Anyone else due January 2023?! Found out yesterday I'm pregnant with baby #2. If my dates are right, I'm 3+6, due 27th January! My daughters a Jan baby, but was due feb (she was 3 weeks early). May just must be a very fertile month for us! We fell pregnant last May too, but never met them😢.

@Kerryw93 I'm feeling so much better thank you, and thankfully no more spotting. How are you doing?

We had the screening for Downs, Edwards and Patau, and we haven't heard anything back so I am assuming that it came back low risk. Did you have it done? Xx

Hopeful2654 · 28/07/2022 22:06

Hi ladies, hope it’s ok to jump on here. I’m 16 weeks, got my midwife app next week. I had the odd bit of spotting very early on so couple of early scans but that’s all completely gone now and all was fine on scans and 12 week scan all good too.
However I am getting quite a lot of discharge (sorry!)
I’m sure this is very normal but be good to hear of some others having the same thing?!

Yes! I have loads of discharge. It is driving me bonkers. I've actually been looking for reusable panty liners so I can swap them throughout the day! Xx

Hopeful2654 · 30/07/2022 19:08

Ok! I’m just a bit worried but sure it’s completely normal. Will ask midwife on Thursday

PoppyHenry · 30/07/2022 20:09

@Hopeful2654 i always get a lot of discharge when pregnant as long as there is no foul odour, isn’t green in colour and isn’t itchy then discharge is common but there no harm is talking to midwife for some reassurance xx

Is anyone feeling massive already? 🥺 all I'm doing is clicking and having discomfort.

Yes! I do. Is this your first pregnancy? It's my second and I feel soooo much bigger and more uncomfortable so early on this time around. I was reading that it's because the uterus doesn't completely shrink back to its previous size after pregnancy so things pop out a little sooner.

I'm only (almost) 16 weeks but already feel like I need to go and buy some maternity jeans! Xx

CJones11 · 30/07/2022 23:28

@TokenGinger so glad it's not just me. This is also my second pregnancy. My son is 4! I'll be 18 weeks on Monday and I've resorted to maternity clothes already. I am a little concerned about how I will go to full term like this 🙈 I was so petite with my first!
Do you know what you're having?

Look at that cute little bump forming already! You look lovely ❤️ My DS is 3! I'm having a girl. Have you found out?

Yes I'm not quite sure how enormous I'll end up being by full term. I feel a bit annoyed with myself that I didn't lose my previous pregnancy weight and now I feel huge but I am planning on restarting Slimming World next week to try and keep my gains to a minimum xx

CJones11 · 30/07/2022 23:55

@TokenGinger
Congratulations on the little girl💝 I have not found out and wanted to try and keep this one a surprise but the anticipation is killing me. Wonder if I will resist during the 20 week scan!

I did slimming world with my son. I only gained 13lbs through the pregnancy and felt so healthy, totally recommend it! I am heavier now which is why I think my lower back etc is aching and clicking.

TokenGinger · 31/07/2022 21:18

@CJones11 13lb is incredible! I think I do need to get myself back on track and try and limit the damage.

I'm the same with the back pain, my hips are hurting too.

Thank you so much. We had to find out as part of our genetic testing, otherwise I'm unsure whether I'd find out or not. It must be so lovely to have a surprise at the end but equally, I am so bloody impatient 😂😂

Laurzz · 02/08/2022 09:03

Hey everyone, nice to see all your updates. Hope you are all keeping well 😀.

Life has been busy the past fee weeks. Also currently got covid which is crappy.

I'm 17+4 today, still not really showing but this is Mt first and I carry extra weight anyway. All my test results so far have come back clear and hears babies heartbeat at 16 week appointment. I'm starting to feel small flatters but don't know if it's baby moving or just stretching. Last night I had the pulsating sensation in my lower tummy and it lasted for a good few minutes, does anyone know what that could be? 20 week scan booked for the 19 August, we won't be finding out the sex. I'm nervous for this scan, praying everything is good 🤞.

CJones11 · 17/08/2022 16:44

Hi all.
I had my 20 week scan this morning. All went well although it was uncomfortable with all the poking around. Managed to resist finding out the sex but already regretting it haha.
I hope you're all well and good luck with your scans x

Awww, congratulations 💕 How lovely. How are you feeling?

It feels like time is going so quickly. I can't believe some of us are already halfway there and having the 20 week scans! It seems like only a few days ago this thread was set up.

CJones11 · 17/08/2022 18:14

@TokenGinger I thought today this pregnancy is flying by. I want to gey a 4D scan because going 20 weeks without another seems so long.

I am really well, feeling fatter than ever haha. Got a lot going on other than baby (renovating a house) so very busy.

My son is so desperate for a brother I feel like if I find out and its a girl I will disappoint him 🙈 silly really isn't it.

How are you doing? When do you have your scan?

TokenGinger · 17/08/2022 19:09

@CJones11 Oh bless him. I know exactly what you mean. My DS doesn't have a sex preference... he just said "no baby in my house" 😂😂😂 So I have a whole other battle on my hands 🙊

Aww yes, I think I will do a 4D too. 20 weeks is so, so long. It's only been 4 weeks since my last scan but it already feels so long ago.

I'm doing good, thank you. I'm 18+2 today, and have my 20 week scan on 2nd September which still feels so far away but I'm sure it'll soon be here.

I hear you on feeling bigger than ever. I'm so much bigger this time around than with my first pregnancy. I got some bargain maternity jeans in H&M today for £5 each, so I'm hoping I'll feel a bit more comfortable from now.

Kerryw93 · 17/08/2022 19:46

Congratulations @CJones11 !!!!! So glad it went well.. I don't know how u kept it secrete 😂😂 the temptation is so real 😂

Has anyone else found out the gender yet?

We had a gender scan yesterday and found out I'm having a thirs girl! I'm absolutely thrilled! I have noticed people questioning weather I'm happy about it though. Like of course I'm happy, the gender doesn't determined weather or not someone is happy about having a baby regardless of how many of the same gender you have. . .

Also has anyone else got a low lying placenta? They said it was low lying but not to worry. Ofc we have Google so now I've googled it and scared myself that something bad will happen in child birth 😭 I rang my mum who comforted me bless her lol but I'm so anxious now!!!! Hoping it moves up. Also I have low platelets so I have to have more bloods taken xx

Awww, congratulations! We have a girl, too. I agree with you, I absolutely wouldn't have been disappointed either a way. I have a boy already, and to be honest, if anything, I was a bit perplexed when I found out baby is a girl because I'm just so used to a boy. I guess I just had it in my head that it would be a boy just simply because DS is 😂 But genuinely, I couldn't care less. I will just be thrilled to have her here.

I'm not sure about my placenta just yet. I had a private scan at 14 weeks and she said I had an anterior placenta but I suppose they'll say more at my 20 week scan.

I haven't heard of a low lying one before - I'm going to Google x

Laurzz · 18/08/2022 11:59

@CJones11 Congratulations 😁, lovely scan photo.

@Kerryw93 A wee girl, congratulations!

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow and so nervous. We don't plan on finding out the gender either. This is my first pregnancy and want to keep it a surprise. All my symptoms have gone and feeling better than ever. Bump has also popped out but not massively. Not sure if its movement or not but have been feeling some small flutters this week.

TMI question, my unrine the last few weeks has changed color even when fully hydrated its pretty dark. I let me midwife know and she tested it for an infection and all come back clear but didn't answer my question to why it was dark. She didn't seem too concerned about it. Has anyone else got this? 😂

Good luck everyone for you up and coming 20 week scans.

CJones11 · 19/08/2022 12:17

@Kerryw93 congratulations on the baby girl 😇 I've had a couple of family members with low lying placentas and most find out later on that it has moved as their uterus grows.

CJones11 · 19/08/2022 12:20

@Laurzz I hope your scan goes well today:)

My urine is also much darker than usual but trying to drink loads. Midwife hasn't said its an issue though. I guess our bodies are just holding on to a lot of the hydration!

MrsUSAinUK · 19/08/2022 13:45

@Kerryw93 hey there! i had my 20 week scan on the 17th and also was told i have low lying placenta. the sonographer said not to worry and that 90% of the time they've moved up by a re-scan at 32 weeks! so, we're in the same boat. i'm also not mad about the chance to see sweet babe again before she's here in person! hope you're feeling great and congrats on your soon to be LO!

Laurzz · 22/08/2022 15:30

20 Week scan went well and all on track 😁. I have an Anterior Placenta, I have felt the occasional flutter but hopefully feel full movements between now and 24 weeks. We refrained from finding out the sex. Our scan photo give away no clues either, the Sonographer was very careful. We are away in a few weeks time so once back i'll start looking to buy some bits & bobs.

@CJones11 never thought about our bodies holding on to hydration. That's likely the cause.

PoppyHenry · 25/08/2022 18:58

Congratulations to you all on your scans glad all is well xx
we had our 20 week scan today was so nervous as we lost our son last year, well today our scan went well and we are expecting another boy 💙x

Alekss · 26/08/2022 07:58

Hi all. Hope u don't mind me jumping into the topic. I'm also expecting my first baby in Jan. I'm very excited and very scared.
I had my 20 weeks scan this week and everything is going well with the baby. But they found a fibroid tissue on my womb wall and this really concerned me. The sonographer said it is normal and I should discuss it with my midwife but pretty much nothing else. My midwife didnt respond to texts/ calls yet so I am just reading stuff in Google and getting more and more worried.

Has anyone ever had fibroids during pregnancy?
