So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

Hi ladies,

I am 5 weeks tomorrow I think, due 12th December.

I’m really nervous! And totally overwhelmed, I’m just really tired! And have gas, bloating and a bit off pain. Like very mild cramps 🙈

Was a little happy surprise so a bit shocked.

How is everyone doing? 🥰

Yecats86 · 09/04/2022 15:44

Cautiously optimistically joining this thread!!
I miscarried at 10 weeks last June and then lost twins at 10 weeks in December, throw 5 chemical pregnancies in to the mix in between all of that and we get to now, 4w 3d with what will hopefully be our rainbow 🌈
OH won't let me talk about it at home as he's convinced we're going to lose again, i dont blame him, half of me thinks the same.
So for now I'll come here to discuss my little glimmer of hope and optimism that this will be the one.
I have a DS who is 10 this year so very fortunate already!!

Haxeri · 09/04/2022 15:53

@MiaSparkle

And is anyone actually going to buy maternity clothes or just get clothes in a bigger size ?
I tend to wear floaty dresses, especially in the summer so I reckon I'll be able to get away with not buying anything new until the autumn/winter and even then I plan on just getting a few pairs of maternity leggings 🤞🏻🤞🏻
DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 16:10

@Amphibian94 not had any brown discharge this time (yet) but have had with previous pregnancies, you'll find out what's going on at your scan on Monday 🥰 If you get any more bleeding and/or pain call EPU. Hope you get on OK x

@Yecats86 welcome to the thread! I hope we can be a source of support to you at what must be an incredibly anxious time. I have had 4 miscarriages, 2x chemical pregnancies and 2x MMC (one at 9 weeks in 2013 and one at 11 weeks in December last year) so I know how difficult these early weeks are. I am currently 6 weeks and 1 day, trying not to panic over every symptom! I have a scan at the recurrent miscarriage clinic at 7 weeks 5 days. They would've seen me next week but the consultant is away for Easter!

Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way 🤞🤞🤞

I’ve been feeling really unwell the last couple of days. Today I’m weepy, tired and can’t get warm, but I’ve made it to 6 weeks and I feel like that’s a little mini milestone.

Has anyone else been feeling insanely emotional? I hope everyone is doing ok.

Mommabear20 · 09/04/2022 18:07

@LolaJ87 I had a crazy emotional day on Thursday, I'm generally not emotional or overly hormonal during my previous pregnancies so that hit me hard as I was not expecting it!

I'm having a very serious conversation with my DH tonight about keeping baby bean.

I'm getting my first twinge of nausea this evening which is not fun 😭

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 19:30

Update on these cramps.. so I got up to go downstairs, couldn't stand up for me than a second otherwise I'd feel sick. I come back upstairs to eat my food , starting eating and as soon as I bent over I had the worst stabbing pain ever. It's now a constant pain I'm having, my mom reckons I should phone 111 to see what they say because realistically I should go hospital for checks because this can't be normal , can it? Anyone have any thoughts

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 19:32

^^additional to that. The cramps are only bad on one side of my belly. Feels like my ribs

DogsAndGin · 09/04/2022 19:58

Hi girls, new to this thread! Congratulations to you all.

I am due 15th Dec according to the nhs website. So, I am 4 weeks pregnant and don’t have a single symptom yet, anyone else not feeling any different?

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 20:00

Addition to this - had 2 calls backs, no ambulance involved but been told I'm gonna get another call back later tonight and to take paracetamol

Just putting this out there incase anyone is feeling the same and not sure on what to do ❤️

Welcome and congrats 💕💕
MrsCrumbtious · 09/04/2022 20:01

@MiaSparkle definitely worth getting yourself checked out better safe than sorry lovely

Hope you’ve all had a good Saturday ❤️ Went to my besties baby shower today and it was really hard not to tell her and also think of some good excuses why i wasn’t drinking Prosecco (absolutely not like me at all!)

Nejnej · 09/04/2022 20:17

@MiaSparkle
Definitely go get checked if the pain is that severe, an ectopic pregnancy needs ruling out. Fingers crossed everything is ok xx

LolaJ87 · 09/04/2022 20:18

@Mommabear20 thank you, that helps! I hope this passes, it’s embarrassing to cry for no reason 🙈

@MiaSparkle you poor thing. I really hope everything is ok, that sounds scary. Fingers crossed it settles down and is nothing serious but I hope they properly check you out just in case.

littlecontis · 09/04/2022 20:31

@DogsAndGin Everyone is different so don't worry too much about symptoms yet! I know it's hard!

@MiaSparkle I hope everything is okay, sending lots of virtual hugs x

@MrsCrumbtious Well done to going to your friend's baby shower!
, must have been super difficult to not tell a soul, what excuses did you make for not drinking? I declined two dinners this week as I didn't want to have to explain to people about why I wasn't drinking (super unlike me!) I did tell one of them (my ex-boss who I am very close to) that I am going through something and would tell him when the time is right, I think he got it immediately and asked me to call him whenever I need him which was lovely.

Having said that, I just cried a little after reading a few misfortunates that have happened to a few ladies here. I am only 5+2, why does time go so slowly in the past week!

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 21:44

Yes I'm okay now. I don't know what that was all about but literally feels like nothing has been in pain. I'm not feeling any cramping now or anything. Just a tiny bit heavy in my stomach , nothing I'd be worried about. But my mom reckons tomoz I should go hospital anyways to get the worst ruled out and ti make sure everything is okay.... thank you everyone 💕

KittyKat1989 · 09/04/2022 22:49

Hi ladies. It’s great to see new names joining every day - congratulations to you all!

I think I will be 6W tomorrow. I’ve had cramps all day, which feel like I’m about to start my period. Has anybody else had this?

Mac4431 · 10/04/2022 00:15

@kittykat1989
I have felt like this last few days, it’s not constant and not as sore as period cramps.

No bleeding or anything.

I think it’s just muscles/pulling etc. 😊

MrsCrumbtious · 10/04/2022 06:18

@littlecontis I said I had to drive/pick up my DH from the pub, it was all going well until my friend asked what I was doing with my DD 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m a terrible liar! So glad you have supportive and understanding people around you that really helps ❤️

Been reunited with my old friend pregnancy insomnia so got up and gave the kitchen a blitz and currently eating a ham and cheese sandwich before the nausea starts in the near future!

Happy Sunday lovelies

RSmamaa · 10/04/2022 06:48

@MiaSparkle you definitely need to get maternity bottoms but tops/dresses you can get away with. I find the smock style great for bumps

MiaSparkle · 10/04/2022 07:19

6 weeks today🤞 fingers crossed we can all carry on our journey together, half way to 12 weeks💕

KittyKat1989 · 10/04/2022 07:35

Thank you. That reassuring. X

PinkFizz1 · 10/04/2022 07:45

Ah @MiaSparkle you’re a week ahead of me, I’m 5 weeks today 🙏🏼 Another milestone, I’m thankful for everyday at the moment.

My boobs are so sore especially in the mornings but I’ve not had any sickness or anything yet.. maybe this week the symptoms will really kick in? 🤞🏼
Hopefully midwife calls for my booking in appointment this week too.

MiaSparkle · 10/04/2022 07:54

@PinkFizz1 these cramps are killing me atm🤣 but it'll be all worth it at the end🤰🥳
