So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

Is anyone taking prenatal vitamins yet? If so which ones? I was taking pregncare ones for the past week but I think they add to my cramps😩 so I've stopped taking them

MrsCrumbtious · 10/04/2022 16:14

@MiaSparkle I’m taking Boots pregnancy ones which are like pregnacare but only £3. Think as long as your diet is fairly healthy you only need to take folic acid and vitamin D

Congrats to ya! I'm one week ahead of you and this is my third child, it's the first time experiencing sore nipples Blush and my farts are really bad lmao sorry I know too much info

Hahaha you have no idea how much that made me laugh 🥰 I have all of the pumping and none of the pooping at the mo! And thankyou, congratulations to you too!! My tummy is so bloated and I'm not even trim to start with. I do enjoy pretending I look 8 months pregnant in the mirror though🤣 @Chantastic83

@BuchananBaby oh phew! Glad I'm not the only one! Also, glad you had fun! I thought of you last night and how you were finding it. I've got the all clear from the lurg and went to an engagement do yesterday and felt the same way this morning 🤣 I felt sick, tired and very woolley headed. I won't be long before bed 🙈 it was satisfying not going to bed a wreck though, completely different experience doing nights out sober but somehow loved it!

@Sdoubleyou bless you I completely understand your worries, its such a delicate time. Maybe it's something you can bring up with your midwife? I've started a list of things to ask mine when I meet her because it will be our first baba and everything is so new! That's a good idea.. Will see what I can do 🙊 I have to admit my drive has dropped loads!

Awww bless ya 💜 my farts are something else I tell ya, I am however a bit nervous as I'm about to be 39 next month and I am in the morbidly obese bracket 😢 I'm really scared and nervous but hoping that it will be ok 🙏🏾 I am looking forward to doing a gender reveal as I never did that with my older two, what a big age gap 14 years later and becoming a new mommy all over again and snap to looking in the mirror 😂😁
lovesT · 10/04/2022 18:43

It's weird to want to feel rubbish with pregnancy symptoms isn't it haha. I've been feeling on and off nauseous mostly when I'm hungry, last time I remember mini cheddars helped when I was feeling a bit queasy, never sick though. We told my husband's side of the family last night as his parents are here and we won't see them again until June.

I've already had my scan letter through which feels so quick! End of next month so that's exciting and scary at the same time 😊 I hope everyone is doing well. Can't help but worry at times but a lot of what I'm feeling is the same or similar to what I felt with my daughter. Having a few stretching kind of pains on either side today and tiredness is a lot! I've got a uni assignment that I have to do so I need to find the energy as well as look after my toddler 😭😅

Mommabear20 · 10/04/2022 18:45

I've had to get my manager to order me some maternity work shirts as I've bloated so much my normal ones don't fit! 😂 I might try and get away without them for this week and hide it with a jacket but after that I highly doubt I'll get in them at all!

BuchananBaby · 10/04/2022 19:12

@embob993 I honestly couldn't believe how much of a good time I had last night sober! I've had 2 naps today and I sound like a 12 year old boy my voice is all over the place 🙈😂 I'm glad you're better and can get out and about 🥰

@lovesT were they over the moon? Good luck with the uni assignment 🙂

@Mommabear20 I totally get you! I'm going back to the office in 2 weeks and I've not been in since I was 6 months pregnant with my daughter and I'm just going to tell people I still have baby weight from her (not a total lie) 🙈😂

lovesT · 10/04/2022 19:19

@Buchananbaby yes they were 🥰 my sister in law is 20 weeks pregnant and we had our first babies close together too so if all goes well it will be so exciting to be pregnant together again ❤️

LolaJ87 · 10/04/2022 19:50

@Chantastic83 I’m obese too, in my mid-30s and it’s my first! Try not to worry too much, the odds of things going well are still much higher than anything going wrong. I really think morbidly obese is a silly label anyway, you’re obviously living your life and conceived a baby, you’re not dying from your weight. Don’t let a label like that bring you down or add extra stress.

Loving hearing how many of you are bloated as well! It really makes me feel better. I’m bloated every day, it gets worse as the day goes in and is much higher up than normal! It just seems mad, I wasn’t expecting any physical changes this early on 😳 between the bloating and my boobs, I already look different.

Awww congrats on your first pregnancy journey, and thank you, you have a good point, will try not to worry myself about it. This bloated feeling is something else lolGrinI'm looking forward to my first scan at the hospital. Hopefully I will hear soon as I was only referred by my GP last week

PinkFizz1 · 10/04/2022 20:19

Girls I’m having such a rough time tonight. Just had a wee cry to my partner. I just can’t shake the feeling that somethings going to go wrong. Plus, apart from sore boobs I just don’t feel pregnant. I feel like this is all a dream and I’m going to wake up soon.
Like I can’t let myself believe it. I just can’t envisage getting to 12 weeks and everything being alright. Or having our baby in our arms this year. I just can’t see it happening & I don’t know why Sad

LolaJ87 · 10/04/2022 20:29

@PinkFizz1 I think some worry/anxiety is really normal but it sounds like you’re really struggling and it might be worth a chat with your GP. I’ve struggle with anxiety before and while I wasn’t pregnant at the time, I had that same thing of always waiting for the worst outcome to happen. Pregnancy hormones can throw everything out of whack, and it could be a simple chemical imbalance making you feel this way. It might settle down but either way a chat with your GP would probably be for the best. I hope your partner is being a wonderful support in the meantime.

MrsCrumbtious · 10/04/2022 20:33

Has anyone been sneezing more lately (not hay fever related?) had to google this and it’s actually a thing lol hurts a bit too!

Mommabear20 · 10/04/2022 20:44

Have told H that I'm keeping baby (again) tonight as he's still been acting like it's still up for debate, and now he's back to not speaking to me. I honestly don't know what to do now. 😢

lovesT · 10/04/2022 21:01

@MrsCrumbtious no, but that's an interesting symptom! My least favourite symptom right now is everything smells 🤢 we've recently moved and got brand new sofas and they stink, I don't enjoy sitting on them at all and hoping it doesn't last long! No one else can smell it 🙄

Goodas91 · 10/04/2022 23:42

@Seajelly4life I’m your due date twin, hey girl. We tested positive on the same day too Smile

Made the mistake of having a 3 hour nap this afternoon while the OH watched football so looks like I’ll be awake half the night tonight

Pinkfig · 11/04/2022 07:47

Morning ladies I hope you are all feeling well. Smile

I'm 4 weeks today! Grateful to have made it this far. Will be pleased when I get to 6 weeks.

I was thinking of getting a private reassurance scan at 10 weeks. Has anyone done this before. Part of me thinks it's a waste of money and that what will be will be and having loads of scans isn't going to change anything.

RoseGold24 · 11/04/2022 08:08

Hi @Pinkfig congrats! I think I will be getting one earlier than that otherwise I will just be in a blind panic til 12 weeks! I think it will certainly reassure me all being well so worth it.

DogsAndGin · 11/04/2022 08:35

Anyone else getting excited about decorating the nursery!? 😆😅

What kind of look are you going for?

@lovesT that's fantastic 🥰

@PinkFizz1 I'm so sorry you're feeling like this definitely speak with your GP and let them know how anxious you are and they should be able to help ❤️

Aww @Mommabear20 I'm sorry you're going through this again, you shouldn't be getting treated like that he needs to give his head a wobble

I got woke up a few times last night with the dreaded round ligament pain felt like my muscles were ripping 😩 was hoping my muscles were all stretched out from having my daughter last year and I'd avoid it this time 🙈😂

RoseGold24 · 11/04/2022 08:56

Aw I love all those pics @DogsAndGin especially the greeny botanical wallpaper! I'm scared to look that far ahead yet! How far along are you?

Ivy23 · 11/04/2022 09:20

@Pinkfig I have just booked an early scan for 8/9 weeks (I'm 6 weeks at the moment). I feel like having the early scan will really confirm this is happening... apart from the nausea I can't really believe it.
Meet your miracle was a lovely place, really put me at ease last time.

Also- anyone else suffering with nausea? Any tips on what to eat? Trying sickness bands today!
