@caulkheaded

Anyone have Badgernet notes from their midwife? I self registered at the hospital we’d want to use and they’ve sent a link to the Badger app. Not sure if it’s for the whole country or just a local thing here - so many questions though!
Sorry never heard of Badgernet before?!
lovesT · 15/04/2022 10:30

@DogTired22 should be about 7 weeks on Sunday x

lovesT · 15/04/2022 10:34

I still have really sore boobs and feel tired but feel worried that the nausea has calmed down x

Yeah I’ve been asked to create a BadgerNotes account and I downloaded the app, my midwife said my passphrase was my DOB but I’ve been trying to create an account and it’s telling me the sign up info is wrong? I’ve asked midwife but not had a response yet.. I want to get signed up so I can start filling out the pre booking forms!

@Tofu35

Oh wow I didn't expect so many posts to catch up on this morning! You're all in a very chatty mood! Welcome to anyone who has just joined, we're a friendly bunch :)

I'm being weirdly superstitious about putting my name on the calendar, I'll probably do it after my scan comes back okay.

@cp22 sounds like a great bag, where are you getting the biscuits from? I picked up some from Morrisons recently and they didn't have the crunch or enough ginger for my liking. Let's hear your expert opinion!

I’ve only had Tesco ones so far which seem to do the job but I’m sure I’ll work my way round all the supermarkets in the next few months 😂
caulkheaded · 15/04/2022 10:44

@PinkFizz1 yes, I had the same. It took about ten attempts and suddenly it worked (same info- email and dob)

Tofu35 · 15/04/2022 11:00

@caulkheaded makes me laugh to think of all these internet security risks and data leaks when it takes so many attempts to get onto a NHS approved app. Think we're safe with this one 😂 I have the link to badgernote but need to wait to find my password after the midwife appt.

@cp22 I'll need to try them! With your ginger biscuits and @BuchananBaby oatie biscuits, we'll get through this trimester one snack at a time!

Morning All (my DD had me up at 6am 😩) we've got friends coming round this afternoon for a BBQ and drinks. I'm going to look so ovbiously pregnant:

  1. not drinking (can't use driving as an excuse)
  2. I've spent the entire morning retching, no idea how I'm going to explain that.

Also really fancy cauliflower cheese!

Hope you're all having a good start to the Easter weekend!

Hi ladies, I've been having strong cramps today for the first time, which also happen to coincide with my period due date (which is either today or tomorrow). They're pretty strong cramps and the type that I would usually get just before my period.

I'm 3+6 weeks today, I'm guessing this might not be good news? I suppose I could just wait and see what happens later today but wanted to share as the wait is awful.

Grateful for any insights or thoughts - if anything it's nice to share 🙂

Skylark1990 · 15/04/2022 12:12

@AfterBathingAtBaxters it cod very well be implantation cramps. Cramps often last for a few days or weeks in early pregnancy! Try not to worry, you should know I'm a day or two either way. When did you get your bfp?
I'm 16dpo now, period was due two days ago and having some cramps today a bit stronger than they have been last few days. Also hoping everything is ok as I did a test this morning and it was still 1-2 weeks, same as Monday. I know it can take a while for the HCG to rise tho! 😬

Hi, I’m in the exact same position. 3+6 and cramping a lot. Not feeling great about it. Also done another test and it’s barely got darker since my last one two days ago. I hate these early days. So much worry!
Mommabear20 · 15/04/2022 13:45

Well I'm 6+6 and official retiring my normal jeans 😂 I went out with my mum this morning, and while they were marvellous at holding everything in slightly, I was so uncomfortable the whole morning! I'm now chilling with DS while he naps on me, in my pyjama bottoms 😂 looks like it's leggings and pyjamas for the next few weeks 🤣

AfterBathingAtBaxters · 15/04/2022 13:55

@Skylark1990 Are these week indicator tests accurate? I never thought of using one to be honest. You might be right that the hormone levels can take a while to pick up.

Looks like we're on similar timelines but I'm not exactly sure when I ovulated as my ovulation monitor broke last month (typical!). I should be 14-16 DPO, though. Got my positive test a couple of days ago and I'll test again tomorrow (assuming I can). We've been trying for a long time so this has been a real confidence boost for us, just knowing that we can conceive.

AfterBathingAtBaxters · 15/04/2022 13:59

@Jj19 Hey, nice to have someone that's also still early days! Have you already gone past your period due date? I feel like that's a hurdle to get over first before I can feel a bit "more pregnant" 😅 Is this your first?

littlecontis · 15/04/2022 14:32

@Mommabear20 I am not even gonna attempt to wear my jeans, so bloated! I started browsing on love leggings, their high waisted leggings look good and not too expensive, they've also got a maternity range!

Tofu35 · 15/04/2022 14:43

@littlecontis @mommabear20 I have a pair of Sweaty Betty leggings that claim to have 4D stretch. Which I thought was nonsense, until I put them on today when I couldn't face my jeans. So comfy!
Tried to buy another pair in the sale but ended up with ones that were compression leggings. Very depressing when they couldn't go above my knee- I'll just stick to the ones I have Smile

littlecontis · 15/04/2022 14:46

@Tofu35 ohhh I got a few pairs from the sale a few weeks ago. Which ones are the 4D stretch ones? 😂

DogsAndGin · 15/04/2022 14:55

Hi @AfterBathingAtBaxters I am 5+1 and my tummy cramps have just eased off. I was getting period-like pains for a good week last week, and they were so sore as to cause concern. They’ve eased off now. My DSis has assured me she was very much the same, and her pregnancy was perfect 😊

Jj19 · 15/04/2022 15:56

I’m not entirely sure as my cycles are so irregular. I have a very short luteal phase too. This is my second baby but fourth pregnancy as I’ve had two losses at 6 weeks. That’s my hurdle. Both times I had a gut feeling early on that things weren’t going to go well though. This time I’m feeling ok. What number is it for you?

PinkFizz1 · 15/04/2022 16:05

@caulkheaded I’ve tried about 20 times a day for the past couple of days and still no joy. Midwife is not working this weekend so I’m not expecting a response but it’s so frustrating that I can’t get on and do the forms!

BuchananBaby · 15/04/2022 16:39

I'm just catching up we've had a busy day! My hormones are absolutely raging today 🙈 my dp is annoying me and he's not even home that's how bad they are 🙈😂😂😂

My lovely Daughter hasn't stopped crying all day because she's tired but won't sleep and I'm exhausted too 😅 dinner and bed for us both shortly I think 😴

AfterBathingAtBaxters · 15/04/2022 16:40

@DogsAndGin That's a very kind and reassuring response. I know we're all different but it helps hearing about the experience of others. I'm feeling a little better right now, the cramps seemed to have eased off.

Do you think you'll be going for an early scan or will you wait for the 12 week one? Where I am, the first midwife appointment would be around the 6-8 week mark, I think but the scan is much later. Seems like a long wait but I guess for a reason.

AfterBathingAtBaxters · 15/04/2022 16:48

@Jj19 I'm very sorry to hear about your losses. I imagine that going through those symptoms is very tough because of what you've experienced. ❤
What helps me is to take one day at a time and have a lot of "me time" to unwind. I was off work today and had a nice hot chocolate and a couple of hours with a jigsaw puzzle 😊 It won't take the worry away completely but it does help!

This would be baby number one for us but it's been a long time coming. Fingers crossed for us 🤞Sending you positive vibes and keep us updated on how things are going!

HayleyBean · 15/04/2022 17:33

@caulkheaded you're not from the Isle of Wight are you? We use badger notes here. I'm just waiting until the 6 week mark so I can refer myself
