I know this is very early but I wanted to start a thread for those with a January 2023 due date.

I got my BFP 2 days ago and am about 4 weeks pregnant today. I already have a little boy born in November 2020 and I’m super excited for him to get a sibling but I know it’s early days and have had 2 early miscarriages in the past so slightly nervous too!

@Somatronic the midwife said I can take cocodamol for migraines x

Peonies94 · 20/05/2022 06:05

hello! Hope you all don’t mind if I join! I’ve just found out so I’m really early! I’m not sure of my due date it’s around jan 31st to feb 1st! I thought I’d come here for now!

brogan12 · 20/05/2022 06:47

@Peonies94 welcome to the group and a massive congratulations! 🎉

Peonies94 · 20/05/2022 06:48

@brogan12 thsnk you! Really hope it stays ❤️ Congratulations to you too!

brogan12 · 20/05/2022 06:50

@Peonies94 Thankyou! One thing that's helped me is to take each day as it comes. Every morning I tell myself "today I am pregnant, and for that I am thankful" it's really helped me to stay calm and not stress!

Peonies94 · 20/05/2022 06:52

@brogan12 what’s your story? When are you due?

Peonies94 · 20/05/2022 06:53

@brogan12 sorry I sent that too soon! Im pregnant with my first, one cp before! I have been ttc for 17 months which felt like a lifetime! I know others have been trying much longer though! I think I’m due either 31st or the 1st feb!

brogan12 · 20/05/2022 06:55

@Peonies94 I have a September 2020 baby, that pregnancy I was so excited as soon as I took the test. I didn't worry about anything! Then in jan 2021 we started trying for baby number 2 and it took 14 months to conceive. I found out I was pregnant in March but sadly miscarried in April. I haven't had a period since so I took a test on the 11th May, 5 weeks after my miscarriage and to my surprise it is positive again! I've done many tests since and they are getting darker and stronger lines! Only issue is trying to work out when I am due with not having a lmp inbetween 😂 I think it will be round about the 11th January. What's your story? Xx

brogan12 · 20/05/2022 06:58

@Peonies94 oh 17 months would definitely feel like a lifetime for me too! I know 14 months did! It was getting so hard to stay positive! But we're here now, fingers crossed we both have sticky beans! 💖

Peonies94 · 20/05/2022 07:03

@brogan12 sorry to hear about your mc! Hope everything goes well for you! I also have really irregular cycles but I’ve recently started temping so I’m going off of ovulation day! My cycle I conceived was the most regular I’ve had though!! Wishing you the best of luck!❤️

MightyMouse101 · 20/05/2022 07:12

@LouiseD2018 If you can, send me a private message on here with your FB email address. I think I can then try to message you directly on FB / invite you that way. 🤞🏻

Cherrymarket · 20/05/2022 07:33

Hello, can I tentatively join?
If this is a sticky bean, I will be due 31st January so feel quite a way behind many of you! This will be my second baby, I have a DD who is 1.5.

I am a bit nervous about doing it all over again 😆

I like this.
i also repeat the phrase “joy is now” which I feel is so true. I want none of this to be robbed by anxiety like it was (a little) with my first (the pandemic ensured it was definitely not a normal pregnancy for many women!)

Somatronic · 20/05/2022 08:16

@41andtryingforfirst thanks for the response. The IVF clinic specified no codeine. It's impossible to figure out what we can and can't take!

Purplefoxes · 20/05/2022 09:08

Cat2hop · 19/05/2022 14:23

@Purplefoxes yep, time is dragging! When are you having your first scan? I won't be seeing my GP for another 2 weeks 🙈 I had hoped it could be next week because am worried things might not turn out, but then also feel like that might jinx it.

@Cat2hop my official will be 12 weeks but I have to admit I'm thinking about booking a private for 8 or 10 weeks for some reassurance. How about you? I haven't referred yet so need to get onto that, didn't want to jinx it but so far so good 🤞

LemonZestDribbles · 20/05/2022 10:23

@mrsgtobe97 @Cb31 yay on the scans what lovely news!

Welcome everyone new!

Anyone not phoned the midwife yet? I feel like I'm tempting fate if I do 🙈 will need to bite the bullet on Monday.

sparklyhippo · 20/05/2022 10:32

Had period like cramping last night in lower abdomen before I went to bed and woken up with the same today, it’s been on and off all morning. Really hoping it’s not a bad sign but can’t help worrying! No bleeding or anything, just cramps. Anyone else had similar?

@sparklyhippo how far along are you? I had serious cramps from 4-5 weeks but now they've really eased off. I still get the odd light cramping but no where near what it was and I'm 6w2. Supposedly it's completely normal although I was the same and it worried me x

fancyfrogs · 20/05/2022 11:13

@LemonZestDribbles I haven't - if it's the same as my last pregnancy I can't self refer and have to take urine sample to my GP then they refer me. Im off work today and have sat contemplating ringing them but I'm also worried about tempting fate at 4+5! 🙈

brogan12 · 20/05/2022 11:48

@sparklyhippo I've had a few slight cramps over the past week. They have seem to have dyed down now and the test I done this morning the line was super dark so I think everything is okay and it is normal

@LemonZestDribbles I've made contact with my gp who do like a referral form to the midwife. I literally done that the day I tested, 9 days ago and still waiting to hear from the midwife to be booked in 😂 6w+2d today

Amber17 · 20/05/2022 12:13

@LemonZestDribbles Yup! Phoned on Monday, finally got to speak to them today after some voicemail back and forth. Booked in for first appointment 14th June!

I’m 4 weeks 2 days so similar to how you were. That’s reassuring to hear thank you x

sparklyhippo · 20/05/2022 12:20

@brogan12 thanks, good to hear I’m not the only one! Test for me was dark today as well so hoping it’s nothing bad!

MrsGrealish · 20/05/2022 12:22

@sparklyhippo I'm nearly 5 weeks with sore cramps. They eased up yesterday but are back with a vengeance 😞

TerrazzoChips · 20/05/2022 12:36

@LemonZestDribbles I haven’t! It feels too soon. I’m 5 weeks and booked in for a scan at my IVF clinic at 6w4d and if there’s a heartbeat then I’ll make contact with the midwife.

When do most people self refer?

I’m hoping all will be well, been having some very strong pregnancy tests where the control line is barely there but the test line is super strong.
