Anyone due February? I know it’s super early but I’ve had my BFP at what I think is 8DPO so it looks like I’ll be due the first few days of February!

@Ohrwurm @Onebabyandamadcat I've messaged you both!

drpowk · 01/06/2022 06:39

On a scale of 1-10 my motivation to go to work is -100. I have a new manager starting today who I’m 99% sure doesn’t have kids (just moved across the country in 3 months during term time but could have little ones), so although I found my old manager hard to communicate with at times, she’s always 100% understood toddler life and been supportive. Working party time I feel like my appointments have a bigger impact/I’m away much more but trying not to feel guilty.

YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch · 01/06/2022 06:55

I did another test this morning - only a cheap one.
The one on the left is Saturday morning and the right is today. Should I expect to see more progress in the strength of the line?
With my son I only tested on due date, 2 days later and then did a clear blue digits so I wasn't so conscious of line progression.

According to the Pregnancy+ app I'm 5 weeks today. I may get a CB digital to do tomorrow morning but starting to get anxious.

I really would try to step away from the tests as they do bring a lot of anxiety. It depends on how much water, your urine etc.
I m sure everything is fine though that's still a decent pregnancy line! X

Hi all,
would love to join this thread! Found out on Saturday with quite a strong line (did a couple more test just in case) but period wasn’t due until today so it hasn’t felt real yet!

due date 5th Feb. It’s my first so slightly overwhelmed, we started trying 2 months ago :)

Im having way more symptoms then I thought I’d have early on, nausea, tender and swollen breast, light cramps, strong sense of smell (I woke up from the smell of lemon in my tea on the night stand :’) and extreme fatigue! Twins are very common in my family but trying not to worry about that yet haha!

A bit anxious so nice to have a support system of people going through the same thing! It’s sometimes difficult with all the stories of what can go wrong to focus on the lovely and the positive!

MrsMCtobe · 01/06/2022 08:23

Congratulations all!! Such a nervous but exciting time!

I’m 5 weeks today, is anyone taking baby aspirin? I’ve had 2 previous MCs, I went private for some help and got prescribed aspirin and progesterone and had a successful pregnancy. My doctor is no longer private or in my area, I’m so nervous trying to find a new doctor! So going to take aspirin in the mean time in the hope it helps.

Good luck everyone

ncmc2014 · 01/06/2022 08:35

Hey all congratulations πŸ₯³ so many here already!!

I think I got a bfp this morning it’s super faint. I annoyingly woke up at5.30 to grab a bottle for the baby and just went pee without thinking then About 40mins ago thought I should test today - due AF Saturday so I’m quite early - I’m sure it’s there it’s FRER but not first wee and super faint I doubt anyone can see it through a lens haha. I have another test so I might hold as long as I can to see if I get a better line later.
This will be baby no4! I miscarried twins April 3rd at 9+4 so really hoping I haven’t got wishful line eyes - I don’t think I do it’s there I’m sure 😁

Onebabyandamadcat · 01/06/2022 08:56

@MrsMCtobe I'm taking baby aspirin due to previous miscarriages. Not been prescribed it, just doing it as I've read it might help. Unfortunately in Scotland they won't prescribe progesterone unless I'm actively bleeding and have a scan with a heartbeat - a bit blotting the door after the horse I feel! Figured the aspirin can't hurt so may as well give it a go. Good luck!

MrsMCtobe · 01/06/2022 09:06

@Onebabyandamadcat Thank you so much. I think it's the same in England too, my GP won't refer me. I'm trying to get it privately but not sure I'll have any luck!

drpowk · 01/06/2022 10:15

@ncmc2014 - I did one about 4 days out and got the feintest line, then 2 days before period and it was much stronger.

So sorry for your loss before, before my DD I lost one at 7 or 8 weeks so I'm still so nervous. They were really kind and referred me for an early scan with my first due to the miscarriage but not sure they would again. I'll pay for a scan if I get to 8 weeks as another month is torture.

Peonies94 · 01/06/2022 12:10

@Onebabyandamadcat aww I know, it was really consuming me! I’m back to being a little more relaxed! Ahh okay! I’m the 1st, I think! I know right? I’ve booked an early scan and it can’t come quick enough!!

@runningandrunning congratulations! I’m so sorry to hear! Sending you best wishes that this pregnancy goes well! I can’t imagine how your feeling!

@ceebee21 congratulations!!

@WingingIt09 the exhaustion is a killer isn’t it! Soooo tired! I can barely function! Soon as I sit down after work, I’m sleeping! Even after a full nights sleep, though I am stuggling to sleep in the night and waking lots most nights!

@stockpilingallthecheese congratulations! It’s such a weird feeling isn’t it!!

@YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch I’ll have the link please!! I’ve also had cramping! Quite intense too!

@YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch try not to worry too much about the darkness! I did the same so I totally understand though!

@EBx congratulations! Such an exciting but nerve wrecking time!

Hi Ladies!

Really hoping this is my lucky cycle, so I'm 12dpo today. My lmp was 5th May, period due tomorrow or Friday at the latest. I'm considering testing tomorrow, if I am pregnant would I be likely to see a positive result by then? Or should I hold off until the weekend? The last few days of the two are torture 😫

Peonies94 · 01/06/2022 12:37

@allthingssparkly yes, you should see a line even if it’s faint, on the day your period is due! Good luck!

I know it’s early days, but who will be finding out the sex? This is my first and there is no way I could not find out, I’m so excited to know! I really don’t mind either way, but I think it’ll add to the excitement for us personally!!

@Peonies94 we did last time and I really liked knowing, it helped me feel more connected (also we couldn't agree on any boys names, luckily it was a girl!). I'm too impatient not to find out to be honest! What I'm dreading more than life itself is them saying it's twins, haha (my dad's cousin has 2 sets of twins and my dad was a twin but one died during the pregnancy, so I think it runs in the family!)

Peonies94 · 01/06/2022 17:31

@drpowk i know, I’m exactly the same too impatient! Ahh I have a few sets of twins in the family too, on myself and DH’s family!🀣 πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I’ve been having really intense stomach cramps the last week just for half an hour or so and feeling like I need to go to the toilet. During the cramping I’m getting sweaty and flushed and then going dizzy. It’s passing then within half an hour. Today I’ve had it happen 3 times though, usually just once a day! Any ideas what it may be? Is this normal?!

@Peonies94 we had a surprise last time, this time I'll find out purely to prepare my Daughter. It was so fun keeping it a surprise, all the way through I thought it was a boy!

Might be progesterone playing with your digestion? Usually slows peoples bowels up but can go the other way in my experience.

we will be finding out the sex as I’d like to prepare DD for the incoming πŸ˜†

Peonies94 · 01/06/2022 18:39

@Cherrymarket shh okay thank you! Hopefully it’s just that ☺️! Ahh that’s a good idea! Will probably help her feel involved if she knows she’s expecting a sister/brother!xx
