@Flowerbug1994 massively so! I finish on Friday at 36+2 and it can't come soon enough! After the events of last week I'm working from home, have had a very productive day and a half getting everything ready for handover, but it's all done now and I feel like I've not a lot else left to do. I'm also exhausted by the end of the day, despite the at home working. I know it's only 2.5 days left to go but it feels like a lifetime right now!

fpeg · 04/05/2022 12:49

@AlbatrossSociety girl expected here. Can't remember who's having what but I seems to remember thinking it was a fairly even split. I think the boys took an early lead, but the girls started to catch up. Obviously it's completely possible with my pregnancy brain that I've just made all that up 😂

RoseValleyRambles · 04/05/2022 12:59

Boy here. :) Currently kicking me in the crotch, bless him...

EarlGreywithLemon · 04/05/2022 13:12

@Flowerbug1994 yes, I’m completely over doing work. Two and a half weeks to go, eek!

Boy here, after a girl the first time.

pregnancydiaries · 04/05/2022 13:21

@AlbatrossSociety that's funny, in my NCT class it's all boys minus one girl! Boy here for us.

@fpeg HOW are you still working, you crazy woman. Take it easy, please!

Anyone else started being very sick? After my HG passing at about 23 weeks, I've thrown up every day the past week but today I can't even manage to keep water down. (33+2). Is this normal?xxx

unknownscot · 04/05/2022 13:26

I've taken myself to Mat Assessment, currently on CTG and getting scanned tomorrow.

They offered three options;

  1. Get admitted overnight for CTG and monitoring
  2. Go home and phone if any differences, and get scanned tomorrow
  3. Go home with no scan tomorrow.

I've chosen option 2 as they are happy with CTG.

Lostintranslatio · 04/05/2022 13:30

Expecting little girl here!!! 😍

Also struggling with work. I was supposed to go in today but I woke up totally shattered as I don't sleep very well. Also I get a lot of back pain from sitting for so long. So I decided to wfh today. 32 weeks today and I don't know how I'll manage to make it until my mat leave in 6 weeks 😭

Oh yeah! And just to add more stress we might move into a new house 😭😭 And we can't know yet if we will be able to move before baby arrives. I've been a ball of stress for the past week.

Prema112 · 04/05/2022 13:52

@Flowerbug1994 I finish work tmw at 36+1 and I CANT WAIT. I'm exhausted after a morning of hand over, I've been exhausted at work the whole way through really and particularly from 32 weeks. If I ever have another one I think I'll be finishing earlier, with my son I was 37 weeks but I didn't have another child to look after as well as work

Prema112 · 04/05/2022 13:53

Boy here, I think the spread is pretty even? I forgot my son can read now and he read the baby's probable name today, hope he doesn't tell everyone 😂

Prema112 · 04/05/2022 13:54

@Brightsmoke Which chair do you have??

thewindbeneathmywings · 04/05/2022 13:54

@AlbatrossSociety I'm expecting my 3rd boy ☺️

Starbeach · 04/05/2022 13:57

@pregnancydiaries I got over my HG about 30 weeks bar one or two sick days and i still cant eat fruit or eggs and im still on ondansetron. I'm 33+5 and this week my sickness has come back with a vengeance 😭

pregnancydiaries · 04/05/2022 14:11

@Starbeach it's awful I'm the exact same I've been able to cope the past week with just sick once a day and taking cyclizine has actually helped with the nausea but think I'll need to go back on the ondasatron now. That's so awful yours is still so bad with the ondans 😕 xxx

CurryandSnuggle · 04/05/2022 14:39

FFS! DH has covid 😫 I’ve done lateral flow and it’s negative however I am convinced I do have covid too as I’ve got a sore throat. 36 weeks on Fri… I’m due my midwife appointment tomorrow too!!

It doesn’t just rain, it pours in our house! 😂 (got to laugh else I’d cry, in past 3 weeks: DH and DS had tummy bugs which I thankfully swerved, DS brought head lice home which we all needed treatment for, DS on antibiotics for an infection, car tyre burst, and now covid 😫)

Now I just need the baby to be a good girl and stay put until covid has passed.

Brightsmoke · 04/05/2022 14:41

@Flowerbug1994 I'm struggling too! Finish work at 39+2, only another 3 weeks to go, can't come soon enough!

Also a boy here

I haven't got a clue on the brand @Prema112 but it's a reclining rocker one with foot stool

Starbeach · 04/05/2022 14:42

@pregnancydiaries apparently its common for it to come back. Do you find being sick hurts now? I do, it's like my bump cramps when I'm being sick. I'd love to enjoy the final few weeks but I'm resigned to the fact I'm just going to be sick all the way through. I'm sad that I'm missing out on stuff like having a baby shower and missing 2 friends baby showers my friends are desperate to throw me one but I just can't face it

Vimto1991 · 04/05/2022 15:04

@pregnancydiaries oh no! My nausea came back but not sickness, so I guess it can come back, worse when our stomachs are squished I guess so sorry to hear. Could it be a bug, though?

@CurryandSnuggle oh no!! Hopefully you remain negative, I’ve known soooo many couples where only one gets covid! And if you do get it atleast you’ve had it before birth! My friend didn’t need an lft before giving birth as she had covid in the past 12 weeks (her husband didn’t need to provide evidence at all…)

does anyone have their fourth booster? I think I’m due it late June so can’t have before baby is here anyway.

also did someone say any movement is classed as movement? Laying on my side after fizzy cold drink to feel baby today after a restless and strong two days, and behold I have some movement but not as strong, which sounds like yet again they’ve changed position 😬 anyone know at what stage they get stuck so I can stop panicking? I really didn’t want to go back in today for another monitor so did everything I could to get baby to move, I’ve had little kicks and rolls but hardly noticeable unless I focus. 🙈

pregnancydiaries · 04/05/2022 15:06

@Starbeach exact same here, my baby shower was meant to be at the weekend just there but had to cancel it. Like everything else I can't even face having people over to visit. Uch I feel for us!! I have a consultant appointment tomorrow I'll see if she recommends anything and let you know!xx

@CurryandSnuggle oh no!!! Fingers crossed it's not COVID for you xxx

pregnancydiaries · 04/05/2022 15:07

@Vimto1991 nausea to me is worse than the actual being sick so I feel for you!! Unfortunately it's been slowly building up over the past week and now just relentless and resembling the early HG days. UCH!!!! These little babies put us through it don't they, especially with everything you've had going on this week xx

fpeg · 04/05/2022 15:22

@pregnancydiaries I'd have triggered my mat leave but it just works so much better for us, if I can get to the end of this week, finances wise. I am working from home and am pretty autonomous, if I was having to be in work I'd have to stop.

@CurryandSnuggle what a horrendous time you're having! Keeping everything crossed for you that covid passes you by without incident.

All of you with the nausea/HG problems you have my greatest sympathies. I've been so lucky to avoid HG or even just vomiting. I had a lot of nausea in the first 13 weeks and major food aversion but wasn't ever actually sick.

At least we can all console ourselves with the fact that there really isn't long to go now!

fpeg · 04/05/2022 15:25

Has anyone else started eating dates? I've started last 2 days. Even with last week it's ok for me because they don't induce labour, just supposed to help shorten it a bit.

mrkb · 04/05/2022 15:27

@Flowerbug1994 - yes! I'm just too tired! Haven't been able to focus all day. I'm going to 39 weeks and am just taking it a day at a time because the thought of still being on my feet at that time is insane to me haha.

@AlbatrossSociety I'm having a girl! Though the two babies who have already been born in my NCT group are boys.

Had a chat with the lead midwife earlier about elective caesarean and it was so nice, reassuring, and she's booked me in for 30th May! Didn't think the conversation would be that easy (was prepared to have to fight for what I want) and just feel like a huge weight has been lifted & cannot wait now - less than 4 weeks!!!

Vimto1991 · 04/05/2022 15:34

@pregnancydiaries yeah I get you on that, being sick in first trimester gave me a bit relief, not for long, but enough. Fingers cross it settles, sorry to hear you are cancelling your baby shower. :( are you moving to a new date, be a shame to cancel altogether! Mine is this weekend and I’ve been dreading it with all my movement issues. I actually just called the midwives office for advice (still don’t have a midwife) asking that I’m still getting movement but not as intense and her first thing is just go to triage. This can’t be the only solution Ffs!! I can see baby moving, and going there daily on their advice is draining. Especially as I’m back tomorrow for monitoring as well!

pregnancydiaries · 04/05/2022 15:35

@fpeg the whole early triggering of mat leave annoys me. We should be able to be off sick if need be! But not long until the end of the week 🤞🏼xx

Vimto1991 · 04/05/2022 15:36

@mrkb congrats on settling on a date! Must be so nice to have a firm confirmation when your baby will be born!! All you girls seem to know what’s best for your bodies and I feel like I’m going in blind 😅 I have no experience in a good or bad labour so seeing what happens - I think I’ll regret this. 😆
