So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

Thanks so much ladies… I feel a bit better just knowing we’re all in this together!

Beautytobe · 08/04/2022 16:43

Bloods came back today and they have doubled “it’s encouraging” they said so why do I feel more anxious than ever!

Nutella99 · 08/04/2022 17:00

@PinkFizz1 I have the same kind of cramps too. It's really reassuring that so many of us are having them.

The fatigue has really hit me today. I had to stop work early (thank god for working from home and flexitime) and go and have a nap. I've literally never done that before in 2+ years of wfh!

LolaJ87 · 08/04/2022 17:15

@Beautytobe It's probably because getting good news gets our hopes up and you're scared to do that. But that's such great news, and you should be hopeful! Try to enjoy it if you can.

@Nutella99 You're not alone. I am so tired and headachey today, though the headache is FINALLY starting to lift. I think it must just be the stage we are at, our bodies are doing a LOT.

I think I'm going to be naughty and order in tonight. I wanted to cut down on the takeaways but this week has felt 3 weeks long and I need a break/something to look forward to.

33mama · 08/04/2022 17:30

Hi ladies, congratulations to you all.

Hope it's okay that I join, I tested positive 29th march and going by calculator online I'm due 14th December.

littlecontis · 08/04/2022 18:06

@PinkFizz1 I've been having cramps on and off too, and before my BFP so I really wasn't expecting a BFP! I've also read that it's normal. I find myself googling about every little thing that is happening to my body for the past week (which feels like WEEKS already)

@Beautytobe amazing! Stay positive and hopeful, we all need to be!

I finally received the letter from my maternity unit, already put it in my DH's diary. I'll be 9+1 - does anyone know if I will get a scan at this appointment? If yes, I might reconsider getting an early scan at 7.

littlecontis · 08/04/2022 18:06

@33mama congratulations and welcome! Will this be your first baby?

Nejnej · 08/04/2022 18:10

@littlecontis It'll likely just be a booking appointment, with a scan nearer 12 weeks separately

littlecontis · 08/04/2022 18:12

@Nejnej Thank you! I will go ahead with an early scan then!

Sdoubleyou · 08/04/2022 18:35

Ugh same stomach problems, even without any coffee. @bbno2, I'm thinking you're right about the vitamins. I'll tinker with when I take them and try another one if it doesn't help.

Sdoubleyou · 08/04/2022 18:37

For everyone's amusement, I went for a walk at lunch and barely made it home. Pregnancy is beautiful :)

LolaJ87 · 08/04/2022 18:41

@33mama congrats and welcome!

Something I’m finding very helpful is an app called Ovia - I love the little daily updates and there’s also a symptom checker which is dead handy 😁

Hope everyone is set for a relaxing weekend, we all deserve it!

bbno2 · 08/04/2022 18:46

@Sdoubleyou the boots basic folic acid and vitamin d ones are cheap and fine to use whilst you rule out the other ones. I’m sure supermarkets also do an equivalent product.

I think it’s the iron in the pregnacare ones that made my stomach bad. I remember having to do an emergency motorway service stop when taking them whilst driving with a colleague who didn’t know I was expecting. Not glamorous at all! 🙈

bbno2 · 08/04/2022 18:47

@LolaJ87 love the Ovia app. I also like that you can chose a random thing to compare baby too. I’ve chosen baked goods for now 😂

StarveInn · 08/04/2022 18:53

Hi,
I hope it’s ok for me to join, I tested positive this morning, due 6th Dec. I had an early miscarriage in November so I’m cautiously excited. I already have DS who is 5 and we’ve been trying since last April.

Amphibian94 · 08/04/2022 18:53

@Sdoubleyou I also only take boots or tesco basic vit D and folic acid tablets, much cheaper!

And for anyone taking aspirin, I also just get tesco or boots own for about 75p!

33mama · 08/04/2022 18:53
@33mama congratulations and welcome! Will this be your first baby?
Thank you 😊, this is my 6th a little surprise baby lol.

LolaJ87 · 08/04/2022 18:55

@bbno2 me too! Things found in a Parisian bakery, it’s so specific 🤣 I check all the options though, I find it interesting and it makes it more real. I’m 6 weeks tomorrow so it’ll update again then, I’m excited to see what it is this week!

I have Pregnancy+ as well, which is another good one. You can see a 3D Model week by week which I like!

Sdoubleyou · 08/04/2022 19:36

@bbno2, @Amphibian94, I'm in Canada so I'll check out what alternative I can get that's similar to that. I hope I still have the receipt so I can exchange the 200 pills I just bought last week!

MochaHoldTheMilkAndCoffee · 08/04/2022 20:37

Thank you all for the good luck ❤
Sorry for the delay, I left the hospital and started a 5 hour car journey with a demanding toddler!
By LMP I'm 6w2d but as my cycles are long I'm 5wd5.
The scan showed me as 5w3d, a sac with no baby which Google tells me is expected but it sounds horrid.
They took my blood today to check my HCG levels and will take blood again on Sunday to make sure it's doubling.
I have a second scan booked for the 19th when there should be a heartbeat.

Thank you so much for your support it's so nice to know you all understand.

Msritab · 08/04/2022 23:13

Hi all….due Dec 6th
So nice to meet you all x

MrsCrumbtious · 09/04/2022 07:15

Hi I’m tentatively dipping a toe in here but found out last night that we’re expecting baby #2 ❤️, a bit surprised (and excited of course!) as we only DTD twice and not that close to ovulation. We’ve been TTC for 18 months and I’m 38 so really thought the odds were stacked against us. Not many symptoms so far apart from slightly tender but massive boobs 🙈 and a bit of insomnia but that might be from feeling anxious/nervous/excited!
Sticky baby dust to all of us xxx

DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 07:17

Good morning everyone!

How are you all this morning? My morning sickness has really kicked in the last couple of days 🤢 I'm waking early about 5am. Had a couple of rich tea biscuits and some water about 5:30 , now attempting some plain yoghurt. In my last pregnancy (which ended in MMC) I had the most awful morning sickness, fingers crossed it won't be so bad this time 🤞

@MochaHoldTheMilkAndCoffee how are you today? Thinking about you

DogTired22 · 09/04/2022 07:21

@MrsCrumbtious welcome and congratulations!

I'm 38 too! My mum had me at 41 and my good friend had her little boy at 42 so keep positive!

MrsCrumbtious · 09/04/2022 07:40

Sorry for the TMI question so early in the morning but was/is diarrhoea a symptom for any of you? Don’t remember this happening with crumb #1 🚽
