Anyone due February? I know it’s super early but I’ve had my BFP at what I think is 8DPO so it looks like I’ll be due the first few days of February!

Is anyone planning on attending the baby show or the baby and toddler show? I’m thinking to attend one of them, not sure which one yet though! I’m a bit confused by the dates and things but I’ll probably go to the baby show in London in October!

Oooh! I would love to go to that! It's pretty nearby for me.

Onebabyandamadcat · 31/05/2022 09:43

We went to the baby and toddler show when I was pregnant with my DD. It was great. Lots of wacky stuff but also lots of good deals - we got our Joie 360 car seats (one for each car) with something like Β£175 each off them

Onebabyandamadcat · 31/05/2022 09:45

Both tests today, I'm utterly confused. I've had positives on the cheapies since Friday. Hoping it's just a faulty digital. They're too expensive to be giving me this sort of panic πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ

@Onebabyandamadcat sorry your confused! I’d maybe wait a few days and test again, but I’m sure the levels just aren’t quite high enough for the digital to give you a pregnant result! You shouldn’t be too far away from getting a positive on there though, you should definitely by Thursday! Sending love though! It’s so tough isn’t it😌!

@roarfeckingroarr it looks really good doesn’t it! I think I will go, even if it is a 4 hour drive each way! Maybe sneak an overnight stay in the night before the show! Ahh okay! @Onebabyandamadcat There’s the baby show in London and the baby and toddler show in Manchester! Now to decide which one to attend! πŸ€”

The tests were shouting at me from the cupboard so I did another just incase. I think I didn't dip my first test for long enough. This looks much better. I'm stepping away from the tests now πŸ˜‚

Bet you’re so glad it called out πŸ˜† congratulations!

Onebabyandamadcat · 31/05/2022 12:50

πŸ˜‚ so glad! I've locked the others away though. Literally just peeing my money away now.

Onebabyandamadcat · 31/05/2022 12:51

@Peonies94 how're you? Has the spotting stopped?

Peonies94 · 31/05/2022 13:09

@Onebabyandamadcat yayy!! I thought your line was really pink to have not pregnant! When’s your due date? My spotting has stopped! It was only a little bit so I’m praying I don’t see anymore now 🀞! I could really do without the stress of that!!

I'm so glad your spotting has stopped! Keeping my fingers crossed for you. It's horrible to have spotting - it starts to consume all your thoughts!

So did I - I thought my test was looking really strong. I was so chuffed and hopeful that this is a sticky bean after my losses. Seeing "not pregnant" was such a shock. I'm so glad I checked again.

According to my calculator I'm due the 7th of Feb but DD was ten days late (after 41 hours of active labour πŸ™„) so I wouldn't be surprised if it's later. Lots of hurdles to clear before then though, trying to not even think about that yet - I just want a good viability scan just now 🀞🏻🀞🏻

runningandrunning · 31/05/2022 13:54

Congratulations to all of you! I've been lurking for a week after getting a clear positive test on CD24 last Tuesday and really not believing it for a few days. Missed period at the weekend and progressively darker tests so think I must have ovulated seriously early in my cycle. Due date 2nd or 3rd February but will likely have a c section scheduled for mid January due to previous birth complications. Third pregnancy but second living child hopefully (our DS2 only lived in NICU for 72 hours a little over a year ago). Trying to remain cautiously calm whilst having a positive mindset that that this might actually be happening and the rollercoaster we've got ahead of us. I have zero symptoms now at just over 4 weeks and honestly wouldn't know I was pregnant apart from positive tests and missed period. Anyone else similar? I remember feeling rough right from the start in previous pregnancies.

ceebee21 · 31/05/2022 14:36

Congratulations all, can I tentatively join?!

Just got a BFP yesterday....baby no. 2!

WingingIt09 · 31/05/2022 15:16

I am so tired! It's hit me like a brick wall this afternoon. Barely keeping my eyes open to focus on what I'm doing at work πŸ₯±πŸ₯±
Didn't expect to be this tired this early - I'm only 3 weeks and I had a good nights sleep last night!

roarfeckingroarr · 31/05/2022 15:46

@WingingIt09 ME TOO. That bone crushing tiredness has kicked in today. I have to go to a networking dinner tonight (that I can't even drink at) and all I want to do is sleep.

Congrats to everyone so far!

drpowk · 31/05/2022 16:37

@ceebee21 were you a feb 19 mum???

drpowk · 31/05/2022 16:38

I didn’t get loads of tiredness last time (although I have a condition that causes fatigue so am quite careful with how much I do/am used to the feeling maybe) but did get a tonne of nausea. Definitely been feeling dizzy/lightheaded and general CBA to move though.

WingingIt09 · 31/05/2022 18:25

@roarfeckingroarr I don't think the caffeine withdrawal will be helping me either πŸ™ˆ usually have several cups of tea a day and today I've only had decaf

drpowk · 31/05/2022 19:39

@WingingIt09 you can get half caf coffee (there’s a company called bad hands coffee that do a nice one and their decaf is nice too). I’m allowing myself two cups of half caf a day so 1 coffee total. There’s loads of good decafs around these days but still definitely feeling the loss of the caffeine!

I already get super tired around DDs bedtime and today has been torturous. Got a feeling she’s not going to sleep either.

WingingIt09 · 31/05/2022 20:03

Thanks, that's a great idea for coffee drinkers. I'm more of a tea drinker and I don't mind decaf tea so just sticking to that most days so I can still have Pepsi. I just miss the caffeine πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

stockpilingallthecheese · 31/05/2022 20:15

Me! According to various apps should be due 6th Feb. Had a chemical recently though so not sure how confident I'm feeling! First baby so excited but equally terrified/wondering what on earth we are doing Grin

GeometricCurtain · 31/05/2022 20:47

Struggling so hard to cut down on caffeine. I'm a tea drinker, most days that's all I drink! Does anybody know if I switch to decaf if I should still watch how much I'm drinking? I am trying to drink water but I'm not a lover of cold drinks generally.

I don't think I can wait until 12 weeks (all being well) to tell anyone. We plan to tell my DS first, then parents, then everyone else as and when it happens. I haven't contacted GP yet so still have that to do next week

YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch · 01/06/2022 00:05

Does anyone else suffer with cramping?

With my first child I got really painful cramping, a lot worse then period pains where you can't talk due to the pain that would come and go. The doctors gave me no answers and it eventually disappeared around 6 weeks.

I feel like I'm having a milder version of this. Cramping and lower back pain, wakes me up in the night. I'm currently lying in bed with a hot water bottle on my stomach unable to sleep. It never lasts more than 10-15 Minutes but each time it convinces me something bad is happening
