I know this is very early but I wanted to start a thread for those with a January 2023 due date.

I got my BFP 2 days ago and am about 4 weeks pregnant today. I already have a little boy born in November 2020 and I’m super excited for him to get a sibling but I know it’s early days and have had 2 early miscarriages in the past so slightly nervous too!

Totally new to all this and haven't tested since my BFP, should I be? 😳
I did 2 CB and a digital then stopped... Now panicking since you ladies are still testing 🙈

No don't test!! I'm trying to refrain 😂 it's hard to resist xx

No they say when you get your positive you can stop. I keep testing because of previous losses and feeling anxious about the pregnancy progressing but in reality testing won't change anything and I'm going to try and stop soon! Stick to not testing if you can 😀

@Lifeafterloss22 i have no symptoms yet, maybe slightly crampy but nothing else. I also never had painful boobs as a pregnancy symptom in both my precious pregnancies! I have started worrying a bit about no symptoms but I don’t think I felt any until much later before either

I completely agree. I had a little scare over the weekend and went to A&E with suspected ectopic - turns out it's just my endometriosis cramps playing up, which I'd presumed would stop once pregnant. You definitely fall through a hole in the NHS during early pregnancy. I had to have a scan to make sure, but the sonographers were so annoyed i'd been referred as I was only 5weeks 4 days. They don't like to scan until 6 weeks min. But we got the all clear and got to see the tiny little yolk sac all in the right place! Emotionally drained but getting there.

Birdie95 · 04/05/2022 13:05

P.S. I've joined the Jan conversation as I'm not due until the 31st and a bit late to the party for Dec conversation!

Not thick at all it makes no sense unless you know 🤣 It's when your test line is so strong it steals dye from the control line and in even darker than it in colour!

Like this? That was 4+5 x

10th January for me

Somatronic · 04/05/2022 13:11

Hi All,

I have been lurking here for a few days too nervous to join because I keep waiting for my pregnancy to just disappear! I think I'm 4 weeks 6 days today. We did IVF after trying with not so much as a BFP to show for it for nearly 2 years. According to online calculators I'm due on the 5th January.

I'm slowly starting to believe that this is real now! I'm not testing obsessively because I don't think any good comes from that. I have a scan at the IVF clinic at the end of the months so just trying to keep my head down til then.

Hope you're all keeping well!

Ohhhh that makes sense haha I keep seeing it and wondering what on earth it is 🤣🤣

mrsgtobe97 · 04/05/2022 17:19

Said I wouldn't test, but here's my 4w2d FRER on afternoon 2 ish hour hold 😬 I'm hoping the start of a dye stealer!

@Lifeafterloss22 I don't feel pregnant either! Wondering what to expect 🤷‍♀️ What is it meant to feel like?! Who knows!
I'm thirsty and need to wee as a result, that's about it!

I'm very much a hypocrite just now 😂 so I don't blame you if you do test cause it does give you a bit of reassurance xx

Staxy19 · 04/05/2022 18:14

Hi ladies :) I have had a confirmed test 3 days ago and another clear blue with the weeks 2 days ago! I am due 7th Jan 😃 super excited but I also suffer REALLY bad with nausea from around 5/6 weeks until around 16 weeks. How is everyone getting on? Xx

Littlebean23 · 04/05/2022 18:19

Quick question ladies...
I have just registered with a GP in my village and the receptionist advised the next steps are a 90min appointment at week 8 with the midwife.

I wasn't planning on telling my employer until around week 12, after I have told my family, but now wondering how soon I should actually tell work since we're entitled to paid leave to attend these appointments. Is 5 weeks too early? Shall I wait closer to 8? Will the manager honour my privacy and discretion... Aaah! 🤯 x

Janey3090 · 04/05/2022 18:52

Got my dye stealer, 4 weeks 3 days! ❤Starting to wonder if I may have ovulate earlier then I thought as this looks quite strong?

Due January 2023 ❤️
hopingfor23 · 04/05/2022 19:10

I had my app with the consultant this eve and he wants a viability scan at 6 weeks but pushed it to 7w6d as he is actually away when i'd be 6w! 1st June feels like a long way away!!! Already nervous for it but trying to stay positive 🙏

He has also prescribed my progesterone pessaries to take if I start spotting - I had hoped he'd tell me just to take them either way - anyone had experience of this?

Jellybean4774 · 04/05/2022 20:15

Hi ladies! Just found out this week on a FRER. It's very early days for me and I should be due 14 Jan. It's my first pregnancy and we've been trying for a while so I'm very excited and relieved we've finally caught, but equally now very anxious about a loss! Wasn't expecting to be quite so anxious so quickly! Keeping testing every other day at the moment to make sure its progressing okay. Wishing you all healthy pregnancies x
