Congratulations @quinnbaby how exciting! X

CP22 · 20/04/2022 16:34

@quinnbaby wow congratulations!!

LolaJ87 · 20/04/2022 16:57

@littlecontis I've been unsure about shopping online for bras because I'm so uncomfortable I want to make sure anything I get fits well. On my WFH days I've been living in a stretchy sports bra!

Just 48 hours until my first scan now... The nerves are really kicking in. For those of you who've had an early scan, were most of them abdominal or vaginal? I'd just like to know what to expect....even just in terms of what to wear to make things easiest!

littlecontis · 20/04/2022 17:00

@LolaJ87 that's really true about online shopping. I should go to the shop and try some on. The scan that I would be booking would be vaginal, they'd be able to see more at such early stage.

LolaJ87 · 20/04/2022 17:09

@littlecontis that makes sense to me too. The place I'm going offer both but didn't specify what my scan would be. I'm at that point where I'm overthinking all the small things! It's all just so new.

I had an early scan today which was done vaginally. I wore a dress which worked well! It was a comfortable experience and all went fine for me apart from twins!

BuchananBaby · 20/04/2022 17:26

Baby brain strikes again was getting DD's bottle ready for bed and my DP was looking at me like 🤨 and he's like eh is it not a bit early, I thought it was nearly half 6 🙈😂😂

Laughingmole · 20/04/2022 17:34

@quinnbaby congrats on your twin news!
I would love twins but DP is terrified we won’t be able to cope with them.

Had my booking appointment this afternoon so it’s all feeling a bit more real now. The midwife was lovely and she will be the same one I see all through the pregnancy.
Had bloods and urine test done. They said I’ll only get the results if there’s something to be concerned about. And all being well, I will stay midwife led care.
So all good so far!

Laughingmole · 20/04/2022 17:38

@LolaJ87
I went bra shopping yesterday in Matalan. I’ve gone up a whole cup size. But managed to find some nice comfy ones!

Krista1991 · 20/04/2022 17:58

Hey!

is anyone else very emotional 😭?

I am in tears all day and have no reason to cry 😢 🤦🏼‍♀️🙈😂

embob993 · 20/04/2022 18:04

@LolaJ87my private scan was abdominal because the place I booked it in for didn't do the internal ones 😊 I wore a dress and tights and only needed to pull my tights down. I had a hospital one today and wore trousers because I knew they'd do an abdominal one but its easiest wearing a dress if it's an internal one as saves the hassle of undressing! I hope all goes well ❤ let us know how you get on!

@krista1991 aww I hope you're okay!! Yes my emotions have been up and down over the last few weeks. From irritable to everything making me cry! When things make me cry (like something on telly) I can feel my nipples tingle too, it's so odd 🤣

embob993 · 20/04/2022 18:06

So I've had an NHS scan today after being in hospital at the weekend and they measured me at 7 weeks 6 days 🤣 wasn't as clear a photo as apparently my bladder was very full. So I'm mega confused about my due date! According to them I'm due 1st December 🙈 I'll go with that unless I'm told otherwise

Amphibian94 · 20/04/2022 18:44

@quinnbaby what lovely news! Congrats! I bet that was a lovely shock!

I've been so behind with this thread gals my nausea this week has been awful!!!!! I can barely eat, I was sick for the first time yesterday but just have constant nausea... I feel hungover. Urgg.

How is everyone getting on? I'm 8 weeks on Saturday and have my next viability scan on Monday, really hoping to see the heartbeat again.

Xx

siobhanmt247 · 20/04/2022 18:46

Hi all
i hope you don’t mind me joining in. I’ve read through the whole thread and you guys seem a lot more reassuring than the pregnant women on peanut

im due December 19th. No other children but I had an MMC last October. I’ve been really worried about lack of symptoms, I was happier for a little bit about getting a 3+ on a CBD before 5 weeks but my hcg levels we’re still very high when I miscarried so I guess that’s not much to go on. My boobs are definitely bigger but not sore, I have cramps everyday (mild period-like cramps but just one side ) and I’ve been getting tired, dizzy and breathless but no nausea :(

Jj19 · 20/04/2022 19:15

I agree @siobhanmt247 everyone seems so lovely on here! I’m in a Facebook group for my first baby after we all met on one of these forums. Some of us are really good friends now! Would anyone else be up for having a private fb group to be able to chat more easily?

BuchananBaby · 20/04/2022 19:24

@Jj19 I think a private fb page would be fab, I'm not sure how to make one though anyone know what they're doing?

Jj19 · 20/04/2022 19:33

@BuchananBaby I can have a go at setting one up. It would obviously be private so I’d have to share my Facebook and people would have to add me as a friend and I’d invite them to to group. As obviously you wouldn’t be able to search for it.

Only if people would be up for it though…

BuchananBaby · 20/04/2022 19:37

@Jj19 I may have figured it out! I have a link so I'll pm you it on here and see if it works first, completely set to private and can't find it if not invited

pinkunicorns54 · 20/04/2022 19:47

@BuchananBaby @Jj19

we have one for my first baby, was a lifeline!

We called it something unrelated to pregnancy and made it public, whilst people joined - and then made it private again! There was a question that had to be answered like 'how did you know about this group?'

This has to happen a few times as others wanted to join from the thread (some felt uneasy joining before 12 weeks etc).

It's been such a fab support! And still is!

BuchananBaby · 20/04/2022 19:59

Right I think l can invite people using this link, would someone mind giving it a try?

baby2in2022 · 20/04/2022 20:02

@Jj19 @BuchananBaby

I'm definitely up for joining the Facebook group. I'm still on one from when I had my son it's been a huge support.

baby2in2022 · 20/04/2022 20:06

@BuchananBaby

Doesn't work for me. Says content unavailable because owner only shared it with a small group of people xx

Jj19 · 20/04/2022 20:08

Ok plan B….
If someone can add me as a friend on Fb and I’ll add you to the group. Then you can delete me :)
