So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

@TheFantastic7 honestly, I'd love 6! DH doesn't want more than 2 though so this isn't going to go down well! And tbh I'm freaking out about the timing of this one!
I've got 1 of each and their pregnancies were remarkably similar, I was convinced DS was going to be a girl! I'll be happy with either this time round but I'd prefer a girl, I always feel that my DD is a little friend (yes I know I'm her parent ) but my DD is my little prince 😂 I could have 2 little friends but I don't want him to have to share that title! I know that sounds crazy!

TheFantastic7 · 01/04/2022 13:53

@Mommabear20 haha I wish I'd of took a picture of DHs face when announcing this pregnancy, he looked like he needed to cry while showing a smile to cover it, a few days later and he's waking me up in the middle of the night too show me 'this brilliant double buggy that would be ideal for this baby and youngest DD' i do love him haha!
I also 100% get what you mean! I've said this one HAS to be a boy then ill have 3 of eachGrin but just a healthy sticky bean will do me nicely deep downSmile

FlowerJ · 01/04/2022 13:55

@TheFantastic7 Definitely feeling the tiredness here! I've spent all day laid in bed whilst my DS watches tele. I'm shattered!

@Meowcat89 I was like that with my DD, barely had any symptoms at all in the first trimester!

So glad I'm not the only one who thinks this ! 😂 I said the same to my OH last night. (We have 1 of each). I feel I could happily have another girl and would feel fine about it but having another boy makes me feel super emosh as I just don't feel like I could share him 😂 He is my little baby 😭 Does that sound crazy?!

Mommabear20 · 01/04/2022 14:04

@FlowerJ he's my little man! I love him dearly and I definitely don't have a favourite but I can imagine taking 2 girls out for a mummy daughter day but I just can't imagine taking 2 boys and it being as special 🤷‍♀️
DH wanted another girl with DS so I think once he gets over the shock, he'll want a girl too

Mommabear20 · 01/04/2022 14:05

Does anyone have any names yet? I know it's early but we struggled so much with picking a name for DS (but had about 6 girls names!) that it's consumed me already 😂

Nutella99 · 01/04/2022 14:13

@Mommabear20 We talked about names yesterday briefly then decided it's too hard and will leave that discussion for a few months!

Yeah I fully understand what you mean. I love them both equally 🥰 DD is definitely a daddy's girl though lol
Yeah my OH was the same. He wanted another girl as that's all he'd known for 5 years. He was so used to Princess dresses and barbies 😂
I've definitely thought about names but not dwelled on it too much yet. We've had a much easier time thinking of girl names then boy names! We seriously struggled to find anything we liked with DS

LolaJ87 · 01/04/2022 14:39

I did the chinese zodiac thing for a laugh and it says mine will be a boy Hmm

3 of my closest friends gave birth within about a year of eachother and all had girls, maybe I'll be the combo breaker Grin I don't mind either way, I just want it to stick.

hollyanna87 · 01/04/2022 14:53

We haven't been actively trying but haven't been trying to stop anything happening since November, and we got our BFP on Wednesday after AF didn't come and I was waking in the night, super gassy and full of heartburn.

Due date is looking to be December 4th. Partner is clearly super excited although he's trying to tamp it down as I said it's very early days.

Aside from the crazy 3am Insomnia and heartburn, it's been quite nice so far!

Meowcat89 · 01/04/2022 15:00
@Meowcat89 it goes too show that every woman is different! I too would think if you have lived with endometriosis you unlikely to notice a few cramps here and there! Maybe you'll be lucky and have the smoothest pregnancy, one can hopeGrin i am peeing more actually but no change to boobs!
Haha that would be the dream! I just imagined I'd get every symptom going although I probably will eventually!

In terms of names I've got a list of stuff I like the sound of but I just don't know. At least we have plenty of time to decide 😊

LolaJ87 · 01/04/2022 15:16

@hollyanna87 That's similar to myself and my husband, we were expecting to need more intervention/trying for this to happen, but it seems we've been lucky! I'm a day ahead of you and had my BFP the day before you haha. Is it your first too?

embob993 · 01/04/2022 19:09

I'm not too bad with tiredness this week but last week I was exhausted and was in bed before 9 all weekend! I've had a good giggle at some of these conversations but the way 🤣

My nipples are sooo sore still too.. I only have little boobs so I feel for any of you ladies on the other end. I'm excited to go up a bra size though.. pregnancy bonus 🤭

This is naughty maybe to say but I miss my wine tonight!! Only 5 weeks in 🙈 but I've settle with a nice cold glass of sprite and we're having a takeaway tonight so I'm happy. I hope you're all okay!

I am shattered tonight but it's DPs birthday so we're having games night and a take away but I really want to just go to bed 🙈

@embob993 I looked out my bra from when my milk came in with DD and it was an F 😱 I'm normally a D 😂

We've pretty much picked our names 😂

FlowerJ · 01/04/2022 19:37

@embob993 I have to say I'm excited for my boobs to re-inflate 😂 Not enjoying the B Cup life hahaa

@BuchananBaby I love that you have your names picked out already 😍 That's organisation goals right there haha

Enjoy your takeaways ladies! We had cereal because this mama could not be bothered doing the food shop today 😂🙈

KittyKat1989 · 01/04/2022 19:49

@embob993 I just came here to ask for tips to avoid the alcohol all weekend! I usually start Friday night with a glass of bubbles and “Nozeco” isn’t going down particularly well! Ideas gratefully received!

BuchananBaby · 01/04/2022 20:05

@FlowerJ I'm quite lucky my DP has agreed on names I like or we wouldn't have any 😂 sometimes ceral really is the best especially coco pops for dinner 🙈😂

Anyone else really spotty? I've totally broke out all over my face 😐 I look like I've just hit puberty all over again 😂😂

LolaJ87 · 01/04/2022 20:55

So glad I’m not the only one who got a takeaway tonight! I felt a bit guilty because I’m classed as obese and am trying to eat well but I had a swim followed by a curry and I feel really good for the first time in days! Hope everyone is having a lovely Friday night!

FlowerJ · 01/04/2022 22:16

Agreeing on names is the worst!
NGL I equally enjoyed eating cereal for tea 😂 In fact that's been a craving in all my pregnancies so will be interesting to see if it makes a return haha

I've got a few spots but nothing worse then the usual PMS spots so far xx

Nutella99 · 01/04/2022 22:27

@BuchananBaby My skin has been generally a bit rubbish after coming off the pill last year, but definitely even worse than usual this month.

@LolaJ87 We also got takeaway tonight!!

Mommabear20 · 02/04/2022 08:07

Very jealous of all your takeaways last night! I'd kill for an Indian right now!

Told DH about the baby last night and he's now not speaking to me 😢 I get that he's not happy about it, but he's forgotten it takes 2! And we were being careful so there's no blame to be placed!

Oh no ! I'm sure he will come round in a couple of days, it's such a big shock isn't it. Well I know for us it was lol Its definitely not sunk in for either of us
Mommabear20 · 02/04/2022 08:27

@FlowerJ I think we're going to sit down tonight and talk properly about it. I'm just worried he'll mention a termination as that would be the end of our marriage and I don't want that. 😢

I'm feeling better than I was at this point with my previous pregnancies which is nice but also weird! I'm optimistic that I might actually be able to keep this one a secret past 5 weeks 😂

BuchananBaby · 02/04/2022 08:51

@LolaJ87 don't feel guilty I actually think the scale they use to calculate healthy weights are rubbish! I'm classed as overweight but I'm in proportion and curvy. Certainly wouldn't class myself as overweight ❤️

@FlowerJ that's such a good craving! With my daughter it was the salt on mcdonalds chips I craved 😳😂

@Mommabear20 I'm so sorry you're getting the cold shoulder as Flower said he'll come round in a couple of days it is a huge shock for both of you! Sending love and I hope the chat goes well later ❤️ I know I want to just shout it at random people 🙈😂

Anyone found their children have started acting up since you found out? My DD is 1 and yesterday she bit me 😳 she's also started waking through the night and I'm like a zombie thinking how are we going to do this 🙈😂😂

LolaJ87 · 02/04/2022 09:26

@Mommabear20 I’m so sorry he reacted that way, that must be so hard. Hopefully he’ll come to his senses instead of blaming you, it’s probably just the shock. I know you’re trying to keep it secret but you should have a chat with someone else who will be excited for you, I think you’ll need the positive support.

@BuchananBaby I know, I generally think BMI is a load of rubbish and don’t even weigh myself. I’ve always been a curvy girl but I put on a lot of weight over the pandemic and now I’m quite big, I’m just scared it’ll negatively impact the pregnancy. Still the medical advice is no dieting now, just eat well and stay active so that’s what I’m going to focus on. Stressing over my weight definitely won’t help!
