Good morning ladies,

Happy Friday! So nice to read through all the stories and lovely scan pictures. Congrats to those who have already got through 1st trimester. For the rest, we just need to endure a little longer. 💪

I went for my last early reassurance scan yesterday and everything was fine. Little one was wiggling 🥰. I am 10+3 today. Due date will be 20/12.

Anyone thinking of what skincare and make up products etc we can use? I am thinking if I need to get better shampoos and shower gels.

Chanel05 · 27/05/2022 09:52

@MrsWindrush with my dd my sickness kicked in at exactly 6 weeks and then disappeared at 16+2. I kept waiting for it to go at 12 weeks like I'd read everywhere but it wasn't like that for me!!

tasha4eva10 · 27/05/2022 10:01

Morning ladies hope everyone is ok.

Well I'm struggling quite a bit atm with acid reflux had it on and off this last few days to the point I vomited last night 🙈 is anyone else getting it this early?

Is anyone else also struggling with meals? I'm constantly having to eat little and often to keep sickness at bay but only managing 1 main meal a day atm which I'm having for dinner but that is leaving me feeling so sick almost straight away due to feeling it's sitting heavy etc. I have a history of cancer so I'm worried if it is pregnancy related or something more sinister

stuntbubbles · 27/05/2022 11:05

@MrsWindrush With my first, sickness started at 7 weeks and continued to 27 weeks. A nice week of respite before the haemorrhoids kicked in Grin

@Luckyme2022 You can use whatever you have been using, really. The only thing to watch out for is acid toners that leave you more susceptible to the sun, I think, and up your suntan lotion number. But by and large, hair dye, makeup, skincare etc is all fine.

F03t · 27/05/2022 11:12

I had my dating scan on Wednesday and baby was doing well - pic attached :) any gender guesses welcome!

Very pleased to see and hopefully for some comfort to others - my symptoms disappeared about 9 weeks and I was worried sick but all was OK. Awaiting on the combined screening results and keeping my fingers crossed for low risk.

Only thing that I thought was unusual was the sonographer said they dont listen to baby's heartbeat so didnt get to hear it - has anyone else had this?

@F03t I'm not very experienced at these but based on the skull shape I reckon boy!

lovesT · 27/05/2022 11:58

A very bouncy baby on the scan this morning! The sonographer was trying to get measurements and baby was bouncing all over the place 😅 kept jiggling my tummy to get baby into a better position. We got a little wave at the end and I'm measuring a few days ahead and am 13 weeks 🥰🥰 so pleased ❤️ new due date 2nd December ❤️

Hi all,

It wasn't good news for me today at my NHS scan. The baby had stopped developing at 9 weeks. Bit of a shock as had a private scan at 9 weeks where everything was fine and my symptoms were still there. Feeling pretty distraught and unsure about immediate next steps but wondering what my life will be like and whether I will ever have children. Sorry to bring the mood down.

Best of luck to everyone in their pregnancy! Stay happy and healthy xxx

hopefulsunshine11 · 27/05/2022 12:44

@F03t I had my scan yesterday and I queried the heartbeat as she said oh you can see it and I asked if it had a good heart rate and she said oh we don't measure it. I'm in east of Scotland so I think it depends where you are for the detail of the scan. My wee one was wiggling around too, not the clearest scan and no NT measurement but just glad baby is healthy!

siobhanmt247 · 27/05/2022 12:44

@KokoNights I am so so sorry for your loss. Take care if yourself and make sure you've got lots of support around you x

Laughingmole · 27/05/2022 12:52

@KokoNights sorry for you loss xxx

@F03t I heard the heartbeat at my scan but she only put it on for about 10 seconds.

hopefulsunshine11 · 27/05/2022 13:10

@KokoNights So sorry. I hope you are ok and have lots of support. Take care of yourself and time to recover 💐.

5manc · 27/05/2022 13:32

@KokoNights I'm so sorry for your loss ❤️ thinking of you xx

@MrsWindrush hopefully a positive(ish) story for you and one else still feeling sick - I am 12 weeks tomorrow and my sickness has completely eased since Monday (11+2)! It started around week 5/6 and was throwing up daily! Ended on a low as I couldn't keep anything down at all last week and ending up in hospital last Friday on a drip but then made some sort of miraculous recovery on Monday, just hope I'm not speaking too soon! I still have a few nauseous moments (usually to do with smells rather than eating) but no sick since Sunday 🙌😂

lovesT · 27/05/2022 13:36

@F03t my symptoms also very much calmed down around 9 weeks, didn't disappear but felt way better and my scan today was all good!

I also didn't get to hear the heartbeat but thinking about it I didn't get to hear it until 16 weeks with my daughter at the 16 week appointment 😊

candyflossxox · 27/05/2022 13:42

New to this app. And due in December !

LolaJ87 · 27/05/2022 14:21

DogsAndGin · 27/05/2022 17:06

@KokoNights I'm so sorry for your news today. In time, you may feel ready to try again, and have your rainbow baby. Take good care of yourself xx

Phoenixwings1989 · 27/05/2022 17:11

@KokoNights i am so sorry for your loss. Take care and surround yourself with as much as support as you can.

Phoenixwings1989 · 27/05/2022 17:18

I am 8+1 today. Still waiting for my first appointment. Have been trying to book one since I found out I was pregnant and nothing. Frustrating! I am due to take another pregnancy test in the morning then ring the EPU if it's positive to arrange an early scan to make sure everything is okay.

Nausea appears without warning when I'm eating or drinking so lose my appetite/thirst quite a bit. Still ridiculously tired too.

Pinkfig · 27/05/2022 17:34

@KokoNights im so sorry, we lost our baby between 9 and 10 weeks last year and it's heartbreaking. Take time for yourself and cry when you need to x

stuntbubbles · 27/05/2022 17:46

@KokoNights I’m so sorry, what a horrific shock for you. I’m wishing you the time and comfort you need to heal your heart.

AG96 · 27/05/2022 17:58

KokoNights I'm so sorry for your loss

Got my screening results back today, so a week and a half from my scan for those wondering how long it takes. Though obviously could be different for different trusts. All came back low risk so all good
