesting as a migraine, bleurgh. London is hot as balls and just coming back from the nursery run made me throw up, with the added head pounding factor. So envious of those of you who are past the “feel like a swamp creature” stage!

@stuntbubbles I just had a migraine too, didn't know what I was allowed to take for it so I just did the old "dark room, plenty of water, nap when I can" method. Took three days to shift! Misery.

@Jampot36 I’ve ordered a Father’s Day card from the bump, hoping it arrives on time!

@DogsAndGin Had my response from the Nubologist, came back as 85% confidence of being a boy. The explanation was really interesting so thanks for the heads up about them! We will soon find out if right haha

I’ve been in Greece for the past 10 days which has been lovely. Aside from being sick every day apart from one 🙈. Back to normal life tomorrow and pretending to be a functioning human..
