*around the house

Vimto1991 · 04/05/2022 21:19

@CurryandSnuggle we can still order lfts from the government website for free if you put it’s for hospital visits. That’s what I did and got another box, unless they have changed that in the last few weeks. Just in case you were worried about running out.

CurryandSnuggle · 04/05/2022 21:26

Thanks @Vimto1991 I’m slightly worried though as I feel like I’m lying because the wording was something like “I was told to take a test by a medical professional because I’m being admitted to hospital soon” lol. Sounds silly but don’t want anyone coming after me for fibbing haha!! I might see what midwife says tomorrow and technically if she says I need to LFT then I can order it haha.

MrsNT · 04/05/2022 21:30

At my gp appointment i gave urine sample and found out i have bacterial growth i.e urine infection but no symptoms 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
Have been given antiobiotic ...again

Vimto1991 · 04/05/2022 22:01

@CurryandSnuggle ah true! At the time, my trust made us do lfts before entering the antenatal ward, now that’s scrapped I think I’d struggle, too.

InvisibleDragon · 04/05/2022 22:06

Really glad to hear you got your c section signed off with no hassles @mrkb!

I'm not in nesting mode, but my husband is ... Got home from work to discover 2 partially constructed IKEA wardrobes and some unnecessary holes in the wall Hmm

beansprout55 · 04/05/2022 22:07

How you doing @Flowerbug1994 ? Hope you get answers xx

Boy here!!

Im 32+3 and I so envy those of you who are much further ahead. I also can't wait until I'm glued to MN as every other day someone will be telling us she's in labour! 😍 so exciting!x

Im starting the raspberry leaf tea now. Really hope it doesn't taste like crap.

Any Downtonians in the group? Just came back from the cinema. The new movie is good but a sad ending so I don't recommend you go until your hormones are back to the norm 😢

MrsTwentyNine · 04/05/2022 22:18

Back to back baby at 34 weeks anyone 🥺 Head down though!

Katiebaby13 · 04/05/2022 22:46

Oh no @CurryandSnuggle hope you manage to avoid getting COVID and that your husband doesn't get too poorly with it.

@vimto sorry you've been having such a stressful time with the movements. I also have an anterior placenta. I'm 33 weeks and 3 days now and feel like I've only had big movements in the past few weeks. It's stressful worrying about what is normal or not when it's so unknown.

Sorry to everyone who is feeling poorly again, hope it passed quickly.

Flowerbug1994 · 05/05/2022 00:16

@pregnancydiaries @Octoblockisadick @Vimto1991 @beansprout55 just got home after a 4 hour stint. Was on ctg for hour and a half machine was satisfied after 20 mins but they said as I’ve had a few eps of reduced movement they wanted me on longer. Got a good few movements in that time and also got a good few tightenings that monitor was picking up on. They said as I’ve had reduced movements a few times now I need a Doppler scan and a scan for my waters so they have been ordered and I will get call tomorrow for when to come for it. Feel better now he’s booked checked out and got some movements. Hoping the next few weeks fly. I sailed through pregnancy luckily until 30 weeks I feel like the past 5 weeks have been 5 years xxx

mrkb · 05/05/2022 07:16

Thanks everyone. I didn't even think about it at the time but DH is really sad she's not going to be a June baby- he was asking if I can change to June 1st - don't think he quite gets it's not a supermarket delivery slot 🤦🏻‍♀️ 😅

MrsTwentyNine · 05/05/2022 07:52

@CurryandSnuggle remember we were saying about the belly projecting out and how that was the bum for you. My baby is also head down but back to back so now I'm wondering if mine is a knee ?!

Vimto1991 · 05/05/2022 08:21

@Flowerbug1994 good to hear they are investigating further for you and not just sending you on your way. It really does feel like we’ve been pregnant forever now. 😩 just want them here safe and sound but found this the hardest trimester so far!

Clomid1 · 05/05/2022 08:25

@Starbeach I’ve not bought a car seat yet. I want the joie i spin 360 but its not one you can fit onto a travel system so unsure if its a good idea

@Lostintranslatio I asked my midwife about this. She said you can tell them that you have a car seat that’s fixed into the car. One of the midwives will bring baby down with you and wait to check you’ve secured baby in properly. Maybe ask your midwife at the next appointment

@vimto1991 Yep I am quite anxious too but due to my regular monitoring I think I am a bit more relaxed. I think go in whenever you feel you need it. Don’t worry what they think of you. They’ll forget who you are in about 2 months anyway 😅

@DaimDillyDoo I also have itching. I keep rubbing e45 all over my body. I wouldn’t say it helps loads but it eases the itching. I have a lot of scratch marks on my belly from the itching.
Good luck for your scan too. I’ve been told as long as they are growing even if its small its fine. Trying to keep positive by thinking that.

annie1994 · 05/05/2022 08:52

I had my first triage visit last night, but for increased movements! It was so weird, for about 3 hours he was going absolutely crazy non stop. I’ve never felt anything like it during my first or this pregnancy. I was worrying he was distressed but CTG was all fine and he calmed down!!

RoseValleyRambles · 05/05/2022 09:08

Just finished my hospital bag ordering! For such a little thing, this wee one needs quite a lot of stuff...

unknownscot · 05/05/2022 09:17

@Clomid1
We wanted that car seat too but opted for the MaxiCosi Pebble 360 as it fitted the pram, have a look into that xx

unknownscot · 05/05/2022 09:19

@RoseValleyRambles it crazy eh? I was over £100 in boots 😂

imhereforthecake · 05/05/2022 09:27

I'm currently having GTT number 3 at 34 weeks Confused
Went to day assessment unit for reduced movements - dipped my urine and glucose +++. I'm hoping it's the full fat coke I had beforehand! Surely I can't have developed GD between 28-34 weeks.
On the upside the consultant decided to do a growth scan while I was in and baby is approx 5lb 2oz and cooking nicely.

Vimto1991 · 05/05/2022 09:54

@annie1994 mines doing this, too, except not calmed down (apart from yesterday) 😂 I think they’re running out of space and struggling to get comfy now!! Good to hear all is well for you and baby. :)

@RoseValleyRambles how many baby outfits did you pack? Am I naive to only pack two? 🙈😅

Clomid1 · 05/05/2022 10:02

@unknownscot which prams does it fit into?

unknownscot · 05/05/2022 10:28

@Clomid1
We have the oyster3, but you can get adapters for several prams

PeeAche2 · 05/05/2022 10:50

Guess who is coming home today. 💃 💃 💃

Octoblockisadick · 05/05/2022 11:18

@MrsTwentyNine mine had his head in my pelvis but facing my left, with his back up my right side at my last scan. He does seem to switch sides quite often though.

@RoseValleyRambles have you followed a list? What are you packing?

@imhereforthecake I think it's quite common to get gd quite late tbh, hopefully it is just the coke though!

Woop woop @PeeAche2 !!! Congratulations 🎊

EarlGreywithLemon · 05/05/2022 11:37

Amazing news @PeeAche2 ! So lonely to hear!

@Vimto1991 I’ve packed 4 sets of short sleeve vest plus baby grow, two hats, and one cardigan. I also have one back up sleeveless vest and one long sleeve, and one sun hat (probably unnecessary). Also a blanket to put over the car seat.

We ran out of clothes last time, so I may be erring the other way!
