So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

@lottie222

Ugh having the worst cramping tonight. It's just terrifying. Feels like awful period cramps. I just hope this is ok.
I've had cramping too. It's only occasional and is sometimes when I stand up it's more twingy. Please try not to worry ❤ cramping is a very common symptom from what I've learnt and from reading on experiences on here. I do understand how it can cause anxiety though because they unsettle me too

Oh no, I hope it's not too painful! I've been having cramps too, and although I try not to google things too much it does seem like it can be quite normal. Mine have been quite mild though I must say.. like very dull period pains on and off for the last few days.
lottie222 · 31/03/2022 20:25

I think it may be wind as the pain has moved up into my tummy and feels quite gassy. Sorry tmi! I think wind and bloating can be common. That's reassuring me a bit at least!! Thanks everyone for reassuring me x

lottie222 · 31/03/2022 20:26

@BoyMum18

Aaah I made a bad decision!!! Told my 3 year old that he's going to be a big brother (he's quite a rough and tumble little boy) so wanted him to be gentle with me. And he's started telling everyone he sees 😂😂
Oh I was wondering how that would work! My son is four and I know he would just go around telling everyone too! Shock
BoyMum18 · 31/03/2022 20:29

@lottie222 he's just so excited it's adorable. He was so upset when he realised he slipped up and told someone today. Luckily he was with my mum and she managed to cover it up

FlowerJ · 31/03/2022 20:57

Thank you @embob993! Congrats to you too 🥰

@lottie223 lots of cramping here too. It feels like a mixture between period cramps, wind and constipation 🤨 I keep thinking I'm going to come on.

lottie222 · 31/03/2022 21:03

@BoyMum18 aw that's so cute. I can't wait to tell my lo when and if I can. He's been asking for a baby brother for a while now but specifically "not a girl baby!"...

@FlowerJ yep mine feel exactly like that - it's awful isn't it. I've just been reassuring myself it's all normal and probably just bad wind.

Alfie wants a little sister, he has a big brother already. I'm trying to explain to him that it could be a brother but he's not convinced haha

It really is 🙈 Everytime I go to the loo I convince myself that I've come on because the cramps feel so much like period pain

Hi Ladies,

Hope it’s ok for me to join. I’m new to Mumsnet and this is my first pregnancy (at the grand age of 34). I’m approx 4 weeks and 5 days, due on 3 December.

I’m being walloped by symptoms (which is why I tested on Tuesday) but I feel bad for complaining because I want the pregnancy to go well (even if I feel like this every day until December).

Reading through all the posts so far has been really reassuring (yes the bloating already omg!) and I look forward to sharing this journey with you Grin

Haxeri · 01/04/2022 07:21

Week 5 and my boobs are giant meatballs of pain.

BuchananBaby · 01/04/2022 09:26

@FlowerJ I'm doing okay actually not really got any constant symptoms although I did sent my partner to tesco last night for a baguette and cheese and onion sandwich filler for dinner 🙈😂 how are you feeling?

@LolaJ87 congratulations 🥰

@Haxeri I feel your pain! My nipples looks like the sweets on top of an empire biscuit even through a bra and t-shirt 🙈😂😂😂

@Buchananbaby I'm glad you are feeling good so far! Oooo so the cravings begin already 😜 haha. I'm feeling good so far just hungry, tired, sore boobs and crampy. Oh and the joys of constipation have started already?! I thought that was for the 3rd trimester 😂 I'm also still searching for my motivation ... that seems to have buggered off

ceho88 · 01/04/2022 10:52

Another one here for cramps!! But I do remember having “period cramps” with my DD too and all was fine there, so must be normal.

LolaJ87 · 01/04/2022 11:55

Yes I'm having cramps as well, all last weekend I kept thinking my period was kicking in. I'm lucky that my mum is a midwife so every little thing I ask about, she's reassuring me is normal.

At the moment I seem very nauseous and headachey up until mid-afternoon, when I'm suddenly ravenous. I heaved putting on my bra this morning because I was already feeling pukey and then got a shock from how sore my boobs are. I didn't expect symptoms to kick in strongly so early but I see I'm not alone which deffo helps Smile

Has anyone booked an early scan? I'm planning on having one at 8 weeks.

MariaDingbat · 01/04/2022 12:14

Hi ladies, can I join? I got my BFP on weds and am still getting used to it! We had 2 losses before my daughter was born so I'm holding back in celebrating to early but I'm quality excited. I'm sure on the 7th of Dec, 2 weeks after my daughter's 2nd birthday and a month before my 43rd! :)

Nutella99 · 01/04/2022 12:32

Hello, please can I join? Can't quite believe I'm here!

I got a BFP on Sunday at 11DPO. My period isn't actually due until today but all (the many!!) tests I've done have been positive and getting stronger. I still don't think it will feel properly real for a few more days until AF definitely hasn't arrived.

Assuming all goes well I'll be due 10th December according to the NHS calculator.

I have been quite crampy and really bloaty for the last few days so I'm glad to read so many comments of others experiencing the same! Ironically my worst cramps were when I crouched down in Boots to get a pregnancy test off the bottom shelf then stood up. Cue me googling "can you squash implanted embryo"...! 😂🥲

Mommabear20 · 01/04/2022 12:33

Afternoon all! Only real symptom here is nausea, I had that fairly early on with the last 2 as well so I see I'm not going to escape it this time either. Have had slight cramping and sore boobs but nothing too severe yet. Hopefully going to tell DH over the weekend, unless I chicken out that is!

FlowerJ · 01/04/2022 13:01

Welcome and congratulations to all the new ladies! 😀
@LolaJ87 I'd been wondering about booking an early scan too. Feel like it might help it all sink in. Doesnt feel real atm lol
@Nutella99 I keep thinking the same 😂 My jeans keep digging in and I'm like wait am I squishing the baby? Haha
@Mommabear20 Hoping I'm going to avoid the nausea this time but not hopeful. It's so debilitating isn't it 😔

TheFantastic7 · 01/04/2022 13:10

Is anyone else extremely exhausted? I feel like I can't keep my eyes open! Also getting cramps from time to time, which I see a lot of you are experiencing so that makes me panic less. I have found a private scan clinic nearby that does scans from 7 weeks so I'm going to book that but for when I'm about 9/10 weeks incase they don't see anything from being so early and ill work myself into a stateBlush

Mommabear20 · 01/04/2022 13:24

@TheFantastic7 I'm not feeling to tired at the moment, I remember feeling exhausted right away with my first 2, but I'm not sure if I just don't have the time to be tired this time around 😂 or it'll kick in in the next week, I'll be 4 weeks tomorrow (I think! I was on contraceptives so I'm not 100% sure of dates!)

TheFantastic7 · 01/04/2022 13:31

@Mommabear20 Funnily enough thinking about it, I was this tired from the get go with my 2 boys, with the 3 girls (yes this is my 6thShock) it was more into the 2nd trimester, wonder if that means anything!

Meowcat89 · 01/04/2022 13:35

I haven't really had all that much cramping yet, but then I do have endometriosis so maybe I've just not noticed my usual crippling pain 😅 my boobs are sore on and off but I actually feel quite good atm which I don't know if that's worrying or not, given everyone else seems to be having symptoms! I am thirstier and therefore weeing more but nothing out of the ordinary to report yet. 😬

TheFantastic7 · 01/04/2022 13:39

@Meowcat89 it goes too show that every woman is different! I too would think if you have lived with endometriosis you unlikely to notice a few cramps here and there! Maybe you'll be lucky and have the smoothest pregnancy, one can hopeGrin i am peeing more actually but no change to boobs!
