Anyone due February? I know it’s super early but I’ve had my BFP at what I think is 8DPO so it looks like I’ll be due the first few days of February!

My second biggest (after there being a heartbeat and all fine) worry right now is weaning DC1 (19 months). I have no interest in tandem feeding and I know the last thing I'm going to want to do once my boobs get sore. No symptoms yet at all here.

nestinginnl · 25/05/2022 22:44

Hello! Very early here, not even 4 weeks yet but I felt nauseous tonight and took a test, DS is only 9 months old so this is a happy accident πŸ˜… we tried so hard to conceive him and then for this one had one cycle date miscalculation a few weeks ago (thought it was safe) and here we are! 2 under 2 πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Congratulations everyone πŸ₯°β€οΈ how are we all feeling?

Think I'm due about February 5th.

Jessiecat91 · 26/05/2022 07:44

Hi all, first time posting but long time lurker!
Got my first BFP on Monday, 6 days before my period after I dreamt the night before I was pregnant! Had to take a pregnancy test of course and straight away 2 lines came up really clearly. Still can’t quite believe it!
Think i’m about 4 weeks pregnant and roughly due around 4th Feb.
so far no symptoms…but expecting that to change soon πŸ™ˆ

Cherrymarket · 26/05/2022 09:12

Congratulations to new joiners.
I am starting to feel like I’ve lost my appetite, like I did last time. I am due 31st jan but I think February is probably more accurate.

@roarfeckingroarr I have a 19m old as well, I find myself worrying about her rather than this pregnancy. I even googled β€œbenefits of a sibling” last night to reassure myself I haven’t ruined her life 🀣 completely irrational.

roarfeckingroarr · 26/05/2022 09:34

@Cherrymarket I'm due one day before you at current calculation, and I absolutely get what you mean. This was a surprise (we have had sex once this year. Once πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ) and I spent the first few days feeling absolutely awful for him. I'm now frantically googling how to stop breastfeeding a very cuddly, breast loving toddler. I'm an only child and wish so, so much I had a sibling, so I think so long as we take our PFBs on the journey with us and make sure they always feel loved and included, we're giving them a massive gift ❀️.

roarfeckingroarr · 26/05/2022 09:35

@Jessiecat91 that's exactly why I tested - two nights of dreaming I was pregnant and I just knew!

Cherrymarket · 26/05/2022 09:50

@roarfeckingroarr haha same. Sex is much less of a priority with a toddler in your life πŸ™ˆ

I feel very lucky but also very scared πŸ˜‚
My siblings are the best gift my parents gave me so I’m hoping my DD feels the same and doesn’t hate this one πŸ˜‚

I tested because I was waking at 4am, the same insomnia I had last time. So strange isn’t it, how our bodies tell us!

roarfeckingroarr · 26/05/2022 10:00

@Cherrymarket Ha! I tested because I saw a pregnancy test in my bathroom cupboard (the doors of which were open and contents scattered because of hurricane toddler) and after my pregnancy dreams (both times I dreamt of twins, let's hope that's not true!) I thought I would put my mind at rest despite my period not being late. And yeah, pregnant! DP was shell shocked in a "im not not happy, I just never expected this, don't worry, just give me a few min for this to sink in" way, then rang from work the next morning to say how happy he is and apologise for not being instantly over the moon.

Has your toddler been clingier this week? I swear mine knows. He's a clever little thing.

Cherrymarket · 26/05/2022 12:01

@roarfeckingroarr no she’s been pretty much her normal self, although seems to have grown a foot overnight!

my DH said he was a bit excited last night and it made me realise my overwhelming feeling is nerves 😬
think it must be different when it’s not your responsibility yet!

Chelswels · 26/05/2022 21:32

Congratulations! I’m due in February also!!! I’m currently 3-4 weeks and only found out last night!πŸ‘€β€οΈ

Chelswels · 26/05/2022 21:32

Congratulations! I think I’m due February 5th too πŸ‘€β€οΈ

Peonies94 · 27/05/2022 03:47

Congratulations ladies!!

has anyone made contact with gp/midwife or are you waiting until your further along? I think I’ll call next week as I have a few days off and have been struggling to get through! I’m only 4 weeks +3 anyways, so probably better to do it next week!

Jessiecat91 · 27/05/2022 07:32

Yeeh I’m going to wait until next week before contacting the GP where I will be 5 weeks. It’s so hard finding out so early though, feels like a long way to go haha

Cherrymarket · 27/05/2022 08:03

Here, you have to wait until you’re 6 weeks so I will be calling end of next week, all being ok!

roarfeckingroarr · 27/05/2022 10:43

Congratulations!

I've self referred to my local hospital, where I had a fantastic experience having my DS. I've also booked a private scan for Wednesday 8 June because I cannot wait much longer before finding out all is going well.

roarfeckingroarr · 27/05/2022 10:44

Where is everyone based in the uk? I'm SW London.

I made contact yesterday but my local doctors no longer have a midwife based there so I had to call a community midwife and self refer. She’s asked me to call back around 13th June when im 6 weeks πŸ₯°

RootsHere · 27/05/2022 20:08

Hello ladies! Just found out we’re pregnant after a year of ttc, so really ecstatic and equally scared to even breathe πŸ˜‚
We have an 18 month old girl already, so this pregnancy won’t be nearly as relaxed but cannot wait!
Booked a midwife appointment for early June when I’ll be 6 weeks pregnant.

Does anyone know when is the earliest NHS does the first scan assuming no complications? We’ll be away during 12-13 weeks so I hope they can do one at 11 weeks as opposed to make is wait till 14! 😬

Runnerlou89 · 28/05/2022 09:42

Hi All, can I tentively join? Found out yesterday, period was 1 day late. We've been trying for 2.5 years, never had a late period or sniff of a positive. We have an appointment to discuss IVF in July so I am in absolute shock.
Super nervous it might not work out but happy to know I've finally got pregnant after months & months of heart break.

Peonies94 · 28/05/2022 09:59

@roarfeckingroarr time seems to go so slowly doesn’t it!! Found out just over a week ago, and feels like a lifetime! I’m hopefully going to get a scan in 2 weeks when I’ll be 6 weeks! 🀞when are you having your scan? Wishing you the best of luck!

OP posts:
roarfeckingroarr · 28/05/2022 11:33

@Peonies94 I know! I've been through a lifetime of emotions in one week. My scan is 8 June, can't wait.

I'm not in a simple situ. DP (father of my 19 mo DS) and I split up last year. We still get on very well, coparent well, he's a brilliant, loving and engaged father, he even lives with us at the moment (I own the house) because London is so expensive and it's lovely us both being here for DS every day. But we're very different, he doesn't meet my emotional needs, or physical, and trying again would be flogging a dead horse and probably ruin the lovely set up we have now. I have work that needs doing to my flat and once that's done I intend to buy a 3 bed with a garden for DS, new baby and myself, a bit further out of London nearer my family and friends, and we'll see from there.

I wish I had a classic loving husband set up, it can be lonely, but I see the positives and know I'm so much more fortunate than many others, so have to just deal with the cards!

Peonies94 · 28/05/2022 11:47

@roarfeckingroarr how many weeks will you be?

gosh that does sound hard! I feel for you, but admire you for having that set up for your DC! It’s so nice being able to get on so well!

good luck on your journey!

roarfeckingroarr · 28/05/2022 12:18

It's hard but it's also great and liberating. I have a brilliant network of friends and family and I always wanted two kids with the same father. I figure I can have these and find love in a few years time without the risk of DS feeling pushed out πŸ˜‚

Have you booked your scan? An app puts me at 5+3 today, so I'll be 7 weeks in theory on the scan date.

Ohrwurm · 28/05/2022 19:30

Hi everyone!
I'm 13dpo, period was due today and got my strong positive! Absolutely shocked as we're supposed to be infertile πŸ˜… our due date will be February 3rd.
Congratulations everyone!

YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch · 28/05/2022 22:18

Hi! My period was due yesterday and I tested on the 23rd, 26th and this morning and have gotten stronger but still early days.

Does anyone want to make a private Facebook "February 2023 baby bus" for sharing the journey? I joined one for my son 5 years ago and we still talk all the time now on it, it's great
