So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

@Mommabear20 Hope your talk goes well! I'm sure once it's sank in and he's got his head around it he will be fine 🥰

My symptoms have previously kicked in around 8/9 weeks so I'm dreading it 😂 Feel like I need to enjoy these days whilst I can haha

@BuchananBaby My other craving was lemon and sugar pancakes 🤤 Oh wow did you just live off maccies then? Haha

BuchananBaby · 02/04/2022 10:11

@LolaJ87 you're pregnancy shouldn't be impacted at all because of your weight aslong as you're healthy and happy that's all that matters.

@FlowerJ luckily enough my craving normally hit at 11pm and we had just moved so mcdonalds was a 15 min drive instead of a 2 min drive which meant I couldn't be arsed going 😂

I was really lucky with DD I didn't have many symptoms just feeling quite sick alot especially if I didn't eat think that's why I'm no longer a 12 😂 wonder what I'll get hit with this time 🙈

Feeling so anxious these last few days 😫 booked my scan for 2 weeks when I'll be 8 weeks but now wishing it was sooner! Anyone else obsessing? Xxx

LolaJ87 · 02/04/2022 11:10

@BuchananBaby thanks so much, that really helps.

@Milamight yes absolutely, constantly obsessing and wishing to skip ahead to where I know everything is ok. It’s so tough to accept that we just have to wait and see!

I'm with you, I'm feeling pretty anxious too! I also booked an early scan, but now realise it might be a bit TOO early as i'll only be around 6+4 but I was struggling to find a time I could fit it in without me and my partner having to get out of work.. My cramps have been mild but constant, I'm still hoping this is normal. I have occasionally been getting sharper pains in the very lower right side of my abdomen (not super painful, but enough to notice it and make me worry!) and have been noticing it a bit more in the last few hours - has anyone else experienced this?

I imagine we're all going to worry at times and get a bit anxious, especially this early on and when waiting for scans etc. It's nice to know we can post in here and be there for each other when needed ☺️ x

littlecontis · 02/04/2022 12:54

Hello! Please can I join? I had my first BFP yesterday and we're over the moon. I am very excited but nervous. According to the NHS calculator our first baby's due date would be 9 Dec. I submitted a self referral form yesterday and will be waiting for them to contact me for an appointment. Really nerve racking 🥲

Due December 2022 ❤👶

Hope you are all feeling good ladies. Need to catch up with these messages properly. It's been a busy day or two. I got referred to the EPU at my local hospital as the cramping got really bad. They scanned and took bloods. They said the scan looked good (they couldn't see anything) but the lining of the uterus was thickening?? Anyway one of the nurses was really lovely and the other was basically saying "yeah cramping
Is definitely not normal" and didn't say anything to reassure me (I've had miscarriages in the past). She also said that my chemicals didn't count as miscarriages .. even though they were a week or two after my period was due. I felt like crying it just seemed so harsh. I know I'm just being sensitive. Anyway bloods cape back today at 199 ? I'm meant to be 4 weeks. They are taking blood again tomorrow. Not sure if that sounds normal.

FlowerJ · 02/04/2022 13:55

@BuchananBaby Haha love that 😂 Imagine if you'd still only been 2 mins away!

@PinkLemonade03 My cramps have been consistent too and have been more painful on my left side 🤔 I remember with my DS I mentioned it at my 12 week scan and they said it was because I had a little cyst which is quite common in pregnancy apparently (not saying yours is the same but just a thought 🙂). Anyways it didn't cause any issues, they just left it alone and it had reabsorbed by 20 weeks . I think cramps are only an issue if its severe and constant.

@littlecontis Welcome and congrats! You've reminded me I need to book mine haha

@lottie222 sorry to hear you've been having a hard time 😔 That midwife sounds completely insensitive! Cramping is most definitely normal so long as its like period cramping and not severe. The cramping is caused by the uterus getting ready for baby. Abnormal cramping would be severe, sharp, consistent pain. Your chemicals most definitely count as miscarriages and are still a loss. Just because it was super early doesn't make it any easier or any less traumatic 😔 I'm not sure on HCG levels but all I know is that they take a baseline (your 199) and will check to make sure its doubled 🙂 I Hope some of that info helps, insensitive midwives annoy me, they just don't realise how their words really can stick with you and get you down 😔
KittyKat1989 · 02/04/2022 14:00

I’m still impatiently waiting for symptoms to start properly. I’ve had mild cramps with some painful twinges, and I keep grabbing my boobs to check if they hurt yet Grin

Hope you all have nice, relaxing plans for the weekend?

lottie222 · 02/04/2022 14:10

Thanks @FlowerJ it was quite harsh. She just said "yeah we don't count them as miscarriages". I felt like saying "but why???" But she was probing me with the internal scan thing and I just felt really vulnerable. It's weird because the nurse I spoke to on the phone was really sensitive and sympathetic and this nurse was more senior but less kind. I know they have an extremely demanding a tough job so I put it down to tiredness.

lottie222 · 02/04/2022 14:11

@FlowerJ I just saw your last post about cramps on the left side. I have exact the same too!

embob993 · 02/04/2022 17:08

I've been thinking about you and how you've been @lottie222. I'm sorry you've had a rubbish experience! It's such a sensitive time and compassion isn't much to ask for. A positive means you're pregnant and any change in that is a loss. I had a similar experience when I was going through tests after my mc. I'm glad youre being seen to though to know what's going on ❤ sending you lots of love and baby dust xx

I've started with nausea today 🤢 seems to come on when I'm hungry. And I've just had a moaning meltdown because the washing basket is full again. My poor OH 🤣

😂 moaning about laundry basket, I totally get it! I had a long nap this afternoon but still feeling exhausted. Just woke and now debating whether to have Thai or Chinese takeaway tonight...!
lottie222 · 02/04/2022 18:00

@embob993 thank you for your kind words. Ps. When is the wash basket never full??? Grin

lottie222 · 02/04/2022 18:01

Mommabear20 · 02/04/2022 19:20

The talk didn't go well. He wants me to get an abortion 😭 he said it's my decision, but I'm either killing an innocent baby or my marriage basically ends. I can't even look at him right now.

BuchananBaby · 02/04/2022 19:34

Aww @Mommabear20 I'm so sorry! Sending love ❤️ x

PinkLemonade03 · 02/04/2022 21:15

I'm keeping my baby.
I'll tell him tonight.
I think I'm gonna give him the pregnancy to see if he changes his mind, but if his actions during that time tell me he won't, then I'll be seriously thinking about leaving, I want all my kids to be happy.

5manc · 03/04/2022 09:51

@Mommabear20 I'm sorry for what you are going through but I'm glad you made that decision! I hope it all works itself out for you ❤️
