So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

@Msritab

Hiya. Im due the 6th Dec….i really really want t book a early scan but scared 😳 too. My dd is 10 so its a huge gap. How are you feeling so far? I have zero sickness just achey boobs and the shakes. Xx
Hello! I am scared too so waiting until I am 6 weeks to book (currently 5+2). My symptoms so far have been mild cramps, headaches and fatigue xx
DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 12:12

@PinkFizz1 I know how hard it is. I've been there a number of times and I suffer from anxiety so I know how frustrating it is. But I have learnt through bitter experience and various sessions of cbt that it does you no good to keep checking and checking. Take it one day at a time, even one hour at a time if necessary. Obviously, if you have any bleeding or pain then you can call EPU and get seen. This all sounds very cliche but try and do something nice for yourself each day 🥰

DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 12:15

@MiaSparkle always get pain and bleeding checked. It might put your mind at rest if you get seen by a medical professional 😊

Sdoubleyou · 09/04/2022 13:01

@pinkblush29, I'm so so sorry. We'll all be thinking of you and sending you much love. Be kind to yourself. ❤️

@MrsCrumbtious, I've been having that exact problem, which the lovely ladies here have pointed out might be because of my prenatal vitamin. I looked into it and there are sometimes stool softeners in them to counteract the iron. I'm actually hoping for a little constipation (I know I'm going to regret that soon!)

Mommabear20 · 09/04/2022 13:08

@pinkblush29 I'm so sorry! Take care of yourself! 🥰

Pinkfig · 09/04/2022 13:45

Can I join ladies, I'm 3 weeks 4 days, tested positive yesterday at 11dpo. I had an mmc at 10 weeks last August so hoping for a sticky bean this time round.

This will be my second I have a 5 year old (also born in December) and I'm desperate to give her a sibling.

I'm due 19th December according to premom.

I'm trying to stay positive but am terrified i'll lose this one too, I'm also 40 years old (only just). I'll take it a week at a time.

Mommabear20 · 09/04/2022 13:48

@Pinkfig welcome!! So exciting to see more of us joining every day! All these Christmas babies are exciting!! Although I am hoping mine comes a little bit earlier than expected and arrives end of November!

Goodas91 · 09/04/2022 13:56

Hi ladies!

I tested positive a few days ago at 9dpo after what I imagine was implantation bleeding the day before. A little surprised so didn’t believe it until I’d done 3 different brands of HPT Grin Currently 4+1 with due date of 17th December.

A little worried as we’re off on holiday in a few days and I had an MC at 5+3 while abroad this time last year which led to a very traumatic D&C with very little anaesthetic. Fingers crossed that it’s all fine but I’m feeling optimistic as my lines are much stronger this time. Congrats to everyone with positive tests!

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 13:57

So I phoned nhs and basically explained how I'm feeling. They said it's completely normal to feel a "like period pain" but does anyone get medical advice and still wanna check further or just me ?🤣

Noodle87 · 09/04/2022 13:57

Hi, can I join the thread too? I tested positive on Monday, estimating due date to be 9th December. Didn't really believe I would be even though I was a bit late - I only bought the tests because I found some in a reduced bin....

I've just turned 35 and this will be my first. I'm quite anxious about it, and it doesn't quite feel real yet.

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 13:58

@Mommabear20 I'm hoping mine comes later than 3rd December 🤣I've always wanted a Christmas baby🤶not on Christmas but near enough aha

Mommabear20 · 09/04/2022 14:02

@MiaSparkle haha 😂 I'm sure on the 10th, but I have twin nieces birthdays on the 15th and we don't have any birthdays in November so that would be awesome! Both my DC have arrived 6 days early so I'm hopeful that this one will be an early bird too!

DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 14:12

@Pinkfig wishing you all the best with your pregnancy! Take it one day at a time 🥰

Amphibian94 · 09/04/2022 14:20

Anyone has vvvvvvv faint brown on tissue when wiping? I'm 6w today, and it was just the one time, nothing when wiping now. Can't help but be anxious about it! My scan is on Monday thankfully, really nervous about it.

I'm not bothered when, but my OH has already mentioned the world cup several times 🤦🏼‍♀️

calimc83 · 09/04/2022 14:53

@Goodas91 Congratulations!! I'm also going abroad in May when hopefully I'm around 11 weeks but scared of having any complications when I'm out there 😫 ( my last pregnancy was a MMC at 9 weeks) xx

Haxeri · 09/04/2022 14:53

Ok, so it will be my first time, so I might be being incredibly naive, but I keep seeing people being like "my baby is 4 months old and I haven't showered or peed or eaten or existed since they were born" and I'm thinking...just put the baby down somewhere safe and go shower dude...naive?

Pinkfig · 09/04/2022 15:04

I used to take mine in the bathroom with me when I had a shower if they weren't napping, and even then I took the baby monitor in with me.

Mommabear20 · 09/04/2022 15:04

@Haxeri yes it is harder, but I do think allot of people are overly dramatic! I have 2 under 2 and manage to shower every day. I'll either have one on a night when they're in bed, or I'll put them into their cots with a couple of safe toys and have their bedrooms baby monitor on my phone visible while I shower.

Pinkfig · 09/04/2022 15:05

Thank you x

StarveInn · 09/04/2022 15:08

Very much dependant on the baby you get in my experience. I certainly managed to shower every day and eat with ds but others in my MN group struggled with Velcro babies
MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 15:20

Anyone going aboard this year? Any worries about travelling pregnant or advice ?

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 15:22

And is anyone actually going to buy maternity clothes or just get clothes in a bigger size ?

StarveInn · 09/04/2022 15:29

@MiaSparkle
No holidays abroad for us this year, a couple of UK holidays planned though.

Re. maternity clothes, I found tops easier to get away with in a bigger size but don’t think I could have managed without maternity trousers/leggings/jeans

Goodas91 · 09/04/2022 15:38

@calimc83 thank you! Congratulations to you too. Fingers crossed that it all goes well and we can both enjoy our holidays! I’ll probably end up testing a couple times when I’m there just to be sure haha
