So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

Hi everyone. Found out about our little bean a few days ago. This is our second. By LMP I'm 4+3 but by ovulation I'm 3+5 and due Dec 20th 😳 so close to Christmas I hope they come a couple weeks early or later 😆 can totally picture myself in labour on xmas day

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 08:01

Has anyone got any advice on how to deal with morning sickness. I'm having the worst cramps🤕 I always go light headed when I get up or feel sick. I'm having to go on travels today which involves walking and trains and sitting down in the hairdressers for 2+ hours😩 I'm only comfortable lying down atm🤣 paracetamol , hot water bottle .... any advice would really help ?

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 08:05

I take the pregncare original tablets atm aswell. Do we think they aren't helping because when I was taking the pregncare conceive, my belly was in agony

DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 08:09

@MiaSparkle I really feel for I've had dreadful nausea and sickness with a few of my pregnancies.

The best advice I can give is have some food little and often and plenty of water, just sip it so your tummy isn't overwhelmed. A walk outside in the fresh air always helps too, even if it's just for 10 minutes. Listen to your body. Hope you have a good day!

BuchananBaby · 09/04/2022 08:15

@MrsCrumbtious congratulations 🥰, yeah when I first found out I was going 6+ times a day then it changed to constipation 🙈

@RSmamaa congratulations 🥰, haha hopefully not and you still get your Xmas dinner 😋

Aww @MiaSparkle I can't help much with the sickness but I get the dizzy thing and you just need to take it slow leave extra time incase you need to sit down and take your hot water bottle with you incase you need it ❤️ I never used pregnacare because it messed with my cycle ttc DD but I'd come off them to see if it helps

DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 08:20

@MrsCrumbtious at this early stage your hormones are all over the place and play havoc with your digestive system. If its bad, continues for a few days and you're getting dehydrated then call your GP. It could be a tummy bug

pinkblush29 · 09/04/2022 08:41

Im now testing completely negative and have period pains. Waiting for my bleed to happen. My third loss. Im devastated and don't even have words anymore.

Good luck to you all xx

BuchananBaby · 09/04/2022 09:02

TheFantastic7 · 09/04/2022 09:14

@pinkblush29 oh I am so so sorry to hear this Sad take it easy love one hour at a time, something to think about down the line is getting in contact with your GP to see if there are tests that can be done, where I am 3+ losses mean they will investigate. Big hugs to you Flowers

RoseGold24 · 09/04/2022 09:25

Hi everyone!

I'd love to join this post :) I found out Monday that I'm pregnant after TTC for 5 months and due around 7th of December I believe.

I've got a little girl who's almost 2 and can't wait to make her big sister.

I am too feeling in the anxiety of hoping this pregnancy is a healthy and successful one!

Is anyone doing any early scans? Or just staying positive and waiting for NHS 12 week one? X

TheFantastic7 · 09/04/2022 09:35

@killwithkindness hello to you! Congratulations, your EDD is the day before meGrin some of us are/have already booked a private scan from 7 weeks+, i personally just feel that reassurance will help me massively!

DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 09:43

@pinkblush29 I am so sorry you are experiencing another loss, I know how this feels and I am sending you lots of love and support, you are not alone. I wish you all the best for a successful pregnancy in the future. Take care ❤

PinkFizz1 · 09/04/2022 09:46

@pinkblush29 so sorry lovely please take care of yourself x

Hello to all the new posters! @killwithkindness I have a private scan booked for a couple of weeks when I’ll be 7+2 so I’m anxiously counting down the days until then 🤞🏼

I am still so torn whether to take another digital this weekend. I really want to see 3+ but if it’s gone down to 1-2 I will be devastated. I just don’t know what to do for the best?

Laughingmole · 09/04/2022 09:51

@pinkblush29 sorry to hear that. Sending lots of love and baby wishes for the future xx

Amphibian94 · 09/04/2022 09:58

@pinkblush29 sending hugs, I know exactly how you feel xx

DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 09:59

@PinkFizz1 honestly, you'll drive yourself crazy taking anymore tests! I totally understand the need to have some control over the situation but HCG blood tests or an ultrasound scan are the only ways you'll get definitive answers. If you can hold out until your early scan then do that. If you have any pain/ bleeding, call EPU, they will be able to scan you and tell you what's happening. I hate this early stage where everything is full of uncertainty. How many weeks are you now? X

PinkFizz1 · 09/04/2022 10:04

@DogTired22 maybe you’re right. It’s just such an anxious time and especially with it being my first ever pregnancy I’m so new to it all! I’m pretty sure on my dates and I’m 4+6 today so I’ve got 17 days until my early scan. Each day feels like a week!

I think I will probably try my hardest not to test again. I’ve not had any pain or bleeding so far (fingers crossed) so I think unless I do I will try and accept that right now I’m pregnant. (It’s so much easier said than done right?!)

MiaSparkle · 09/04/2022 10:13

@DogTired22 @BuchananBaby I've now told my mom because the pains were just getting worse😩 she asked her friend who's ex midwife and she said realistically I should go hospital if they get any worse because I'm having period like pains. Doesn't know if that's normal but it's always best for a check up at hospital because I'm not due a scan yet

littlecontis · 09/04/2022 10:31

@PinkFizz1 I totally get it, it's my first pregnancy too and I've been secretly taking a test (just the cheap ones off ebay) every morning. I still haven't had the courage to book an early scan, will wait until week 6 for a last minute appointment.

Mommabear20 · 09/04/2022 11:23

I may have made my first baby purchases this week 😂 baby now has a blanket for in the car (an essential in England if your gonna be born in December!) and a backpack for their swimming lessons 🤣

littlecontis · 09/04/2022 11:24

Oh @Mommabear20 ! I was shopping at charity shops yesterday and had to stop myself from looking at those cute little baby cardigans 🫢

Msritab · 09/04/2022 11:25
