I know this is very early but I wanted to start a thread for those with a January 2023 due date.

I got my BFP 2 days ago and am about 4 weeks pregnant today. I already have a little boy born in November 2020 and I’m super excited for him to get a sibling but I know it’s early days and have had 2 early miscarriages in the past so slightly nervous too!

@LouiseD2018 hey lovely, sorry to hear about your spotting, I've had some pink and brown spotting for two days now and I've convinced myself I've lost the baby again, we have a scan Sunday and I'm so scared x

Keeping my fingers crossed for you @Moosh18 it's so worrying isn't it. Glad you have your scan booked, I hope it goes well and you are reassured afterwards. I felt so much better, the relief was just unreal!

I have read lots of posts about people spotting around 5-7 weeks sometimes a bit longer and things have turned out OK 🤞🤞🤞

Babycakes1989 · 12/05/2022 19:28

Hey ladies 👋 Due 18th Jan. Just over 4 weeks. Had mmc before my son who is now 2 & half. Been ttc no 2 for 8 months and 2 chemical pregnancy’s at 5 weeks. So like many of you this is not an enjoyable experience so far… taking each day as it comes and pray we can get past the 5 week mark this time. Got a gnae appt at the end of the month because I’ve got a Mc history but may still keep it for advice. Also sh*tting myself because I did a private online intolorence / hormone balance test and it came back saying my thyroid is highly unbalanced so now panicking I have a thyroid problem which was potentially the reason behind the 2 chemicals. Should get my gp blood results tomorrow and if so crack on with some medication if the case 🤞🏼 Wishing lots of sticky baby dust to you all xxxx

Hana89 · 12/05/2022 19:44

@LouiseD2018 and @Moosh18 my best friends sister is currently 7 months pregnant with her first. She had a lot of spotting and even one moderate bleed at 6 weeks but all was well and her pregnancy has been smooth sailing since! Xx

Cb31 · 12/05/2022 19:54

@Lifeafterloss22 thanks for passing on those tips, they've really helped me today. Good to know you can call Tommy's for support. Hope you're doing ok x

candlemaker22 · 13/05/2022 00:58

Hi, dipping my toe in, just tested positive but I've had 4 losses in the past year so I'm hoping to stay this time!

Still currently testing to make sure it's not a chemical. I'm excited but cautious.

babyjellyfish · 13/05/2022 02:14

Hi @candlemaker22 . So sorry to hear about your losses. I had five before eventually getting lucky on my 6th attempt. My little boy was born last April. I'm now 5 weeks pregnant with what I hope will be our second baby. Fingers crossed for us both.

Hi all, hesitantly coming to join... Had a positive at 13DPO. This is my first pregnancy.

How soon did you contact midwife (or GP if you can't self refer)? I feel like they'll laugh at me ringing at 3+3!

Cat2hop · 13/05/2022 11:56

Congrats!
I guess it depends on your history! I'm 4+5 today, second pregnancy (one chemical that I know of but within that 4th week). First time around I found out when period was 4 days late, left it a week and then saw GP in that 6th week. Was certain of LMP and had a regular cycle and no high risk features so didn't do an early dating scan or anything.
This time I found out CD 29, my GP's earliest appointment will put me at 6+5 which I'm fine with - and also if it doesn't stick before then I'll cancel
If you book super early they'll prob just do the bloods and organise any scans you need for the appropriate date - a positive is a positive! There's a bit of a protocol as to what tests in what week.

Hi @Amber17 I don't think it's too early to call the GP. It could be beneficial if you are on any medication etc as they can advise how to proceed with it or if you need to stop it

Pebblee · 13/05/2022 12:03

Hello,

Hoping to join this group.

I was following the thread TTC for a January baby and thought I was out after 2 negative tests.

I went to the hospital for an appointment unrelated to pregnancy and they confirmed I was pregnant with 2 very dark tests.

Tested a few times since so confident I can join here now.

Congratulations to everyone!!

I still have that feeling in my stomach as if af of going to arrive, was due to come on last Sunday

SweetPeaPods · 13/05/2022 12:50

@Amber17 our local midwife told me to phone back after 5 and a half weeks. She was not interested in taking any details at 4 weeks but advised I would still be seen at 8 weeks. I believe each area is different though but she was clear she wouldn't take any details until period was definitely late.

Hana89 · 13/05/2022 14:27

How is everyone feeling today?

Can I just ask: is anyone else having mad heartburn? I have small bouts of regular nausea but the acid and gas (sorry for tmi) is something else. I'm 5w 5d so it feels a bit early for this!

Cat2hop · 13/05/2022 14:59

@Hana89 thanks for asking! I'm not 5 weeks yet so hoping morning sickness symptoms stay away for a while - or completely. But have not felt great today and yesterday, super tired and achey and now runny nose - toddler has been sick so think I've just caught that. But am peeing frequently.
Heartburn is so annoying!!!

Hana89 · 13/05/2022 15:10

@Cat2hop congratulations on your BFP! 💖 The whole of week 4 for me was one big snooze fest! Thankfully the fatigue has let up slightly this week - I've been staying awake until 10pm some days! Wooo! Party animal over here! 🎊 🤣🤣🤣
I really hope you and your little one both feel better soon xx

brogan12 · 13/05/2022 15:20

@Hana89 5 weeks 2 days here and I'm absolutely exhausted but yet can't sleep! My toddler has croup at the moment too so keeping me on my toes! Sickness hasn't set in properly yet, touch wood! God the times going so slow isn't it?!

Hana89 · 13/05/2022 15:57

@brogan12 Oh no! Poor you! The exhaustion/insomnia combo is so unfair and I'm sorry to hear your little one is suffering too. 💖💖

Personally, I don't mind the nausea so much (when it happens) but the heartburn is grim and it doesn't seem to be on the normal list of very early pregnancy symptoms. I'm trying to be grateful for all my symptoms but this one is testing me! 🤣

mrsgtobe97 · 13/05/2022 20:05

Absolutely just freaked myself out because I got a 3+ on a digi last Saturday, just took one now and it's 2-3, can't stop crying and thinking the worst :(

brogan12 · 13/05/2022 20:10

@mrsgtobe97 try not to worry! Could it just be the case of it not being your fmu? Xx

I'm hoping so, might do another tomorrow with FMU and hopefully that will reassure me :( xxx

LemonZestDribbles · 13/05/2022 22:13

Very very very tentatively joining. Got a bfp on a OS 3 days ago. Frer I've had two good lines the past two afternoons - been so strange that fmu hasn't been strongest for me! My dh and I have very luckily conceived 1st time which has come as a shock as ds took 7 months.

I think my due date is around 22nd January. I've had bad indigestion all week, lots of little poppy bubble and stretching cramps as well as nausea. Gearing myself up for thr proper nausea hitting around 6 weeks like last time 🙈

My ds was born in September 2020.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and joining the fb group if possible

MummytoNeive · 14/05/2022 07:03

i too am suffering with awful indigestion and heartburn already. I’m 4+2 going by my LMP. I’ve been having minor cramps and stretchy feelings also. Wishing you all positive baby dust xxxx❤

mrsgtobe97 · 14/05/2022 07:16

My digital is 3+ with FMU, stopping testing now 🥲 xx
