Anyone else due January 2023?! Found out yesterday I'm pregnant with baby #2. If my dates are right, I'm 3+6, due 27th January! My daughters a Jan baby, but was due feb (she was 3 weeks early). May just must be a very fertile month for us! We fell pregnant last May too, but never met them😢.

@Jusmakingit it was definitely a shock when I saw the time I had slept without waking up that’s for sure. Oh god I have said all weekend I will do the bathrooms - have I done them have I heck! My house is such a mess I used to clean all the time but I just don’t have it in me. I have now promised myself I will do it tomorrow 🤣

I have also found I’m warm all the time… I’m normally very cold and have often had 2 duvets on me and my partner boils whereas this winter I don’t have 1 on me!

Kerryw93 · 15/01/2023 12:51

Congratulations!!!!!! HOPE YOU AND BABY GIRL ARE OKAY xxx

Charlie023 · 15/01/2023 13:15

Hey everyone, Congratulations on all those who've had their babies already. I've not posted in a long time but I've been enjoying reading everyone's updates, it's keeping me going.
I'm 39 weeks today, first baby, not had any labour symptoms at all yet, no Braxton Hicks or nothing, I'm lucky I've had such a smooth and easy pregnancy, just hope labour is more of the same when it does eventually happen.
Had a growth scan on Friday, baby is measuring 7lb14oz, although I don't feel my bump has got any bigger in the last few weeks. Midwife thinks baby is 3/5ths down, which was the same as a few weeks ago so he still needs to drop down more yet, thankfully at the moment it means I don't feel like I constantly need to pee.
I think he's going to be a late arrival, not that I'm bothered at this stage as I'm still feeling ok. Got a sweep booked for 41+1 on 30th if nothings happened on its own by then.

TokenGinger · 15/01/2023 17:33

Hi ladies, I hope you're all okay. I keep reading everybody's updates waiting for the new arrivals.

We're back home now and definitely in a little newborn bubble. Baby and I are trying to establish breastfeeding... Oh my God, I never thought it would be so painful. She's doing really well but it's taking a lot out of me. No over exaggeration, last night she was swapping from side to side for 6 hours straight from midnight - 6.00am. I feel so guilty on DS that I haven't had much time for him but my mum has taken him out today for lunch and a soft play session so he's had a good day.

I hope everybody who has had their babies are settled nicely at home now, and those who are still waiting are doing okay. It's so nice to see every time there's a new announcement.

Jusmakingit · 15/01/2023 19:03

Lovely to read your updates since having your babies !

for anyone missing being pregnant - I currently have what I assume is a foot lodged into my side and it’s very uncomfortable but baby seems happy … there comfort is more important lol

in relation to breastfeeding - do what works for you and baby. Remember to not put so much pressure on yourself , think about your mental health and a full baby is a happy baby. Just go with how you feel.

I tried breast feeding my first and after a couple of days just went to shit cause she stopped latching, became painful and she was starving - even though the midwives told me to push through it. I was miserable and so was my DD. When she had a formula feed she slept solid for 6 hours - I didn’t cause I was constantly checking her lol .

You’re lucky you have had a smooth pregnancy and all is healthy! Enjoy not needing to pee so much. I think my baby keeps engaging then moving back up cause one min I can barely walk and need to pee every 5 mins to then not feeling preg and having a foot in my rib cage again. I never had braxton hicks with my first, this pregnancy I have had a fair few and it’s so misleading cause you have to wait and see if they get more painful. It’s so frustrating having labour symptoms and not any labour lol 😂 my patients being tested already by this child lol

keep us updated on how you get on ❤️

H44123 · 15/01/2023 20:16

@TokenGinger glad your home now and all OK. I don’t have another child but I can imagine the mum guilt, I’m sure your not alone. You will get into a routine and flow which works for you all so don’t worry. RE breastfeeding, as justmakingit said don’t put so much stress/pressure on yourself and just do what works for you!

@Charlie023 your pregnancy sounds heaven. To be honest mine hadn’t been that bad, I have just started to complain and struggle past 2 weeks really, hopefully you don’t get to feeling like me!

@Jusmakingit I have had a few pains today, not consistent just random one which make me stop and shout ouch… I feel like baby if hitting my vagina from inside so not sure whether it’s because he’s moved or it’s a BH or a lightning shot. Also TMI but I kid you not I have not got off the toilet all afternoon/night. Probably just a dodgy tummy but it’s painful!

Jusmakingit · 15/01/2023 20:44

@H44123 oh my gosh this might be your time coming up ! A good clear out is a good sign of things loosening up!

I totally get you with the vagina pressure lol I had a lot whilst slouched on the sofa and now I’m up baby feels like it’s a cough away from coming out . Iv said for a while it literally feels like a hand or foot is pushing on my cervix , feels very touch and go. I have also changed my bedding tonight lol so my luck my waters will go lol 😂

H44123 · 15/01/2023 21:13

@Jusmakingit funny you say that… I changed bedding this week and put a waterproof mattress protector on I bought specifically incase anything happens in bed!

I did think that about going to the toilet so much as it is so unusual and I haven’t had anything different to eat to cause it. But then I thought I’m having no other signs or symptoms so putting it down to a dodgy tummy! I think I have ages to go get anyway, you will definitely be before me with the signs you have had!

Brightonbelle87 · 16/01/2023 11:05

Hi ladies, long time no update from me as I've had my beautiful baby boy who is thankfully healthy and thriving now at 1 week old but I had such a traumatic labour and birth which ended in an emergency c section and lots of discomfort in the hospital afterwards. I haven't really processed any of it but so many mistakes were made and the aftercare was very hit and miss.

I won't go into a big horror story, but sending everyone lots of strength and best wishes as we become new parents. We're all amazing warriors! Xx

Jusmakingit · 16/01/2023 11:15

@H44123 update … there’s no update lol 😂 baby was very active all night but other than that just the same lol

@Brightonbelle87 hello! Congrats !! I’m sorry your labour and birth wernt what you were hoping for, I had a traumatic birth with my first and same as you , aftercare very hit and miss. Ask for a debrief when you feel up to it and ask questions if you have any. It helped me and validated my feelings . I know it can feel like you just have to get on with it but make sure you look after yourself as well and reach out for support with your doctor or midwife.

enjoy your baby bubble as well ❤️

H44123 · 16/01/2023 12:14

@Brightonbelle87 congratulations!!! Sorry it didn’t go as planned and/or was what you hoped for. Hoping you’re feeling better soon. Make sure you take the time to look after yourself too! Thinking if you!

@Jusmakingit ha my update is exactly the same.. no update/change. I had the WORST night, up for a wee non stop, couldn’t sleep, belly ache and still had a dodgy tummy causing more trips to the toilet. Today I feel like baby is really heavy and low down and getting the electric shocks near my vagina inside. I hope this doesn’t go on for another 4 weeks 😱

Kerryw93 · 16/01/2023 14:12

Just to join the updates... no update 😂

Anyone else getting abit disheartened it's not their time ... or is it just me 🙈🙈🙈

Eeejjj · 16/01/2023 14:14

I thought I'd just jump on to say, a lot of people tell tale sign they were going into labour was loose stools but I was actually the opposite, I was actually constipated and uncomfortable

Jusmakingit · 16/01/2023 14:33

@Kerryw93 yes lol I keep getting braxton hips begging for them to turn into actual contractions. I’m so done. I had an induction with my first at 37+3 and hoping my body remembers and just does it itself lol doubt it like. I’m so over it, all the symptoms and nothing to show for it yet .

@Eeejjj my erm bowels have gone back to normal ish . I keep getting stomach ache but I think it’s more cause my appetite is back since baby dropped . I’m bored now of waiting lol 😂

Kerryw93 · 16/01/2023 17:16

@Jusmakingit I totally am with you 😩 , looking for any sign of baby on their way. I'm 2 weeks into maternity leave. I have a C section on the 24th but would love to know she's coming sooner! I am running out of ways to keep myself occupied now!

I have exhausted all options on TV lol 😂 I’m so fed up. I would pay to get this labour started . Todays been a weird one, had lots of watery discharge . I had this a few weeks ago and spent like 4 hours in maternity unit to be told it’s just discharge and nothing is happening lol so unless a contraction or pain kicks in I’m not going to ring. Baby has a foot in my side still and I’m sure a shoulder in the side of my pelvis it’s so uncomfortable but she keeps moving in an out of my pelvis and right into my bum lol . Had hiccups in my bum last night , that was a new one lol 😂

is this your first baby? How many weeks will you be for your c section ? I wanted one but consultant talked me out of it but I’d love a natural labour

Kerryw93 · 16/01/2023 17:45

😂 haha, completed netflix 😂 ,

Oooo maybe this could be the start for you!! I really hope it is, fingers are crossed. How far along are you? Are you all set and ready? I have 2 daughters (this will be my 3rd) 1st is 11 y.o and she was spontaneous labour at 40+1, I thought I had BH for the whole night, then my plug and waters popped and 5 hours later she was here! My 2nd daughter I was induced due to P.E at 40w 1hour 55 mins later (1 pessary) she was born. And this baby is my last, ill be 39+4 on the 24th (currently 38+3) she's breech but I'd love to have her early !

Tonight is OUR night, I'm SURE of it lol

Hahahah TONIGHT ! Ok let’s put it in the diaries lol . I’m sadly only 37+ 2 but so much happening down there. I really hope tonight is the night. My birthday is actually Wednesday and suppose to be going for a meal so who knows, my luck is usually not great so I’m hoping next 24 hours purely for the fact I’m going out Wednesday night for a meal . My feet and legs are starting to swell as well now. So another girl for you ? I have a 5 year old DD and a 12 year old DSS . My first I was induced at 37+3 due to PE and GD as well and it took three days so trying to avoid that but so far this pregnancy has been really healthy and normal lol

H44123 · 16/01/2023 18:47

my no update continues too ladies.

except still the issue with not getting off the toilet and this afternoon I have had the worst groin pain ever. The only way I can describe it is it’s as if I did the splits (which I can’t do!!) and have torn the muscles/ligaments at the inside at the top of my thighs to do the splits. I actually think I might have had BH too this being but my belly didn’t tighten or anything it was more like period cramps low down which then disappeared.

I panicked and thought maybe this means something and jumped in the shower to make sure my legs were shaved just in case 🤣🤣 obviously everything stopped and I got over excited! Due to finish work Friday I can’t wait although I will be bored and over analyse everything even more!

Jusmakingit · 16/01/2023 19:47

@H44123 that sounds like what I get BH wise. Like period cramping but sometimes my whole bump aches like stomach ache but all over. It’s weird cause depending which website you look at BH is described in lots of different ways 🤷‍♀️ because ‘every women’s experience is different’ lol urgh x

H44123 · 16/01/2023 20:47

@Jusmakingit yep and I just want someone to tell me what it is exactly! Probably wasn’t even BH I just diagnosed myself as usual! It’s all just the unknown isn’t it, especially as it’s my first. Now I’m thinking what a waste of time and energy shaving my legs 🤣

how are you doing? Has the swelling gone down at all?

Jusmakingit · 17/01/2023 07:18

@H44123 morning, swelling isn’t to bad it’s ok once Iv been in bed. Nothing happened in the night baby was quiet which I’m not surprised after her constant wriggling yesterday. I just feel like I should stop thinking about it all now lol 😂 how was your evening ?

Jusmakingit · 18/01/2023 08:57

Hope everyone is ok and maybe some new babies have arrived ?

my update : there is no update. More BH , baby dropped a bit more and is loving laying in one position - her bum sticking right out the side of my with her foot still which is very painful at times. Lots of pressure in pelvis and I now have a lovely TMI hemaroid to add to the mix. Excellent 🙄 doesn’t help when I’m having 2 poos a day either 😩

H44123 · 18/01/2023 13:24

@Jusmakingit Had a manic day with work yesterday, my last day on Friday so just trying to get everything sorted before I leave.

Obviously no update continues with me too 🤣 I actually feel a bit better. Leg pains have stopped and going to the toilet as much. Still up many times during the night weeing but that’s to be expected I guess. I have some painful cramps randomly but I think it’s more baby moving and hitting something but nothing too bad or consistent either.

I feel for you with a haemorrhoid, never had one but my mum did when pregnant and said they are awful. Fingers crossed baby moves into a better position for you too so you can a bit of relief from that! ❤️
